Morning
I don't like this working on Mondays business - the weekend feels very short Grin

I think you'll find that Aramis will be busy attending to my spiritual needs helen. Although I have a course this afternoon, so maybe schedule in RE after lunch?

LetUsPrey · 27/04/2020 13:50

Dog wasn’t available for PE —because I locked him in the dungeon— but fortunately Aramis had lots of ideas for various physical activities and we both got very sweaty.

In RL I’ve cleaned the fronts of my kitchen cupboards, and I’ve just remembered I’m supposed to do the ironing.

FancyFancy · 27/04/2020 16:04

Advantage of home working - when it starts to rain I can rescue the washing off the line. It did impact my attention to the course........It's a refresher course, so not requiring the highest level of concentration fortunately - have also sorted a load of socks and shredded some paper I was annoyed at how ill-disciplined I was last week & ended up finishing late every evening in order to make up time, so today I am trying to be more focussed and also to use all tea breaks for chores - so far have fed the birds, fed the cats, done laundry, put dishes away & have a half made bed.

ApricotCrush · 27/04/2020 17:16

Afternoon. Cloudy here but not cold. I have finally dead-headed the hydrangeas and now have backache for my trouble.

DH's headphones have broken so I can now hear his music and so can the neighbours. I wouldn't mind but he's playing 60s music which is fine but they are cover versions and DGS could do a better job. He has no taste.

Grin at takeaway tactics.

FancyFancy · 27/04/2020 17:41

apricot - cover versions? That's unforgiveable!

LetUsPrey · 27/04/2020 20:01

I’m impressed by your organisation and self-discipline Fancy.

It was supposed to rain so I didn’t bother to organise any washing. It’s been sunny on and off, although chilly, all day and no rain.

Pretty sure DoctorAthos will be able to sort your back out Apricot.

Covers? Reminds me of when I worked in a supermarket in the 80s - back when there were still price stickers on everything - and they played recentish music but all by NotTheRealArtists. It was dire.

I tried to be good this afternoon. I thought I could open the biscuit spread? No, use your willpower. I could have crisps? No, willpower. So I had a tangerine whilst I was watching a film. And then I had the crisps and after a bit I opened the biscuit spread and now, to be quite honest, I feel a bit sick.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2020 21:15

Oh god - the hell of sound-a-likes. Dire, but actually dirt cheap to license when compared to the real thing - hence their popularity for commercial use.

We're binge-watching Torchwood still...

FancyFancy · 27/04/2020 21:17

It won't last letsu Grin
I think we got your rain - none forecast, but it arrived after I'd hung the washing out.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/04/2020 21:53

It's snowing here, WTF Hmm

Watched the second ep of Sandition, don't remember much about it, quite boring except when Charlotte saw a naked man and ran for her life Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2020 22:07

Shock Wicked

Ah, but wenches are all about the discipline... well, not just discipline, because we are flexible like that.

I'm chugging chocolate, because I'm going out on my bike a lot so I obviously deserve it, and am absolutely working it all off. It's probably medicinal as well, so Apricot should have some Athos to make her back better.

Don't think I did anything very productive today...

LetUsPrey · 27/04/2020 22:51

Snow WTAF Wicked?!

Agree we are excellent at discipline.

Chocolate is definitely medicinal Helen.

We’ve watched the latest episode of Killing Eve. Was excellent.

I should head to the hayloft.

LetUsPrey · 28/04/2020 08:34

Morning wenches.

Very dull here, cloudy and I suspect the rain will arrive today.

DS2 already being a bit of a ratbag but I’m hoping that will pass soon.

He’s doing some history today. Perhaps I should get Dan Snow to assist with that?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2020 08:53

Morning. It is raining here - gently but steadily. Today I must work out how much wood I need for the new chicken coop, which will, as per wench requirements, be extra-sturdy. Grin and also do some work, And file paperwork that still hasn't been filed.

Can DS2 watch Horrible Histories for school LetUs? DS has food tech and science homework pending. Plus Geography, maths, french history and science. I ought to get upstairs and be ready to supervise/work as well. pfft. I def. think that Dan Snow can handle you history for you LetUs

Morning
Same here helen. Delighted for the garden, but would be better still if they would open the bloody tips or start garden waste collections again as everything will start growing faster after this!

Right concentrate..........

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2020 13:14

Have filed paperwork - go me. Need to make lunch and then calculate how much wood I need

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/04/2020 13:32

Helen Grin

FancyFancy · 28/04/2020 14:39

Fuck it's cold - am going to have to turn the heating on.
At least it's not snowing I suppose......

LetUsPrey · 28/04/2020 14:56

Science done, history done, PE done. Woohoooo! Not plain sailing but it’s done so who cares? And as Dan wasn’t needed, he can get all historical with me.

DH is home today and is being Very Busy both in the garden and in the house. This would be fine if only he didn’t keep trying to involve me.

Don’t forget Helen, you’ll need to check the lengths carefully, as well as width.

Was just also contemplating putting the heating on here too Fancy.

ApricotCrush · 28/04/2020 17:15

Afternoon. Raining all day, so no painting done, but DH is cutting the lawn as it's bins tomorrow. No garden waste collection in your area Fancy? Angry

I took the car for a whizz round the road a couple of times this afternoon. Felt strange. Confused

Grin at length and width of wood.

Heating going on here.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/04/2020 18:47

The snow is gone now but it's a bit chilly outside.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2020 18:53

Evening. Just finishing up working, and have ahot water bottle cat on my lap, so I'm fine for heat just now.

LetUs - sometimes I'm convinced that we're married to the same person. DH has just been doing something that I asked him to do last week, which involves him having to rootle about on the desk while I'm trying to work, generally getting in the way, and announcing that the desk needs to be tidied up. FFS.

No wood research was done today. More FFAS. I will ask Athos to help. That will get nothing/me/it done.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 28/04/2020 21:13

Evening
Am just finishing up work after pausing for dinner. Wasn't as focussed today - knew it wouldn't last!

No garden waste collection or food waste collection here apricot. It's bloody annoying as the food waste is having to go in with general waste. They're collecting all the recycling - seems odd as all of that stuff can be stored without rotting, until the stuff they're not collecting.

Still, I have seen some proper pothole repairs over the last few weeks, so the Council are doing something......

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2020 22:21

Shock pothole repairs Fancy? Shock MrHelen will be impressed. He's like a broken record in your neck of the woods, complaining about the state of the roads.

We've never had food collection here from the council. Sad

I'm not getting very far with the wood measuring.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 28/04/2020 23:20

You best wrap up warm though Wicked. Under a cloak perhaps?

Lots of rain here.

Full announcements of everything DH has done today. I know he does loads and I’m jolly glad that he does, but I don’t need to know what jobs he’s planning, why he’s going to do them, and then a full rundown afterwards.

I’m fairly sure all our bins are still being collected on their usual rota.

Perhaps if you ditch the tape measure Helen and take a more hands on approach?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2020 08:24

Good point LetUs - if it's chilly we need thick coats... and maybe a hot bath?

I'll try the 'hands on' approach to measuring wood and see if that speeds things up. Though I am getting there very slowly. Confused

Have got BoringSpareRoomJob today. Spreadsheets ahoy. Or boredom. Or, probably, both.
urgh...
