Afternoon. Sunny all day, washing done and put away.

We only managed one episode of Sanditon.

Good luck with the prescription LetUs. Glad MrLetUs is feeling better.

Fancy I'm spending a huge amount on food. I normally alternate between Sainsbury's and Lidl, but it's all Sainsbury's now and I can't take advantage of the yellow stickers and offers. On the other hand, we're saving loads on meals out, petrol, Sky Sports and golf.

LetUsPrey · 21/04/2020 17:55

Evening wenches.

Collecting prescription (hopefully) later when it’s quieter (also hopefully). Pharmacy is in the supermarket so if I end up coming out with a bottle of Pimms and a jar of biscuit spread as well, then so be it.

Back to normal with DS2 here in that we’ve had tears and shouting re schoolwork. Sigh. Fuck knows what’s going to happen when I go back next week. Gave DH detailed written instructions re how to print DS2’s schoolwork (it’s easier to organise if it’s printed). No logging on to anything needed, nothing complicated. Wrote down which work was DS2’s. Just before 5 DS1 phones asking what needs printing. Geography? No, I’ve got that and I specifically wrote down that I didn’t need it. Oh, dad’s printed that. Then starts saying he’ll log on to remote access. No, you don’t need to. How do I get it? A) you went to the same sodding school and B) I’ve written instructions. Oh, I’ve not read those. Aaarrrggghhhhhh

To top it off, when they got home DS1 asks if I’m okay. Say I’m fine. Well, you’re clearly not. What makes you say that? Well, you look all grey and stuff. Thanks DS1. Thanks very much.

Went to collect prescription. It only came today so it’s not ready. They have the tablets though - she showed me the box - but it won’t be ready until tomorrow. Surgery told me it went yesterday but obviously I don’t know the system so no point in discussing it, will just have to go back tomorrow.

They didn’t have a few things I was looking for, either not there or not my usual brand, and then, to top it all off, NO BISCUIT SPREAD. Big space on the shelf. Wenches, I had a little cry in the middle of Asda. Couldn’t even face going down the booze aisle so I just paid for what I did manage to get and came home.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/04/2020 22:03

for LetUs - Aramis says that he doesn't mind if you don't have the biscuit spread, he says you're very good at improvising... Pfft at the pharmacists as well. and FFS at FamilyLetUs for being so bloody useless in the face of clear instructions.

I had a stress-free click and collect at the Big Supermarket. Except I couldn't find the milk, so I went in and bought some just in case (it was underneath the other chilled food). Unfortunately, I had a flakey fit and didn't look for a new toaster - because ours died today Sad

Bit of a meh day all round it seems?
Am officially bored of wfh & it's only Tuesday First world problems & all that.

Looking for faint silver linings - have just rescued a very plump vole. It was under an upturned washing up bowl that was drying on the utility floor. Not sure how the hell it got under there Confused

LetUsPrey · 21/04/2020 22:37

I can be super inventive and improvise the heck of the situation with Aramis.

Hurrah for stress free shopping! Sad at deceased toaster.

I kept thinking we were on Wednesday for large parts to today. Awwww at very plump vole rescue!

Is anywench else finding it interesting to see the insides of people’s houses when they’re on the tv, on the news or sports stuff, etc?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/04/2020 23:06

There was a twitter thread about that LetUs - discussing the bookshelves behind people Grin

Well done on the wildlife rescue Fancy - am also baffled at how the vole got under the bowl, and impressed that you caught it before it scuttled out and under the log pile washing machine. I may be projecting here... Grin

I need the hayloft and a good night's sleep.

It is a fantastic way to have a nose around people's homes letus Grin

I had visions of it getting behind the washing machine too helen - had a bird behind there once. What a bloody nightmare, I was determined that shouldn't be repeated!

FancyFancy · 22/04/2020 09:51

Morning
I have an online course via Zoom this afternoon. Could be fun Hmm Am keeping fingers crossed that it'll be a particular speaker. Not for the faf sadly, but he is about the only one who can make these particular update courses possible to stay awake in bearable.

LetUsPrey · 22/04/2020 09:55

Morning wenches.

Is that a new book - The Vole Under The Bowl? The Skink Under The Sink? Erm... The Fossa Behind The Washer?

Sunny but breezy again.

DS2 is doing schoolwork which is very impressive —it won’t last—

This morning I attempted to cut a toilet roll tube into a spiral/snake for DS2’s art. We need another tube as I didn’t quite get it right.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/04/2020 10:31

Morning. DS is having a tired and grumpy day, which isn't very helpful.

Think we have the same weather as you LetUs. LOL at 'The Vole under the Bowl.' I think I'll stick with 'The FAF in my Bed' which doesn't rhyme, but who cares about that.

How about "The FAF in my Foof" or, in the education range - "Let's All Learn About Peaches" Grin

I should be working.... Sad

FancyFancy · 22/04/2020 13:11

No helen you should be chasing a publishing deal for your book ideas Grin

Early lunch ahead of the course........

LetUsPrey · 22/04/2020 14:05

“Ways With Rope”
“HBFs - The Road To Happiness”
“Whips and Chains and Perpetual Parlour Games” (that’s a Paella lyric)

Do you need Aramis to keep poking you Fancy, just to keep you awake?

Got my prescription. Hurrah! Didn’t look for biscuit spread. Couldn’t bear the disappointment —and it’ll only make me even fatter—

LetUsPrey · 22/04/2020 16:42

“Wench Guide to Weapon Care - Pistols, Swords, Lightsabers”

Have spent a good couple of hours in the garden. Think we’ll watch the second episode of Killing Eve tonight.

ApricotCrush · 22/04/2020 17:40

Afternoon. Not much done here, sitting in the sun doing sudokus. DH still singing on the roof, driving me mad. I've got Born to be Wild stuck in my head now. Confused

LetUs. Hope you got the prescription. I don't normally cry because DH can't deal with it and gets cross, but I did well up the other day when son-in-law came round to fetch something and he had DGS in the car and DH didn't tell me because I was dealing with the food delivery. I was so upset that I didn't see him. Sad

Yes, fascinating looking into people's homes.

Aww at Vole under the Bowl and Grin at The FAF in my Foof.

Hope Fancy managed to stay awake.

ApricotCrush · 22/04/2020 17:41

Oh, three posts have suddenly appeared, glad you got it LetUs.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/04/2020 18:06

I don't think we need the sub-title LetUs - just “Wench Guide to Weapon Care" should be enough Grin Also, Yay for drugs! (Not a book title.)

Oh Apricot Sad that's shit. What on earth MrA (not) thinking?!

How about "Fantastic FAF and Where to Find Them" That would be an instant bestseller. Though if we had that info then we'd probably want to keep it under the covers - just like the FAF.

Oh happy days, I do like talking complete nonsense in here... much more fun than real life, but I think a bike ride beckons.

Evening wenches.

Is the weather keeping nice for you too Wicked?

at MrApricot. for you Apricot. It must be so difficult when you’re missing each other so much.

Best keep that one to a limited print run Helen Grin

Have just remembered that Sewing Bee starts tonight.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 22/04/2020 19:17

Grin at MrApes singin on the roof and at The FAF in my foof.

Yay for prescription Letus.

Glorious weather here but I'm just blobbing and tired.

LetUsPrey · 22/04/2020 21:13

Are you sleeping any better Wicked?

Been watching The Repair Shop and now I’m on Sewing Bee. Both full of very crafty people with skills I can’t even dream of having.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/04/2020 21:59

Oh - we saw a bit of Repair Shop, and forgot about sewing bee. And we still haven't replaced the toaster - FFS...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 22/04/2020 22:11

I’d quite like a new toaster but there’s nothing wrong with the current one, other than it being a bit shit.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/04/2020 22:18
