ds1 named his guineas octomus prime and megatron!!! he has been a transformers fan for a few years now, so now the film has come out, he is very much into it again. luckily over the years he has collected most of the toys so its not going to be expensive, like dr who is, a figure/toy is about £7 so it takes a while to save up and collect them.

anyway, he has one little white and gingerish one and one tri coulored one and they are so sweet.

i worked friday night,it wasnt too busy so it was ok. saturday i persuaded dp to put up some shelves for me so he managed 4 of them and has 3 left to put up in the alcoves, then the idea is i can put the rest of my books up and ds2 can leave them alone and not pull them all off the cube unit. he has discovered the playstation games now and oulls them out. its driving me mad!!!!!

worleyhurley · 17/08/2007 21:47

something terrible happened today,
i realised my 8 year old ds1 isn't my baby boy anymore.

he accidently tripped over dps foot as we walking through a car park ( he tried to push past and run ahead but got caught up!) and he fell on the floor quite hard, and shouted " daddy you F""""R, i hate you, you tripped me over on purpose " i just stood, mouth open and didnt know wether to laugh or cry. i cant believe he came out with such language!! once we picked him up and checked his elbows and shoulder as they were quite badly cut and grazed, (remember falling over and getting little bits of pebbles in the palm of your hands?) he got a telling off for shouting and swearing and has been sent to bed at 7 tonight even though it's the holidays. so he can have a good think about the language he came out with.

after we dropped him round his friends to play, and i got over the shock i cried with laughter and had tears running down my face. dp couldnt believe it either. our baby boy came out with such a word!! !! i guess i didnt realse how much he was growing up and what he picks up at school.

JennsterBubsLayer · 17/08/2007 23:03

I must stop swearing in front of dd. Mind you she would sat fu.

I nearly called my 2nd year junior (year 4) teacher a wanker because my dad used to say it

worleyhurley · 17/08/2007 23:36

ds1 will be in year 4 when he goes back in sept. i hope he doesnt come out with words like that then as i used to work with his new teacher. she used to be a vet. before she had enough and retrained as a primary teacher. it will be very strange going to parent/teacher eves then!!

StormInADcup · 19/08/2007 19:44

hello all. Ive been clenching my teeth in stress all day and now I have toothache. dammit!

Macdog · 19/08/2007 19:57

I dread dd picking up words like that. I'm trying to come up with alternatives that won't be so bad.

We had a lovely weekend. dd had her 1st ever overnight stay with the PIL. We all went out for dinner, then dh and I put her to bed and scarpered !!!!!!!!!!

Dinner was lovely. They made dd up a wee plate with a chargrilled chicken breast, asparagus, cauliflower, green beans and a slice of crusty bread. She ate the lot and then set about her daddy's cheeseboard.

Anyhoo, dh and I proceeded to get gassed on vino ate junk food and slept in till 10.30.
Perfection !!

Catch you all soon

i've put some new pictures up this eve, got to love broadband
made a chocolate cheescake for afters this eve, cleaned the guineas out this afternoon and went to tescos this morning!! busy day today

JennsterBubsLayer · 19/08/2007 22:49

No it was the less rude of the two words in twunt not wanker... And my dad doesn't swear now either. He isn't that bad honestly, he just used to work on a ship and was away for months at a time and I think his language deteriorated while he was away, and it took a while for him to acclimatize.

Went up the 3rd highest spire in UK today. It's a gorgeous church and went in for the first time today....and we used to live 200m from it

JennsterBubsLayer · 19/08/2007 22:52
