Hello

Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

OP posts:
worley · 10/01/2008 20:17

im not to hot on mri, not my best modality, we have a tray thing that the women have to lay face down in and try to lower their norks in. it seems like a torture tray or something.

im trying to put ds2 in his room tonight. not sure how its going to go... he only lasted half an hour last time, i have done it tonight so he can fall asleep while ds1 is at cubs and has peace for a while.

hope youre all ok

xx

Jennster · 10/01/2008 23:46

Oh God we have to get ds out of our room. That means sending dd to the attic...but she is still in a cot and not liking the duvet we bought her for Chrismas. She will sit under it having a story told to her, but when it's time to go to bed then she has to get in her bag.

Macdog · 11/01/2008 09:20

How very Victorian, Jenn...sending dd to the attic !!!

dd can now get out of her sleeping bag even when it's back to front...any suggestions???

OP posts:
Jennster · 11/01/2008 11:08

Duvet? Victorian house Macdog.

Macdog · 11/01/2008 13:03

Trouble is, the sleeping bag is the only thing actually keeping her in her cot. Wee bugger can almost get over the side now.
Quite scary to think of her being in an ordinary bed - she still seems a bit young

JoanWilder · 11/01/2008 13:52

hello MAS

jeez dd discoverd how to open doors today.
Makes keeping her anywhere while I shower very tough - how do you do it?

Shes still not walking but cruises with barely one hand so I cant see it being long, and she is very very tall, hence door knobs.

oh by gum I am so exhausted all the time, dreading work tonight I wont be able to stay awake!

Macdog · 11/01/2008 19:45

Toys/books on bathroom floor??

Handcuff her to railing???

OP posts:
Macdog · 11/01/2008 19:53

This approach has it's merits, as does this low-tech approach!!
Is
this too extreme???

Hope I made you smile, x

The duck tape to wall is Worleys facebook and the last one was what my mother did with a plastic laundry basket

I am REALLY REALLY mad. here is me getting tired and emotional I am seriously thinking of packing it all in and this just highlights why.

worley · 12/01/2008 10:11

ds2 lasts till 12.20 as the latest so far he has slept on his won. i cant leave him to cry as he wakes ds1 up, the sooner we have everything paid off and can afford the loft sorting out the better.

ds2 is a nightmare while im in the bath, i have to weight the toilet seat down (i am waitning for dp to put a big lock thing on it i got from mothercare)as he likes to fish about in it or throw the toilet rolls down it. and i cant have any bottles on the side of the bath as he throws them init while im in the bath. or he stands there and cries until he gets in with me and then loves to stand and splash. luckily he doesnt stand and wee like ds1 did!!!

my cousins ds is 19.5 months and he doesnt even crawl yet, so i told her to think herself lucky!! he just sits there while she passes everything to him.

Jennster · 12/01/2008 14:05

But you already have three bedrooms Worley. That's the down side of this house. The bedrooms are massive, but the third is in the attic. If we went up there, then I would have to get up and go downstairs and really wake myself up to get to him, and if DD went upstairs, then when we take the sides off her cot she cause mayhem.....

worley · 12/01/2008 21:49

no we only have 2 bedrooms, what used to be the third was turned into the bathroom when they no longer had the outside toilet. but we have a big loft waiting to be converted.

ds1 is sleeping at my parents tonight so he can be the centre of attention for little while. ds2 has only just gone to sleep so hopefully it means he will maybe have a lay in............... pigs might fly....

Jennster · 12/01/2008 22:41

Oh sorry, thought you said you moved ds2 in with ds1 so you had a spare room back. I would LOVE dd and ds to share but it aint going to happen any time soon.

worley · 12/01/2008 23:25

god im bored.... on a staurday night.... so mim sitting in bed on the laptop, by myself as dp is stuck at work (long story , one of the kids got arrested at his work for abh)

there nowt but crap on tv, and i just remembered im on call tonight and if i get called in i will have to take ds2 with me if dp doesnt get home anytime soon and i get called in!!! shit, i hope i havent just jined my night... i thought it before i could stop myself as i remembered i left the phones downstairs, now i have to get up and go downstairs..

Jennster · 13/01/2008 08:35

Hope your night wasn't too bad. We watched a Sky+ recording of the film If. It was really good. I'm up now keeping ds entertained whild dh has a lie in. Bless him he's done it all week for me.

JoanWilder · 14/01/2008 13:50

hello guys

Jenn, mn does bring out peoples' argumentative sides! I think pharmacy is a fine career - better than mine...

dh found 3 jobs to apply for. fingers crossed.

JoanWilder · 14/01/2008 13:51

dd must be teething she will not let me clean them without pinning her down, she just did the foulest nappy imaginable and she has nappy rash. gawd how much more??

worley · 14/01/2008 14:35

im off to see mg nurse practioner again tomorrow as i think im slipping back to my old depressive way again. im having (i think i may be exagerating!!) like panic attacks or something.. i feel sick having to go into work and my heart is racing as i get closer to work, and i had to go work up on the intesive care unit which completley threw me, its where dps mum died and i just cant avoid it.
i kinda feel like i cant vere get over it as i will always have to go in to that room and remember what i saw. plus we have so much stress with money and dp's brother at the moment, i just want to stay home and cry or something.
i was starting to feel sad before mil died when ds2 didnt want to bf anymore and im sure the pill affects me and is making me worse?
so i'll go see her tomorrow and chat about things....

Jennster · 14/01/2008 15:44

Pill made me a horrible person Worley. Really sorry things not looking too bright right now. Makes my feeling a bit blue a rosier shade. I do know about the palpitations at going to work though, and that thread had me practically boiling with rage.

Macdog · 14/01/2008 20:08

Hope things improve after a chat with someone W.

It's pouring with rain but heyl Dd 2 on thursday, I'm looking at making a carrot cake for nursery on Friday, but just wondering how big to make it. Think I might make the recipe, but not sandwich them together, and just ice them as single layers

worley · 15/01/2008 20:54

well have changed the pill. i have to finish them one im on and go straight on tothe other one. it was all i could do not to burst into tears when i got in there, it was just that she had a 2nd year junior dr in with her that made me keep control, he was from my work so i wish i hadnt previously agreed to have a junior in with her, i didnt think i would recognise him!! so 2 more weeks of feeling crap then will see if the new pill makes a difference. i asked about having my tubes tied but they aren'tto keen to do it anymore apparently and its easier for the men to have it done. but i think if dp and i ever split at least then he could have kids again, i now its to dangerous for me to have anymore and find it hard enough with 2 let alone 3!!!

JoanWilder · 15/01/2008 20:57

hey y'all

I have a massive bump all of a sudden...at work they cant believe it! It aches, too.
And my hips ache already after Ive been working...hg fading away thank the lord, had beef burgers in buns for tea and a chocolate mousse!! Have a healthy fruit salad for later though...

JoanWilder · 15/01/2008 20:59

ahh worley loads of love. Hope you feel better soon, fake-hormones are incredibly powerful. X
I am not suited to the pill (tried 4 types) have severe migraines on them. We just use condoms, unromantic, unspontaneous and messy and irritating but hey. better than a third baby...................

Hope you other two are well X

JoanWilder · 15/01/2008 21:01

I need advice on nursery/pre-school?/what to register dd for as shes nearly 19mths and even though we are (hopefully) leaving the area it may take ages to escape Manchester, so had better enroll her in something as a stand-by...
