OP posts:
Jennster · 03/01/2008 22:25

We've had the odd flake now and then, but nothing really. BBC had us down for snow today, but then chandged their minds

Just been to the gym for a work out. God I'm rubbish now. I used to spend hours there.

Macdog · 04/01/2008 13:12

Lovely light dusting of snow everywhere this morning
Wrapped dd up in her snowsuit and walking boots and walked dog to park.

dd off to PIL this weekend. dh and I hoping to get to pictures to see 'Enchanted' (my choice, not his!). Not been to see film since Star Wars III so it's quite a treat!!

Jennster · 04/01/2008 14:17

Macdog · 04/01/2008 16:42

Been cooking all afternoon for antenatal group (dd's) joint birthday party. There is a vegan and I'm sure they're used to it, but thought it would be nice to cook something they could at least eat. Other dish veggie so halal can eat it.

worleywinterwonderland · 05/01/2008 00:20

hey guys, glad you ok jw!!

do any of you have an ipod with audiobooks on it?
i cant figure out how to keep ds1's audiostories in the audiobook folder. they keep randomly playing when we are listening to the songs, and as much as i love david tennant when youre trying to listen to the foos its a bit annoying,, any ideas???

i was watching celeb big brother today, as i worked last night so didnt watch it, and not knowing who they all were at the time turned to dp and said,
theres a boy there identical to the boy from the family we got our old rescue dog from, then this eve we sat watching it where they all go into the house and it turns out it was him. so we can blame him and his 5 siblings for winding her up, not a good idea for a springerX as macdog will know!!

i hope he doesnt make lowestoft people look stupid!!!

Macdog · 05/01/2008 05:47

Sad news folks, we had to have Macdogger put to sleep last night.
He had been getting a bit random with occasional growling at dh and I and we decided we couldn't take the risk with dd.

Gonna miss the stinky old naughty dog

im sorry to hear that mcdog, we had the same with ours, the last straw was when she was protecting the xmas tree from us due to the chocolates on it and when a cat got to close she attacked her and bit it through her head, so we had to think of ds1. it hurt like hell to have to do it and still does when i see another dog like her but i couldnt have lived with myself if it had of been ds1 that happened to get to close to the tree.

thinking of you today honey.

worleywinterwonderland · 05/01/2008 09:43

ds2 has just sat through 2 episodes of big cook little cook without moving, he seems to love it. its a record for him keeping still this long

think im going to change my name back again...

worley · 05/01/2008 10:00

Awww so sorry to hear that macdog.

JoanWilder · 05/01/2008 20:37

oh MD, sorry to hear that, but you do have to be sensible with risks, those poor babies in the news didnt have such caring parents XXXXXXXXXXXX

still puking.but also job hunting for dh in the midlands and house hunting to see what there is...we are going to move back! hooray! the north is so depressing with no family, and with 2 babes I dont know how well I will cope up here...big decisions ahead...

Jennster · 05/01/2008 21:31

Oh my JW! How many weeks are you now? I suppose you haven't been able to keep it a secret at work. Can we meet up before you go? It's great though being able to job hunt and house hunt miles away from where you actually want to be. Aint the internet great?

Jennster · 05/01/2008 21:37

But ey up, it aint that grim oop north chuck

worley · 05/01/2008 22:06

mmmmmmm i just found some dry roasted peanuts in the back of the cuboard that i forgot i had. yum yum

my parents have just put an offer on this house www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-9774558.rsp?pa_n=3&tr_t=buy although 4 other people have also offered for it so i think it will go to the highest bidder. its a really popular location and all the houses are really big and old. their house goes up for sale on monday. i thought i might be a bid sad they're wanting to move but i havnt lived there for 12 years now so doesnt really feel like home anymore. plus my brother had my room as soon as i was gone, so it doesnt even look as if i have been there anyway.

Jennster · 05/01/2008 22:45

LUUURVE the garden in that house Worley.

We've also thought about moving back 'home' but dh is self employed and so not practical. The whole thing about the way we live is not to work for money (I know we are VERY lucky) and the commute of at least an hour would make all the difference to the detriment...but never say never.

Jennster · 05/01/2008 22:48

And unless that photo is very misleading, you could do loads with that kitchen.
