the garden is what attracted me mum, theybhave a big garden anyway, but i think she wants a new challange again.

i really need to go to bed but cany get up, i am watching notting hill and although have seen many times before still watch it again

my knee is really swollen today again, (long story i kind of fell over about last sept and its been a problem ever scince) its swells up then goes down and im waiting to be seen by the trauma consultant at work, but i cant even get up the stairs properly as i cant bend it.

Jennster · 05/01/2008 23:00

Are you taking anything for it? Sounds awful. Have a problem with my back myself, and plays havoc with exercising. Especially when pushing both of them in the pram.

Jennster · 05/01/2008 23:01

Watching Notting Hill too.

Jennster · 05/01/2008 23:19

Night night

Thanks for all the support guys. I know we made the right decision, at the right time, for the right reasons. Much rather he went now, than being forced to do it after an incident.

dh and I spent the day in Ayr yesterday. Went to see 'Enchanted' (laughed loads, highly recommend it) and then pootled round shops. Got new jeans and 3 series of 'Drop the Dead Donkey (I loved that show!). Finished off with dinner at a 'Frankie and Benny's', where we ate too much!!

Power cut at 4am, called power company. Engineer arrived at 8.30am, power back on by 9ish. Funnily enough it was only the four flats on my block that were affected!!

That house looks fabby, W. Hope they get it!
Hope things work out for you too JW.
Hope your back gets better soon Jennster!

Off now to get dinner on the go. Catch up soon, x

Thanks Macdog. Nothing a hot wheatbag, less hipcarrying of dd and no supermarket trolley pushing won't solve.

worley · 07/01/2008 21:23

just worked out that i have just over £220 worth of tesco vouchers to spend, was looking at butlins but noticed "siblu", have you heard of them they are suppossed to be the haven of france, spain and italy. so maybe france??

but then ds1 might enjoy butlins more. woohoo a free holiday!! ni just told dp not to diss my tesco addiction anymore!

Jennster · 07/01/2008 22:16

OOh need to go and count mine. Think I have over a hundred. Only heard of Siblu through the vouchers, but not heard any feedback. Have you done a thread search?

Got a hospital appointment tomorrow, where I have to get up at 7 to make sure I get there in the rush hour traffic and find a blummin car parking space for a 9.30 appointment.

Jennster · 07/01/2008 22:25

This one has very positive comments about Siblu

Jennster · 07/01/2008 22:34

and this one talks about FrenchLife which you can also get on Tesco vouchers

Jennster · 08/01/2008 12:35

Just seen a surgeon today about a breast lump which he assures me is probably normal, so just need to wait for a non urgent xray appointment. Found it last Wed, at Dr's Fri, appointment today isn't bad! I'm sure it's nothing, but best to be safe than sorry with my family history.

Macdog · 08/01/2008 19:43

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Jennster. Sending big positive thoughts your way

OP posts:
Jennster · 08/01/2008 20:21

Well imagine how many breasts he feels every day [snigger] he should know if it's ok.

Jennster · 08/01/2008 20:24

Anybody else have non painful lumps that didn't get bigger or smaller with feeding?

Macdog · 09/01/2008 10:51

Don't remember any, Jenn. Hope it works out for you.

Jings, crivvens, help ma boab we had a spell of weather overnight! EEK!!
My neighbours' hut has made a bid for freedom, as did most of the wheelie bins left out for collection!!
dd kept waking up through the night as something else crashed past the house. Luckily we have nothing to do today, so we had a lovely long lie
Still a bit mad out there, gales and hail, but never seems as bad in daylight as it does in the dead of night.
Hope you are all well

hello - I have no idea what your thread is about but the title keeps going through my head like a mantra for some reason..Worley,Jenn,Puss...

Jennster · 09/01/2008 14:46

Those are or were are names MAS Originally we were the bitten nipples support thread, but now we just chat to/moan at/ grumble with each other..

We had thunder and lightening and high winds last night. Did my first session of the breastfeeding peer supporters course today.

MaryAnnSingleton · 09/01/2008 17:21

thank you !

Macdog · 09/01/2008 19:27

Hi MAS

Weather improving slightly.

Spent the afternoon cutting pictures out of magazines/catalogues and dd stuck them onto paper. Kept her happy for a while anyway. When rain stopped we went out for a splash in the puddles

OP posts:
worley · 09/01/2008 19:52

hello Maryannsingleton
i pmsl at the mantra bit!! dp wondered what on earth was wrong.
we do seem to get random people turning up, yous think it was more as the thread shows up on the last 15 mins page and all and sundry can see it...

are you having a mammogram jenn? or are they doing a chest xray?

worley · 09/01/2008 19:55

i still have nearly a whole bottle of baileys left mmm drinking some tonight now.

this is my parents they put it on the market mon and 3 people already have made appts to go look round.
my mum has decided to scrub the already spotless house as it is.

Jennster · 09/01/2008 20:12

Like the colour in the kitchen Worley.

Actually I've no idea what I'm meant to be having. I'm assuming it's ultrasound. Consultant said I want to send you to XRay. I could do it here and now (out patients dept), but it's best if they do it at Xray, so at first assumed XRay, but is ultrasound at XRAY??? NO idea. Thought a mammogram would be less suitable for me coz I isn't yet 35. Anyway it's non urgent so that has put my mind at rest. Also I can see milk squirting everywhere for a mammogram

worley · 09/01/2008 20:18

i did wonder about the milk squirting out!!! they do ultrasound on the boobs in mammography, i dont know if having milk in will alter the density of the breast, i will ask the mammographers tomorrow, i just thought that a chest xray seemed a bit excessive for a breast lump.

you can have mammograms early on, and after the age that the goverment stop routinly screening you, i cant remember the exact age (maybe 70?) if you refer yourself they will screen you which a lot of the old ladies dont know so we tell them at their last appt. we even have to do mammograms on men which is weird seeing them in the pink gowns !!

Jennster · 09/01/2008 21:28

I've gone down the family history root and will be going to be called annually for mammograms/MRI scans from 35 in Manchester. I believe MRIs though are too(?) sensitive , pick up more lumps including benign earlier, make people more worried, and don't actually increase the long term prognosis?...But I've probably got that wrong.
