Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

hi all, thankyou for your messages. dp has gone into shock i think, he went to brum straight after it happened and didnt get home till late last night, we did the death cert and reg thing this afternoon, so we cant start arranging stuff till next week, so i think the funeral will have to be the week after. his uncle arrived yesterday morning and didnt know till he got here (all the way from sheffield) sp i had to tell him as dp was still in brum, his uncle is staying till dp's brother gets here tomorrow, but dp keeps just going and i have to talk to his uncle who i met once 10 years ago. its a very strange situation to be in.

thank god i had already done some xmas shopping for the boys!!!

That's a point, they did halloween ones from 1st October.

Hope things go OK for you and your dp worley. We finished our shopping today, just waiting (still) for things to arrive and wrap now.

i had already ordered dp a new ipod nano as his old ipod keeps breaking down now, hes had it nrarly 3 years and uses it A LOT!!! and they have these pillow gadgets from www.iwantoneofthose.com that you can plug your pod into and then you dont have earphones trailing near your neck and you can listen to it with your head on the pillow, i thought he could play his paul mckenna how to stop smoking cd as he fell asleep then!!

DH is getting the compulsory pajamas, some White Musk (Male) shower gel (He used to like the ladies version) Best of the skatalites cd and the thick of it DVD

JW, how are things with you health wise??

Been a bit busy with Christmas parties (both kids and grown-up ). Got a bit tipsily legless at the M&T Ladies night , but never mind !!

things are going sort of ok, i took today off so we could start sorting out the funeral, then brother-in-laws wife had already rung the funeral homes and between them both they had decided to have the crem done on saturday! so as outr local crem doesnt work on a sat or sun we have to use the one over 40 miles away, all because drother in laws wife has to fly home on sun!!! which now means that a lot of mils friends and family cant make it, all this so SHE can get back to work dp is yet to arrive back after having to pick a friend up from the station and dropping them off, but we will have to have a talk about this.

am i in the wrong, or should it be about mil and not sil, (who mil has only met for 4 months - 6 years ago when they stayed here)

we cant do the funeral thurs or fri as bil has to work!! and next week he has to work so as they can only do the weekend they have done this. AND seeings as he hasnt even spoke to his mum in over a year this all feels just wrong to me...

sorry, have to tell someone and no one else to talk to..

ALSO it turns out they have been back to the UK scince they went back to the usa 6 years ago and not even bothered to make it back up here to even call in on his mum. and he never returned her calls. and as he knew he had to work here this week and next, it seems like him actually turning is only because he was here to work and not to come to help dp sort out all her things and the funeral.

god im mad at the moment!!!i would be so heartbroken is one of my ds's moved away, then didnt ring for years and then find out he could have come seen me and not bothered!!i cant believe how selfish he has been.

Flipping heck Worley. That's a lot to deal with. And you have to be diplomatic and keep your mouth shut as you too are an in-law. I hope you get everything sorted soon.

been in hospital fripm - mon pm with hyperemesis...had 8litres of fluid through an IV. my keitones were +4,,was just about to ruin my kidneys. No let up with the puking, but at least Ive found a better drug via the hospital - Maxillon. They had me on Adanceatron (for chemo sufferers which was fab ) but its not available in tablets.
There is no end in sight and coping with dd is very very hard...

Wish I had a big magic wand to make everything all better for you both WWW and JW.

Making all my grumbles seem very teeny in comparison.

well i got them to change the funeral to fri 21st, sis in law is upset as she needed to be back at work mon and now she has to stay another week, oh well. she can go back if she wants too...and stay there now dp is saying hes not going as he doesnt need to go to a funeral for his own closure.. so im stuck in the middle again, i persuade them to change it then dp isnt going.. im going to go lock my self away some where till xmas eve i think.

i made an appt to get my hair cut next week!! i havnt had it cut scicne june and it is totally getting on my nerves. i want it back in a bob again, maybe even cut my fringe back in again... we'll see. its a new haridresser so i will wait till im there and see what its like. my cousin has always cut my hair but shes now gone on mat leave so i have to find some one else for 9 months again, its so unreasonable of her to go and have another baby
