Hello

Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

OP posts:

Is it motilium (domperidone) you've tried? That's an anti histamine. If it gets really bad you can get stemetil (prochlorperazine) suppositoties and in buccal form. You put it between your lip and gum and you don't need to worry about swallowing. Go to your Dr though for it. Have you taken a pregnancy test yet JW? Gone to the dr/midwife?

Just about to make a soup for my friend who is having trouble getting breastfeeding established with her other ds running about.

no they gave me cyclizine, an antiemitic, but it made me lots worse as my tummy was really irritated and made me throw up more, plus I was very drowsy on it.

Nhs website says for a lot of vomiting antihistamine promethazine is safe for pregnant mothers

ideally I would wing it, but broke down tonight and cried for over an hour..everything I eat makes me sick, I threw up about 8 times today, I am scared to go out, I cant do the food shop, etc etc, am getting rather depressed, plus all this vomit is surely wrecking my teeth.

had my BFP a few weeks ago, am six and half weeks now, got a phone booking appt for 10/12 with hosp, Ill be consultant led care this time (dammit, got to pay to park everytime)

Jennster · 04/12/2007 20:17

I hated the few occasions I had to go to the hospital. It was a nightmare to park, you had to arrive about half an hour before your appointment time, just to get somewhere to park, and they keep building on the remaining car parks, and the other hospital site is derelict with a massive car park, and then they are starting to rent office space from somewhere else. CRAZY

Jennster · 04/12/2007 20:35

So you're feeling grotty. I really feel for you. Promethazine is phenergan (which I wouldn't sell over the counter as too sedative and can be abused) and a different form of it is Avomine which can be bought for travel sickness.

God that doesn't sound right. I meant to sound sympathetic.

my cousin just had really bad morning sickness for a few months, she had to stay in bed all day, she couldnt move it was soo bad, eventually they found something that worked, but she had to try several antisickness meds. shes just have her 22 week scan and get out of bed now without feeling sick, we are all hping its a girl as she has 3 boys and had no sickness with them. but thisone was a bit of a shock, her hubby is waiting to go in for a vasectomy and then this turned up, shes 38 and was about to go back to college to retrain and had a place to do peadiatric nursing.
oh well... maybe in a few years time

my mum was a dental nurse for years, she had enough in the end and is now a diabetic retinal screener. not that has anything to do with anything, just wrote it

Jennster · 05/12/2007 09:10

Flipping heck that must be a shock for her. I've forwarded you those vouchers Worley

You don't mean your booking appointment is over the phone for you JW? How would they take your bp and check your tummy?

JoanWilder · 05/12/2007 11:20

hi all

dp's mum dies last night, the hospital said they had been trying to contact us scince tues night, but we had no missed calls on our mobile and only got one message which was at 3.30 yesterday. so by the time dp and the other family managed to get there they were too late and missed her by about 20 mins. im soo they know i was downstairs at work too and didnt even try to buzz me downstairs!!

we think she didnt really have much will left to live, when they tried to wake her us she pulled out all her tubes and lines and it was only this summer she was telling us that she had been thinking of suicide! so dp feels that she just didnt have the will to try and fight it iyswim

worleywinterwonderland · 06/12/2007 06:20

dp's brother is actually coming over now from america, its a pity he didnt decide a day earlier to come over. im now going to be in the middle of a battle ground i think

Jennster · 06/12/2007 09:00

Oh I'm so sorry Worley to hear your news. Not the best time of year to be organising a funeral. My thoughts are with you.

Nearly finished bottling up my chutney. Pear and Apple. Made double because I thought that's what I'd done last year, but clearly not. I've done 8 jars, and just put another 6 in the oven to sterilize.

Nevermind, there will always be takers!

Jennster · 06/12/2007 22:27

JW inbetween removing the enamel from your teeth - I get the impression you are a bit spiritual - read these threads (4 in total you will have to go back and back and back
but links at the start of each one) Worley you might not want to read it

Jennster · 06/12/2007 22:27

sorry here it is

Jennster · 07/12/2007 21:34

Ha DH just dropped his tray on the kitchen floor while trying to top up his glass of cava, resulting in remainder of the bottle cava being thrown in the air, all down the roller blinds on the patio doors, broke a plate (bored of them them anyway, plain white) floor awash with cava and roast chicken bones.

Nearly got a trendy bob. Getting my hair cut next saturday.

Going to meet my antenatal class tomorrow for a meet up. Some of them will be 2 this week!

Ds well and truely rolling rolling rolling rawhide!

Jennster · 07/12/2007 21:45
