Hello

Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

OP posts:
Jennster · 01/12/2007 23:13

Registration number for what or is that another cryptic question?

Jennster · 01/12/2007 23:22

God Sorry Worley. That's a lot to deal with. Not quite sure what to say, but you just have to be there for your dp.

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2007 21:19

no not another clue!! i meant to add a link to another thread but forgot, last night for some reason they were all asking what each others reg number was, as it is the order in whcih you signed up to mumsnet. i think most of us signed up at a round the same time though?

Jennster · 02/12/2007 21:35

46542 is my reg number

Jennster · 02/12/2007 21:35

46542 is my reg number

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2007 21:36

this is the thread

Jennster · 02/12/2007 22:33

That's weird because I came across JenT the other day and I said Hi because I used to be JennT. She said she has only just registered, and yet her number is 4thousand something and I am 46thousand

JoanWilder · 03/12/2007 11:28

boo to morning sickness.
work is living hell between hundreds of shoppers and running off to puke/eat a ginger biscuit

Jennster · 03/12/2007 11:54

How about eating crumbs of flapjack to sustain you a bit longer than a massive sugar hit of a ginger biscuit. Little and often

Macdog · 03/12/2007 16:12

59712 is the number of the Macdog!

Am very confused cos I'm convinced I typed a post earlier today, but it not here

We were at M&T christmas party today, piccies on FB

WB, how are you?
JW, are you feeling better?
Jenn, you clever lady to work out the numbers. I didn't have a scooby

OP posts:
Macdog · 03/12/2007 16:13

Familiar scenario to anyone else??

OP posts:
worleywinterwonderland · 03/12/2007 21:23

you pics are lovely macdog, dd has so much golden hair!! ds2 has hardly any, hes getting a bit of a mullet at the back but not a lot on top still.

jenn are always good at maths, silly question really as you probably have to work out dose's and mg's all day?

worleywinterwonderland · 03/12/2007 21:26

jenn, sorry to ask this, but when i picked up ds2's milk today the pharmacy have given me sma wysoy, when we normally have the infasoy from cow and gate, im sure the prescription said infasoy, but would they just subsitute wysoy instead if they were short of infasoy? i normally get it from the boots pharmacy but they havnt been able to get any for a week, im a bit reluctant to give it to him as he has never had wysoy and if he doesnt like it then its a large tub wasted.

am i being silly?

Jennster · 03/12/2007 22:00

No if the prescription says Infasoy then that is what they have to give. I would just check with the pharmacy what the prescription said. It might be your surgery has managed to change the prescription without you noticing, or if they have suddenly changed it to be written generically (ie soya formula powder with no brand written) but this is highly unlikely and I'm sure they would have told you.

What might have happened is the pharmacy have contacted the surgery and told them how difficult Infasoy is to get hold of, and suggested Wysoy as an alternative. This is very bad practise as you are out of the loop and know nothing about it. If I had done this I wouldn't have done anything without discussing it with you. There are smaller tins available and would probably have supplied you with one small tin (supported by Dr's prescription for the different brand) and made sure you were aware of what I was doing and why. I would have found out how long it was the brand you required were out of stock too.

Long winded but hope this helps. Bottom line it might be a dispensing error. Not a serious one but they need to know about it. Contact them and just double check, but don't go in all guns blazing as this just gets my their backs up and immediately on the defensive.

Jennster · 03/12/2007 22:08

Yes lovely pictures of your dd Macdog.

How is your dp Worley?

Yes have to do quite a bit of mental arithmetic at work. Working out drug strengths and dosages, but also triangle numbers for counting round loose tablets and the 7 (or 28) times table when trying to work out how many patient packs to supply when a dr writes 168 rather than 628 or how many tablets to snip of a split pack when a Dr orders 120 instead of 112. Also for labelling purposes, is that 328 and a
36 label or or 4*28 and an 8 label. But then your dp will know all about that!

worleywinterwonderland · 03/12/2007 22:18

oh dear you lost me then jenn!!!
my dp is doing ok , he seems anyway, he came back form his new job today and seemed really happy and talked non-stop about it, hes done relief work for them for a while but now is full-time. its a childrnes home for boys who are kind of delinquents, such as their parents cant cope with them anymore or dont want them. they do delightfull things like pee on each others bed for a laugh or set fire to stuff, but they seem to calm down there and settle in and get on with life eventually, they have a school there as well and arent made to go, just "encouraged" and helped to see that if they want to change their life they need to start calming down and learning abit..

Jennster · 03/12/2007 22:19

Oh! whose dp is pharmacy technician then? Thought it was yours. No he won't know about that sort of thing then.

worleywinterwonderland · 03/12/2007 22:22

im really missing bf, like i keep getting really strong pangs of regret and really wish i hadnt stopped, (even though he was biting me everytime and laughing!!) you forget about that and miss the cuddles. even though i still get cuddles, just not those cuddles anymore.

are you still feeding jw?

ds2 suddenly seems as if he just wasnt a baby for long, hes a little bugger at the moment, and like to hit or bite if he doesnt get his won way, so we have to sit him down and face him away from us so he cant bite or hit, he even lean to turn and try and bite! and he thinks its hilarious to turn the skybox off and run off. so we arent reacting to it and just ignoring him so he will hopefully give up.
we had to move the settee to try and stop him climbing on to the window sill which has worked for now.

worleywinterwonderland · 03/12/2007 22:24

macdogs hubby is a pharmacy tech at the hospital i think??

my dp worked for mencap before.

AND he has xmas day off this year!!!!!!! the first in about 4 years i think yipee, were so looking forward to chilling out with the fire on all day, lots of logs to burn and the boys happy playing and watching tv.

but as i just typed that i just remebered about his mum, so i doubt it will be as we were thinking now actually, so am i horrible for feeling a bit disapointed that we cant do that

dd went through a biting phase which thankfully has passed. We realised she absolutely revelled in the attention she got so stopped doing the naughty step type thing, a stern look and ignoring her was much more effective like you are doing.

Really looking into getting on to this damn course. Stupid thing is I'm too qualified to go via the foundation year course. It's at UCLAN or nothing.

Macdog · 03/12/2007 22:39

It's my dh who is a Pharmacy Tech in Glasgow.
He's pants at Mental Arithmetic though

OP posts:
Jennster · 04/12/2007 09:37

Ahhh. Just been working out how to get some work experience in a dentist with a 4 month old baby. Any ideas?

JoanWilder · 04/12/2007 10:54

go round to dentists and ask?
the worst they can say is no,
say you are only free for the times you can manage

morning sickness awful, the anti emitic made it much worse, is it worth asking for the anti histamine to staop vomiting?
(A/E is clorizine?) just keeps all the irritation inside my poor tummy so feel 10 times worse, what do the pharmacists think???

JoanWilder · 04/12/2007 10:56

I cant remember what it's like to feel 'hungry' or eager to eat.

what is the point it becomes hyperwahtsit? when I lose weight?
