Who the f is she? Never heard of her before thank goodness.

Went to a brilliant soft play area today on a farm with pigs goats calves piglets hens a couple of ponies and a kitten.

The soft play was really clean and not busy, and the cafe sold home made nice locally sourced food. Not a deep fried beef burger in sight.

Macdog · 29/11/2007 20:23

Sarah-Jane is from Cbeebies
Sounds like my kind of soft play!

Happy St Andrew's Day to all my Sassenach pals !!!!!!!!

We had excitement last night:
At 11pm big BANG and all the lights went out!
Ruddy fuse blew
Luckily it was only the main lights, not sockets. dh belted round the local area trying to locate 5amp fusewire (with no success) while I stayed at home and drank some Cava (to save it going off in the dark, you understand )

Peeing it down with rain today. Got drenched on way home from toddlers (via Ironmongers for fusewire - all fixed now).
Have decided that the Macwoof really doesn't need a walk. Been out and changed his straw (cos it was stinky) and gave him some biccies. He had a run round the garden and seems quite happy, and he'll get proper walk tomorrow

Happy St Andrew's day Macdog.

Just been in contact with University and they've had 125 applications for 32 places. It would be highly unlikely I would get on the course it seems. Spoken to my old boss too and she has come up with ideas for jobs within the company. I'm still going to apply though.

Macdog · 30/11/2007 18:56

Apply anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Went to supermarket and bought Cava on a 3 for £10 offer and bought dh a bottle of red wine too (feeling generous). dh came in the door clinking, he'd been to supermarket and got the same deals!!
Chez Macdog is a very happy home

hello all
well i think dp enjoyed himself as much as ds1 and all his friends did running around playing laser quest for ds1's party.

i thought i'd mentioned this but looking back i might not have, or i have am i cant see if i wrote it.... im tired... but dps mum is in intensive care so i havnt had much time all week to be on here, she has pneumonia and hasnt been taking her insulin so is in kiodney failure, she has been on dialisis and this morning they took her off to see how her body copes, shes been on a ventilator scince tuesday so shes not aware of whats goingon. dp has had to go to work tonight as his new job starts so im looking after his foster brother (his parrents used to foster children with learning disabilites and 20 years later they still have one living with them as he didnt want to go, so hes now 35 but really has the metal age of only about a 11-12 year old - so he doesnt really fully understand whats going on)

so im just grabbing 10 mins on here to sort out ds1's ipod he got as he wants to listen to his audio books and then its off to asda to find some tea that will keep everyone happy this eve, planning to cook a big roast chicken tomoorw, im looking forward to it already..

Macdog · 01/12/2007 19:51

OMG, WB.
How utterly awful for everyone.
Sending positive thoughts your way

OP posts:
worleybear · 01/12/2007 22:01

thankyou, i feel more upset for dp than anything, he's by himself as his dad died about 12 years ago and his brother is in america, so he feels he has to do everything, even though i've tried talking to gim, he kind of shuts off, then comes out with things like, "how am i going to get her back to birmingham for a funeral" and we dont even know if its getting near that or not yet.

worleybear · 01/12/2007 22:04

the first one is "can you give the next item in this series? - 4 8 32 512 ?"
