have to go ds2 is screaming and trying to smak the keyboard

Jennster · 24/11/2007 17:44

I could, but not sure I want to. Am liking the idea of not working for a bit. Can do locums to keep us in the black (just) while I'm studying.

worleybear · 25/11/2007 21:04

what sort ofthing are you thinking of? i did ponder on going in to teaching for a while, but after helping put with ds1's class a few times it put me off as some of the kids are really cheeky and dont listen, my friend is a pe teacher and did say that these kids were in the minority, but there were still a few he would like to throw javelins at!!!

JoanWilder · 25/11/2007 21:09

ooh retraining. I would love to do some freelance writing; get paid for some short stories...need some inspiration

worleybear · 25/11/2007 21:09

i had a big tidy up today, ds1 was at cub camp for the day so it was just me and ds2 who has taken to trying to help me put things away, so i made the most of it!! he loves to sweep up, hes scared of the hoover though so i had to hold him on one hip while i tried to reach the cobwebs on the ceiling with the other hand.

but to catch up, ds2 is 17months on friday, ds1 is 9 on friday (both born on the 30th) i have no idea how much ds2 weighs as havnt been to the hv scince june when i got him weighed to check he was heavyenough for his new careseat. hes in some 12-18mths clothes but mainly still 9-12 mth trousers esspess as he has short little legs

i burnt my finger earlier rinsing the spagetti and im having to hold my finger in a cup of cold water as it wont stop stinging!!!

worleybear · 25/11/2007 21:12

jw, can you send stories in and get paid, not sure how all the publishing world works, ds1 wants to be an author and an illustrator. not a fireman or a policeman or a mechanic, oh no he wants to write science fiction!!

JoanWilder · 25/11/2007 21:22

smart lad!

Jennster · 25/11/2007 23:02

I want dd and ds to be a sparky, plumber or plasterer.

Jennster · 25/11/2007 23:03

Little sis has just split up with her fella of 10 years. She is broody, he isn't. They haven't lived together for a year but very sad anyhow.

JoanWilder · 26/11/2007 15:01

I knew there was a reason you asked me the age difference between dd and ds. That's fabulous.

Dentist

JoanWilder · 27/11/2007 15:15

very scared.....

ooh Jenn dentist, eh..
what qualification would you need?

best points - job satisfaction, head of small team, ace pay, interesting work

worst points - halitosis, neglectful parents, causing fear/pain

JoanWilder · 27/11/2007 15:18

I reckon Im about 3 weeks, so very very early days,
feel nausea all bleedin day already, work is very tiring! already...
baby would be due Aug -ish (hoping for 08/08/08 great birthday!
dd would be 26mths old hopefully well potty trained by then,,,,
I suppose I'll still need a double buggy, any recommendations?

JoanWilder · 27/11/2007 15:18

also healthy eating has gone out the window, and my tummy is visible! (if I am being honest,it never went away)

Jennster · 27/11/2007 16:04

Just scoffing home made fat free malt loaf. yummy yummy. I have a PhilnTeds, but you might be able to get away with your pram you have now and a buggy board. What pram do you have, and isdoes it have to be light or fold down really small, because double ones don't.

Jennster · 27/11/2007 16:08

If you're only three weeks, then it was last Tuesday you conceived.

Went to post natal exercise today and feel fab. If it weren't dangerous to run on my own in the dark, I'd be sorely tempted. Need to get moving again.

JoanWilder · 27/11/2007 20:57

I did an online calculator - ahem

lmp 20/10
concieved 4/11 (coincides with my diary entry too [blush)
due 27/7/08
makes me closer to 5 weeks..

Jennster · 28/11/2007 10:10

Sounds about right, you lob on 2 weeks from the deed for 80% of the female population. Obviously if you menstruate more than every 28 days then it's different.

Jennster · 28/11/2007 10:10

Ha you will be due around ds's first birthday.

JoanWilder · 28/11/2007 12:09

I am 33 day cycle, like clockwork..

threw my guts up this morning, cant believe its started so soon, I was sick up to week 27 with dd good grief thats a lot of puking, I will ruin my teeth,..

JoanWilder · 28/11/2007 12:10

remember going to have a c/s probably in week 39.

JoanWilder · 28/11/2007 15:13

Im drinking sparkling water...never liked it before...gone off tea and coffee , never liked milk, dont fancy orange juice so Im running out of options

Jennster · 28/11/2007 17:02

ovaltine? Horlicks? Expensive fruit juices diluted with sparkling water, squashes, herbal teas with honey? Lemon and ginger tea was my favourite. A knob of root ginger with hot water
