Hurrah for sleeping babies !!

OP posts:
TenderheartBear · 12/10/2007 22:27

i found the laughing babies ages ago, and thought i had to post it, it makes me laugh so much, i LOVE the quads(?)(i cant remember how many there are...just lots of them !! how did she do it!!)
the rest are what my friends have sent me.
ther is another one of a panda sneezing which is soo funny too.

my boobs are hurting too, ds2 hasnt fed for about 3-4 days now, hes just not interested at all, im worrying im going to get mastitis again.

Jennster · 13/10/2007 12:46

THB you can express a little to make yourself comfortable without worrying about starting supply up again.

Ha ds was just storing up not sleeping. Gave him a feed at 11.30 and he wouldn't go back to sleep until 2 ish. I am so tired and grouchy. I don't know how many times I've had to apologise to dh this morning.

Just been to a nearly new sale too. They are like bun fights! There wasn't enough parking so ended up miles away, and thats half an hour before it even started. Got dd a leap pad, a booster seat for our dining room chairs, loads of clothes for ds all for £25.

Also the place for winter coats is Woolworths. They are all half price at the moment. I got dh one with mittens that button on.

JoanWilder · 13/10/2007 20:57

ello chaps...

blimey 'which' army not 'what army'
I honestly didnt see that mistake. why not 'what army' an army is a what?
what is the difference?? Am doubting myself help!!

Got a manager meeting at work tomorrow with the new manager and the old one...that'll be a weird situation

JoanWilder · 13/10/2007 20:58

AND Ive just scoffed a whole box of g malteasers (146g size, 2 for £2 in coop, damn them)

JoanWilder · 13/10/2007 21:00

AND dd has a stinking cold, her first real cold. to hear her snuffling is heartbreaking!! snot is everywhere!

Jenn - what did you mean by a melon in your armpit?
a) Literally, your dh bringing fruit to bed?
b) One of your boobs expanded into your armpit
c) as your next post is about nappies, did your ds poo in your armpit?

am so, so utterly confused by everything tonight, so sorry. If its an obvious thing please please ignore this post I beseech you./...

Jennster · 13/10/2007 21:48

Yeah one boob the size of a Galia. Think I accidentally fed off same one twice on trot so 12 hours without feeding meant boob engorged so much it had spread into armpit with stretch marks - you how there are loads of lymph glands in your armpit. Sorry to confuse things.

Just asked DH about which/what and he reckons it can be both, but thinks which is better (plural?) and then threw whose into the occasion.

Oh and washing machine not even getting looked at until next week . Did a wash at the launderette this morning, but can't bring ourselves to wash the nappies there. We've hidden them in the attic so they don't smell the bathroom out.

TenderheartBear · 14/10/2007 21:19

wish me luck.... tomorrow i have to go in to work and ask them to let me change my hours so i can do 9 till 2 every day so i can get home to pick ds1 up from school. dp has been offered a job which is day work instead of nights, (he has been on mainly nights for 5 years to help out with childcare whilst i trained and then worked) we have a new head of dept and she has "dropped" in to conversation many times before, whe i have had to take time in lieu for something to do with childcare or school plays) that she always managed to work full time and have her 2 kids, (then i found out that she had an au pair looking after them), so i dont think she is going to be impressed.
i currently do 8.45 till 5.15 3 days a week, so im hoping they will let me change.....

Jennster · 14/10/2007 21:40

Tough on your boss, think you have the right to request a major change in hours, which they are obliged? to consider but think you need to put it in writing. I would start a thread and get some HR person to give you the lowdown so you can walk into the meeting prepared.

Jennster · 14/10/2007 21:40

Oh and good luck

Jennster · 14/10/2007 21:45

see here and especially the bit about what is considered as inflexible as I would guess you would apply under a number of points under that.

JoanWilder · 14/10/2007 21:56

by 'occasion' do you mean'equation'!!!!!

JoanWilder · 14/10/2007 21:56

or equasion/equazion oh my god Ive lost all of my language I know Ive got mad cows disease

JoanWilder · 14/10/2007 21:59

good luck THB spell out the advantages of an hour change and Im sure she'll see reason. Did any of yous read the Daily Mail on Sat about the scandalous health area woman who had 3 dirty hospitals in her command and 1150 people caught c difficile because she lied and covered up! and now shes in line for a 400k golden handshake!

Jennster · 14/10/2007 22:46

Yes I reread the post earlier and had no idea which word I actually meant. Equation LOL

Jennster · 14/10/2007 22:47

Didn't read it but heard it on radio. Typical bloody typical of NHS. It's slowly being screwed over by too many managers.

JoanWilder · 15/10/2007 15:07

I hate the nhs.

Macdog · 15/10/2007 17:58

Am fed up. Broke another tooth. asked the dentist to take it out, but he thinks it's repairable.
His first option was porcelain crown at only £140. Once he'd resuscitated me he decided to look at cheaper options. He says that he might be able to do the repair for around the same money as an extraction, so fingers crossed

Apart from that I'm fine, just cheesed off with my excema flare up. I cannot bend any of my fingers and both hands are inflamed. I've sent for beeswax barrier cream to see if it will help. It's got a money back guarantee, so I'm not risking anything.

Off to meet hubby at station now , catch up later

OP posts:
JoanWilder · 16/10/2007 14:35

sorry to hear that, MD,

was utterly ed by what I saw today and heard today at the local soft play centre!

  1. Two ignorant mums stacked all of their kids' shoes on the table! (It is also a restaurant/cafe) Rude cows.

  2. A ridiculously named child of about 4 (Anoushka) came up randomly to me and told me her au pair was a 'stupid cow' and then stood watching me and said 'fucking' three times...I just turned back to dd and ignored her!!!! And from a posh family too!

TenderheartBear · 16/10/2007 21:40

well i spoke to my first boss who thought it would be quite handy with me there every morning as its busy then due to clinics going on in hospital etc then i spoke to the one above her who didnt go for it at all,, but she is going to think about it. so maybe, i may find out tomorrow fingers crossed.

TenderheartBear · 16/10/2007 21:43

i changed dentists last year, to cut a long story short, my dentist who i had seen scince i was little retired and his new replacement was useless, he drilled the wrong tooth (he thought it was the one giving me toothache when it wasnt) removed a filling that didnt need replacing and so when i relayed all this to my mum (who's a dental nurse) she told me to change straight away and now the one i have is lovely and sorted my root canal out properly.

although i do have a curved root so if it starts up again i will have to go private he said as they need a microscope or something to drill the canal out properly. ooo that willl be sore me thinks

TenderheartBear · 16/10/2007 21:46

this face book thing is a bit addictive, i just found out how to use the superpoke thing properly (i accidently annoyed everybody and hugged them all this afternoon) when i only meant to do it to some, oh dear

TenderheartBear · 16/10/2007 21:52

while im thinking about it......
when we went to London a few weeks ago, we were walking down oxford street, when they started shutting the disney store, me being nosey asks a lady standing outside what is going on, as she was all excited because the high school musical people were there. anyway, me not being at all interested carrys on and so 30 mins later as we were heading back up again, heard all these screams and they were practiucally blocking the road with people trying to take pictures of them all (even though they were all behind the cage door things)
i found it very amusing anyway, esspess as there were women there older than me!!!!

now if it had been jake gylinhall-however you spell it- or stephen dorff maybe i would have been there screaming too !!

JoanWilder · 17/10/2007 14:36

steven dorff should be called steven dwarf as he is a total short-arse
Jake...now he is interesting. did you see him on jonathan ross? he came over as a real sweetie.

Trauma at playgroup....10 mins in dd started coughing so I picked her up and she vomited pink goo into both our laps...coughed again and spat out a little plastic gold star...
hence mums moving away as we both smelled of vomit but she was fine so I stayed there
took me ages to figure out why pink - blackberry yogurt for breakfast, and god only knows where a star came from, and what made her eat it, she doesnt normally eat non-edible things.

lesson learned...put spare trousers for dd back in nappy bag, she has not grown out of trouser-related incidents!

Jennster · 17/10/2007 15:43

nor will she until fully potty trained JW
