Hello

Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

Steven Dorf (backbeat?) yes please.

Macdog · 17/10/2007 19:57

Well, skin improving slowly. Finally dawned on me what was causing it. Bought 'Lotus' loo roll (the one with the cleansing balm) cos it was on cheap deal. Switched back to usual one and itching/cracking has faded.

Am totally addicted to FB tv quiz. It's one of those things that once I start I. Just. Can't. Stop!

How did the work thing pan out THB?

Yay glad your hands getting better. Suppose you've tried just plain old olive oil?

TenderheartBear · 17/10/2007 22:08

i thought, what bad parents they are and now nate does it all the time, im going to have to out him in boxing loves or something!!

TenderheartBear · 17/10/2007 22:09

JoanWilder · 18/10/2007 15:53

lol thb....up at dawn to internet!!!!!!

JoanWilder · 18/10/2007 15:54

dd still streaming cold but fine in herself/eating...how long does mega-snot last for?

Jennster · 18/10/2007 21:44

DD spent forever with snot. Very surprised you've managed to get away without them for so long. Does doodle go to nursery? DS just had 12 week injections, which reminded me, dd had her 12 and 16 week injections delayed a couple of weeks due to snot.

BREAKING NEWS - DS now 15lb 3.5oz, at 12 weeks, the same weight dd was at 28 weeks - mind she lost loads when I got meningitis, but even still, she just went back down onto the 12th centile. Ds started on the 50th, was on 75th at 8 weeks and is JUST short of the 91st now!

Jennster · 18/10/2007 21:45

And it was just snot, not ever really a sickness as such. Seems she constantly had snot.

Macdog · 19/10/2007 09:34

dd had the snot thing as well. Takes it off her daddy, Mr Sneezy

OP posts:
JoanWilder · 19/10/2007 14:52

feel really breathless and sick...got a bit of a cold myself. Have self-diagnosed and am taking iron tablets for a bit to see if improvement.

JoanWilder · 19/10/2007 14:53

dd marginally less snotty...I hate it, she keeps wiping her nose on all of my clothes!

Macdog · 19/10/2007 17:13

Poorly you !!

We had lovely afternoon. Took dd down to the park to visit the ponies (pics on FB).
Weather was gorgeous, really warm and sunny. At least it got us out the house and into the fresh air.
She's all bunged up still

OP posts:
TenderheartBear · 19/10/2007 21:25

your pics are lovely macdog

i have to work tomorrow afternoon, i had completly forgot till someone told me they were working with me tomorrow!! i wouldnt have turned up if they didnt mention it!!

something really sad has happened to one of the women at ds1's school, her husband died in july aged 43, 2 weeks after they had ds, then this week the poor little ds dies this week, she must be devastated. both non suspicious but to lose one is bad but both. it makes you realise how lucky we are.

Jennster · 19/10/2007 22:36

Snot and temp with dd today.

Oh that's awful poor lady thb. One of dd's nursery friend's mum has just died. I didn't know her, but the dad is devastated. She had cancer and didn't die of the cancer, but of an illness as the result of the chemo/radio. He has an under 2 year old to deal with.

Jennster · 19/10/2007 22:46

Don't mean to put you off JW but supplementing with iron when you don't know if you're actually anaemic is dangerous. Iron is really quite toxic (honest) to the extent that just a few tablets can kill a child.

On a lighter note, am drinking a glass of wine my cleaner brought back from Romania last time she went home and it's delicious. Sweet, but perfect for the curried chicken meatballs (with apricots and cashews) I made for dinner tonight. (no really they were gorgeous)

JoanWilder · 21/10/2007 22:57

hmmmm, iron did give me the squits.. I have stopped taking it anyway,
I feel so weird, kind of depressed, panicky, breathless (panic attacks?) worried, irritable? I am sleeping fine, eating a bit less ( now 12 stone 12lbs hooray!)
when Im at work I am fine, but at home alone with dd I just feel so down, even though I do love being with her. is this a normal phase?
she's 16mths old tomorrow so too late for PND?
TBH I would think I was pg if I wasnt having a massive period right now, so don't know what to think...
feel better after talking to dh about it; there are big changes at work with the new manager, and my sis and best friend both having their babies...

JoanWilder · 21/10/2007 22:57

feel dreadful whining about this when there are people with real problems, just read back the posts. How sad for that woman.

Macdog · 22/10/2007 12:49

Hey JW.
Don't worry, MN here for getting it out your system. Can you go and chat to your GP/HV/Practice Nurse about feeling crappy? Maybe keeping stuff bottled up is making you feel worse?
(Feel free to yell at me if you want )

feeling better again today,,,

just had an incredibly stressful weekend where had to go to a large party with people from my past who really should stay in my past (ie. they used to bully me in the past) and it really screws me up whenever I come back into contact with them even though it is ridiculous I am a grown woman and they cant hurt me now...
IYSWIM. on top of every thing else it all got a bit ott but I am definately on the other side of it now, and the more distance from it the better

JoanWilder · 22/10/2007 15:26

I have evil thoughts about that person, I hope that they have a stroke and lose movement in half of their face meaning their partner has to wipe up their dribble for the rest of their life..

I SO HAVE TO BELIEVE IN KARMA,,,

vent over!!

Jennster · 23/10/2007 21:50

Ladies do you know there are loads of voucher codes you can use to get extra points and money off Tesco online shopping, so you can get them to deliver to your house, get money that will pay for the delivery and a little bit extra, and extra points you can spend on your hols. Will link if you want me to....

Macdog · 24/10/2007 15:15

On subject of online shopping, I'm going to be REALLY cheeky and ask you to look here.
We are using this site to fundraise for our Parent and Toddler group.
If you were to go through this site (most major retailers), we would get a percentage of your spend.
No pressure, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask!!!

(If you go to a-z of causes, it is Blacklands Parent & Toddler group.)
