After a brief discussion dp and I can't come up with anything better than testes. Can you?

i say testes in an everday way - they get used to it

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2007 21:14

oh yes he has asked

he said "these are to hold the wee, aren't they?"

I said no, they were for holding the seeds that make babies, for when he was a daddy

when dp got home he got them out and said "look daddy, look at my seed-holders"

we can't go on like that ffs

Boyberries! His Dad's are manberries!!! tee hee

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2007 21:15

yes I really think balls is not too bad but slightly too rude for me

I will smirk if I have to say testicles

testes sounds nice and clinical and manly

DeviousDaffodil · 10/05/2007 21:17

LoL at frannys seed holders!
Brilliant. I love it.
DS1 picked up 'goolies' in the yard i quite like it.

ChocolateFace · 10/05/2007 21:17

We say testicles. What is the difference between testicles and testes?

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2007 21:18

He finally asked tonight how the seed gets inside a woman

this was at 7.05 pm

bedtime is at 7 pm

I skillfully dodged the subject but he will be back

The 'package' is called 'tickle tackle' - don't ask. It came from DH and has stuck........

snowleopard · 10/05/2007 21:19

Ballies!

It's DP's word but it works because it distinguishes them from all the other balls...

ChasingSquirrels · 10/05/2007 21:19

so tell him they are called testes (and tell him the seed is called sperm), then mention that sometimes people call them balls, in the
same way that Olly at pre-school has the full name of Oliver (obviously substitute a real friend here!). Job done.

kittypants · 10/05/2007 21:19

love the seedholders and boyberries/manberries
amazingly with ds6 the subjects never come up.he does like his willy though.

ChocolateFace · 10/05/2007 21:20

My boys presumed Daddy put his willy in my mouth and I ate the seeds. We soon set them straight!

ChasingSquirrels · 10/05/2007 21:20

the mummy and the daddy have a special cuddle, Where Willy Went is a good book for this.

Lizzylou · 10/05/2007 21:20

DH calls them his Bag of tricks

gythaoggsfrog · 10/05/2007 21:21

Will his Testes be followed by Exames?

chocolatebirdy · 10/05/2007 21:22

PMSL at leather sacks!!!

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2007 21:24

Yes I am fairly geared up for it

we have been building up to it since he was about 2.5 and asked how the baby got in to the mummy

btw I know this is a bit ignorant but can anyone tell me offhand when boys start producing sperm? He was kind of asking me this morning. Am I right in saying that girls have eggs present from birth, but boys don't produce sperm until adolescence?

Ds (aged 6) hasn't really asked yet, although I did have to describe what they were recently to illustrate an incident where a cricketer got hit with a cricket ball in that area.

I think we will probably go with testicles, but make sure he knows they are also referred to as balls, as he will encounter that in the playground.

It reminds me of an incident when my Dad (who sadly has Alzheimers, and was about 86 at the time) had a conversation with ds about his cuddly octopus.

Ds:- Look Grandpa an octopus!
Grandpa:- Yes, and an octopus has eight testicles!

Fortunately ds was too young to understand why the rest of the family roared with laughter at this

pointydog · 10/05/2007 21:24

boak at special cuddle

chocolatebirdy · 10/05/2007 21:24

Bag of tricks!!! lol! This is turning into a very amusing thread!

MuminBrum · 10/05/2007 21:24

Wanglers or wangleberries. But I like boyberries and manberries very much too.
