Tatties · 10/05/2007 21:08

Dp says boolies

pucca · 10/05/2007 21:08

Actually i couldn't imagine saying testes lol.

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2007 21:08

yes you see, we thought that was slightly rude

he is 4, and will probably embark on show and tell, once he realises they have a name all to themselves

ds's keep referring to them as balls and nuts now, tho i have no idea where they picked it up from

they have always been called noonah's here lol

barbamama · 10/05/2007 21:09

what is the difference between testes and testicles?

I think we have started to say balls which is not very good. tbh I really want to be able to say the anatomically correct words as it seems silly not to but I just can't bring myself to call a little 2 year old willy (tinkle - for lack of anything better - what we called it as kids) a penis.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 10/05/2007 21:09

testicles and / or balls (so they get playground references)

Why would that not so?

notanOtter · 10/05/2007 21:09

leather sack

DrippingLizzie · 10/05/2007 21:09

Conkers.

ChasingSquirrels · 10/05/2007 21:09

though it has only been mentioned once to date (he is 4.5y) and I said "your balls" and he said "my whattt?" so I said "well their proper name is testicles, but most people call them balls". He was happy with that and has never mentioned again.

DimpledThighs · 10/05/2007 21:10

bollocks

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2007 21:10

No testes is not a word in my everyday vocab

however it is decriptive

accurate

not possible to misunderstand

and not crude or just far too ludicrous (ie testicles, scrotum)

pointydog · 10/05/2007 21:12

nads is quite a nice one

ChasingSquirrels · 10/05/2007 21:12

has he asked Franny? Personally I wouldn't bother unless he asked, ESPECIALLY if he is likely to show and tell - am pmsl at that image.
My ds is apparently getting married to x at pre-school when they are older, then giving her some of his sperm.

Tatties · 10/05/2007 21:12

I think testicle is fine, probably the word I will use if I'm feeling sensible
