Hello its me again I joined this thread a month ago and would love to chat with other mums, and exchange points of view!! once again MY ds of 5 has just joined KL, and my oldest ds is with BK. any other KL mums out there and are you happy with the agency?

Lolly68 · 09/05/2007 11:09

Hi dancerdeb - have you heard anything from Kids since you joined?

dancerdeb · 09/05/2007 11:18

Hi Lolly68 Nope!,not a thing, I did email them asking them if they wanted his cv on his past jobs etc, but they didnt get back to me, oops maybe that was a mistake. It does say in the booklet dont hesitate to ask if there is anything you want to know, or maybe its just me feeling intimidated, thats why Im asking are they a friendly agency? are you with them to?

is anyone with bruce&brown or rascals?

what are their charges? are they payable every year?

BigmummaL · 09/05/2007 12:59

I am not with Rascals but I know someone who's DS is with them. They are pretty expensive £200+ per year I believe. They also have not heard anything from them and have been with them since around October. I know they do get work though, but aren't the most friendliest of agency. When I was looking for an agency for my DS we went for an assessment with them and weren't really that impressed with their attitudes. Bruce & Brown from what I hear are much better.

nappyaddict · 09/05/2007 13:04

anyone heard of top tots

or mustard ?

marymay · 09/05/2007 13:04

dont know if this is any help.when i have taken my dd and ds to castings,i dont think i have ever meet anyone from rascals.but there is always children at them from bruce and brown.

Tinkerbel5 · 09/05/2007 13:33

nappyaddict try Bruce & Brown, they have very low start up fees and a very good agency.

Tinkerbel5 · 09/05/2007 13:34

at castings/jobs I have seen B & B, KL, UA, MOT & TS.

Lolly68 · 09/05/2007 13:37

Dancerdeb - yes my DD is with Kids. I find that it is best to phone them rather than email - they never reply!!

julie4travel · 09/05/2007 14:10

nappiddict - bruce and brown do not charge an assesment fee. they take £25 from teh first job and the model book is optional , we did it last year approx it cost us about 3140 - cant remember exactly. the agency is very friendly i have no regrets whatsoever since joining them

dancerdeb · 09/05/2007 14:19

Lolly68. cheers for that I feel reassured,I did call them and spoke to Leon even though I didnt feel very comfortable, just felt 'here we go again' another mother!! How old is your dd and how long have you been with kids? last question!! have you had any work with them? Soz but just dont know this agency well!

ellesmum · 09/05/2007 14:24

darncerdeb - my dd is with kids london, she is 3 and has been with them for 9 months and had 9 jobs and 2 castings she was quite busy last year but now things have gone really quiet for her with 2 castings and 2 jobs since jan. kids are a very good agency and are highly rated ive always seen other children from kids london at jobs and castings. i think age 5 is quite a popular age group so hopefully you will hear from them soon.

like lolly said i always ring them when i have any questions as they rarely awnser emails.

good luck!

Lolly68 · 09/05/2007 14:26

They always seem very rushed when I phone them. So dont be put off. They are a very good agency. My friend has a 3 year old with them and she has had lots of work. My DD has only had one job for Junior P&B and a few castings. I was with ES before and had a few more jobs but was not happy with them. I work full time you see so I cant always get time off for jobs and castings. So not having much suits me. Also my DD is coming up to that "awkward" age so dont think my phone will be ringing that much!

Lolly68 · 09/05/2007 14:27

Dancerdeb - ellesmum is the friend I was talking about!

dancerdeb · 09/05/2007 14:30

Ellesmum, Thank you for your feedback much appreciated, you seem very happy with kids and so does lolly68 somehow I think Im in a good place!! now Im off to my dance school to do 4hrs teaching, hopefully the phone will ring!!! spk soon

Lolly68 · 09/05/2007 15:22

Ellesmum - have replied.

nappyaddict · 09/05/2007 18:30

julie4travel - how often is the model book updated? just trying to see how often you'd have to pay to be in it.

have been accepted by rascals and B&B and i am still waiting for UA and MOT to get back to me.

who are TS?

BigmummaL · 09/05/2007 20:04

TS are Truly Scrumptious

julie4travel · 09/05/2007 20:19

nappyaddict just once a year i believe

totallyfloaty35 · 09/05/2007 20:48

nappyaddict,go for BB,they are very hard to get on the books with, they get lots of work and are very nice,my dd1 and dd3 are with u/a they are also very gd and really friendly.
Dancerdeb,my dd2 is with kl,she is 9 though and the older they get the less work there is,we are still waiting for our first call, she joined them about 2-3wks ago.

nappyaddict · 09/05/2007 23:33

£140 every year seems a lot though. isn't it only £40 for UA and £60 for MOT i think someone told me.

Rubystar77 · 09/05/2007 23:38

hello dancerdeb and mums.
nappyaddict- go with b&b, i would've loved my girls to have had a yes from them, i had a bad experience with rascals, no jobs,no castings and unfriendly.
one of my dd is now with bizzykidz(17 months old) and the other with scallywags (5months old) they've both only been with them about 2 weeks.
dancerdeb- BK emailed me again asking for height, whoops i weren't quick enough,at least there is some contact coming from them, i have good vibes with these.

nappyaddict · 10/05/2007 03:05

didn't get accepted by Urban Angels.

re: bizzykids - do they charge a yearly fee and if so how much is it?
