I was stuck on Pippa for yonks but have gone off it. Then latched on to Harriet but we live in Essex so poor child will be called 'Arriet'. Then liked Verity but Soapstar Superstar arrived on our screens.

I don't want anything in the Govt top 100 but want an old fashioned name, not made up...thats really unusual

see top 100 here

My surname is similar to Gilbert.

Can anyone help????

When are you due UCM? - we'll be watching out for the birth announcement!

Aloha · 12/01/2007 18:45

Ms Shadenfreude - I love all of those names! My dd's first and second name have cropped up several times too.
I think some of these names like Esme, Edie, Erin, Martha, Orla and Clara, while really very beautiful, are already pretty popular. At least, they are round my way!

I am due on 24th Jan. But unfortunately broke my ankle yesterday so currently babys name is 'please don't arrive until I at least get a cast on'. Actually I might call her Graham after the lovely nurse who helped me yesterday

Wanted to add thank you for the lovely suggestions. I am going to use one of them, not sure which at the moment.

Also thanks Jan for linking those sites. They were fascinating and real food for thought.
