Piffle in Hospital...

Hello, Piffle's (Jane's) hubby here.
I hope that I have posted this in the correct section!

Jane has asked me to let the club know that she had to be admitted to hospital this afternoon with appendicitis. She has already had the operation and is now back on the ward recovering, both Jane and the baby are fine.
As many of you will know, Jane is 21wks pregnant so the docs are likely to keep her in for at least a couple of days so that they can keep a close eye on her and the baby.
I'll be back at the hospital in the morning to see how she is getting on and to take her a few bits 'n' pieces to make her stay on the ward easier.
I'll try to post an update when I get more news.
Kieran

Really sorry if I have got this wrong - but Piffle, is it you is one of the Mn emetophobes? In which case extra extra sympathy - you poor thing.
And well done for standing your ground and having the op at grantham. Phew!

Booboobedoo · 08/11/2006 17:59

Piffle! .

The first thing I saw when I read Mr Piffle's post was 'I hope that means she can be on nice strong pain-killers for a few days to relieve the SPD'. But no!

So sorry you're going through this - hope to see you back 'with' us soon.

hulababy · 08/11/2006 18:16

Oh no, poor Piffle. I am glad to hear that the op went well and she is now recovery. Hope her hospital stay is short as possible and she is back home soon.

misdee · 08/11/2006 18:20

oh piffle, hope you get better soon.

xx

schneebly · 08/11/2006 18:20

Oh piffle - I wish you a quick recovery and a good remainder of your pg - thanks to Mr Piffle for letting us know.

Miaou · 08/11/2006 18:25

Aw, poor Piff, sounds like she is suffering

I was sick after the op too - a result of the GA I was told. It lasted about 12-24 hours iirc.

I also had open surgery - they don't do keyhole surgery up here in the wilds of Scotland! I had my op three weeks ago and my scar is almost healed - a little bit tender to the touch, but the stitches have dissolved and I forget about it most of the time.

Hope she is feeling better soon
