Piffle in Hospital...

[Piffle]

Hello, Piffle's (Jane's) hubby here.
I hope that I have posted this in the correct section!

Jane has asked me to let the club know that she had to be admitted to hospital this afternoon with appendicitis. She has already had the operation and is now back on the ward recovering, both Jane and the baby are fine.
As many of you will know, Jane is 21wks pregnant so the docs are likely to keep her in for at least a couple of days so that they can keep a close eye on her and the baby.
I'll be back at the hospital in the morning to see how she is getting on and to take her a few bits 'n' pieces to make her stay on the ward easier.
I'll try to post an update when I get more news.

tell her to take it easy. I had mine out years ago and it took a long time to recover. I hope by now they have worked out a better way of doing it.

I had my appendix out at 17 weeks pregnant so know exactly how you feel.

Hope your doctors are better than mine and have checked baby is ok - i had to wait 24 hours before they even bothered to check, and only because I kicked up a fuss!

Take it steady and try and take things slowly. I was very fragile for about a week or 2 afterwards.... not much fun when it was my brothers wedding 1 week after the op!!!

IIRC, JARM had her appendix removed whilst pregnant as well.

So did my mum when she was 5 months along w/my older sister.

Hmmm, wonder if there's a connection w/pregnancy and appendicitis!
