Hi everyone
We are off to Poole tommorow for 4 nights so I need to do the packing today and we need to hoover out the car first etc. I hope the weather stays like this, not too hot but sunny. Good luck with all your agency dilemas Julie! I'm sure you'll sort it out with someone. When I get back will this thread be called Child Modelling August 06?

julie4travel · 31/07/2006 09:22

princessmel- someone will start a new thread for august , it gets so long after a month so a new one will be formed. have a nice time in Poole wish it was me

we have a three year olds birthday party on Thurs, she is so excited as we have ordered her a princess castle cake (takes two people to carry it apparently!) so bet we will be sick of cake by the end of the week.

right just about to start my calls...

princessmel · 31/07/2006 09:26

Wow how fab! Where did you get it from? Its dd's first birthday next week and as we call her princess ( hence my chatname) she's having a princess party! The cake would be great!

julie4travel · 31/07/2006 09:55

princessmel- its a friend of a friend making it, I am having to go to a place called leighton Buzzard to collect it. She doesn't do it as a living i think just as she enjoys it, apparently its ice cream cones for turrets etc and only £20 which i think is great. My god daughter had one for her birthday hense i copied the idea!

mrratty · 31/07/2006 10:29

I love making kids birthday cakes, I made DD a strawberry shaped glittery cake - it was really cute and it broke my heart to cut it up!!!

julie4travel · 31/07/2006 10:34

mratty- if i could cook i would yet normally the fire engines come out when i get in the kitchen!!!!

mrratty · 31/07/2006 10:39

Julie - have you spoken to anyone yet?

julie4travel · 31/07/2006 10:44

mrratty- noone in who i need to speak to! they don't want to say one way or another without speaking to the bosses

mrratty · 31/07/2006 10:51

Sounds frustrating! Hope it all gets sorted soon.
I beeter go and do something with the grils, really not sure what to do today. We went to the splash park at St Albans yeasterday and that was fantastic - I woulod highly recommend it.

good luck to all have jobs/castings!

ds did the MOT photoshoot last friday. it was a long journer for us.. hope the photos are good. he wasnt willing to smile and i think he just wanted to go home!! the mintue we got off the tube station, he said: can we go home to see daddy now? . Bless him, glad its done now!

have a lovely day !

YummyMummy21 · 31/07/2006 13:20

Hi everyone,
Ive just got in from the casting. What a waste of time! They wanted DD to do karate??
She has only just turned 18 months, and they were like can you get her to kick high and punch towards the camera at the same time which didnt quite happen
It took alot longer to get there than we had planned due to traffic and the stupid invention of in-car navigation programmes, which took us the wrong way. LoL.
They seemed to like HER but I dont think that she will get the job as couldnt do the moves they wanted

Anyway hope everyone else is Ok.
Take Care xXx

mrratty · 31/07/2006 13:25

Yummy - that's hilarious!!! I doubt any 18 months old could do that, I don't think these people havfe children!!!!

The splash park is in Verilium Park. It's bascially an enclosed soft surfacue with shoots of water and showers. It's not big but the girls loved it and it free.

tigeryuan · 31/07/2006 13:27

hi yummy,
how could they expect a 18 months to do karate? anyway, you never know.. fingers crossed for her!

YummyMummy21 · 31/07/2006 13:29

I know mrratty that what I said LoL.
I just said to my mum that it feels like we went to the wrong place.

She said that she thinks they should re think their ideas.

I cant wait to see it when it comes out

xXx

tigeryuan · 31/07/2006 13:29

mrratty - thanks! free is good!! can the parents allow to get in ?

mrratty · 31/07/2006 13:31

Yes, we went in and I got really soaked - all my own fault though as I was having so much fun!!!!

tigeryuan · 31/07/2006 13:33

sounds really good.. we should make a visit there! hehee!!

sha11 · 31/07/2006 13:42

Is anyone in the Epping Council area, do they know how to get a license yourself? my twins have a BBC job in 2 weeks, dont know how to get hold of it, the agency get the parents to do it..

OP posts:
mrratty · 31/07/2006 13:51

Well Done!!!!
Ring your council, some take 2 days others 2 weeks! Make a doctors appointment asap if you haven't already got a letter to say they are fit and well. I hope you get it in time.

What's it for?
