My second thread. The first is awaiting deletion due to details that were in the thread.

Basically, my brother is in intensive care with multiple stab wounds, he is stable, but critical. So he could go either way.

At the moment it doesn't feel real to me, I feel like I'm in a soap or something! It's very surreal :(

Awful isn't it Horse? I'm just thankful the news doesn't have all the details of his injuries.

Thank you everybody, it feels better to talk to a bunch of random strangers :) my mum said I can talk to her about it but I don't want to worry her, with mumsnet there's always someone around to chat to, my mum has to sleep sometime!

I'm still waiting to hear how his tracheostomy went! It was supposed to be over at 8pm, I texted my mum at half 8, no news yet, my sister (who is there with mum) said she'd let me know when they knew.

On my way to see him now with my mum and sister. Both his lungs had collapsed and one is back to normal, and the other lung isn't quite as bad as it was.
