Aillidh Christine Kinnaird died of complications from treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia at around 11.30 on 8 July 2012. She was surrounded by family and friends and most of all, love.

thumbwitch, I have noticed. I have C&P'd from expats page...I think they would not have realised the date in their grief and I wanted the notice here to be their own words.

What terrible sad sad news. I didnt post on the other prayer threads but have kept up to date with it.

There are no words to express how awful this is, i've shed tears for a child i didnt know. Expat i'm sure there is nothing any of us can say, but know that your wonderful daughter touched so many. I'm sure you will be so incredibly proud of her and her fight forever. Love and best wishes to you at this time. Aillidh sleep well angel x

I have just read the news and am sobbing. I am so Sorry for you all. You did everything you could. It's no comfort now but your daughter has had an amazing effect on others. Whether it be to get them to sign up to the Anthony Nolan register or just to see parenthood through diffent eyes. I don't think there are many little girls who could have such a great legacy. I am so so Sorry. Your hearts must be breaking. I have until now mostly lurked as words were not enough. There are still no words to convey what I truly feel for a family I have never met who shared the most personal and desperate experience and in doing so bought so many together. Ailidh will never be forgotten. Even by those she never met.

runnindownadream · 08/07/2012 01:49

There are times when words seem clumsy and meaningless. I wish and pray for continued strength for the whole family through these dark times.

Love has no boundaries, it is eternal and everlasting. God bless little one and sleep well knowing no pain can ever harm you now x x x
