Aillidh Christine Kinnaird died of complications from treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia at around 11.30 on 8 July 2012. She was surrounded by family and friends and most of all, love.

Expat , I can't even begin to convey how very sad I am for you and your family at the loss of your beautiful girl Aillidh. She fought so hard to stay and was a true inspiration to all of us here.

Aillidh, God speed sweetheart. Its a wonderful journey from the old world to the new. You will always be remembered with thoughts of pride and love.

I'm so sorry for your loss - what a heartbreaking thing, to experience the death of your own child. Hope you are all staying strong and getting plenty of real-life support too Sad

MrsRhettButler · 08/07/2012 05:04

Oh no oh no, so terribly sad, ExPat I'm still praying for your family, I'm praying for God to give you strength to get through this devastating time.

Allidh darling, you fought so hard you were amazing, God has you now wrapped in his arms and safe from pain and harm.

This is so sad words are failing me

Love, thoughts and prayers to all involved. X

Truly, truly, crushingly, heartbreakingly, unfair.
No parents should ever have to bury their child, and my heart, love, best wishes and symparty goes out to Expat and her Husband.
Nothing anyone can say will help right now, but rest assured that each and every poster here, has their arms around you in spirit, and wishes that they could ease your burden.
Draw closer as a family, take care of each other, our thoughts go with you.

Little Ailidh, rest now, your struggles are over. Be at peace. I never met you, but you have touched my heart with your courage and bravery.

Olbasoil · 08/07/2012 05:17

One day -

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

With love

AllOverIt · 08/07/2012 05:18

So, so sorry for your loss. Sad

Boilerwoman · 08/07/2012 05:21

God speed Ailidh.

Much love and strength to Leigh, Andrew and the family in the days to come.

Devastating and utterly unfair.

LottieJenkins · 08/07/2012 05:31

Sending my love to expat. The poem below means a lot to me and i thought i would put it on here to remember Aillidh..........Sad

Gone Too Soon :

This was a life that had hardly begun
No time to find your place in the sun
No time to do all you could have done
But we loved you enough for a lifetime.

No time to enjoy the world and its wealth
No time to take life down from the shelf
No time to sing the song of yourself
Though you had enough love for a lifetime.

Those who live long endure sadness and tears
But you'll never suffer the sorrowing years
No betrayal, no anger, no hatred, no fears
Just love , only love , in your lifetime

Gone Too Soon by Mary Yarnall

Expat and all Aillidh's family and friends... I am so, so sorry. I can't find adequate words. Just standing beside you in the conviction that Aillidh is now safe with Jesus and beyond all suffering. She seemed such a beautiful girl.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of praying for her. I'm praying still...

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you."
