Aillidh Christine Kinnaird died of complications from treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia at around 11.30 on 8 July 2012. She was surrounded by family and friends and most of all, love.

I have cried more tears over you Aillidh than I can remember having cried in a long time.

You fought so hard, you touched so many of us who didn't know you and have only spoken to your mum on an Internet forum. I have just gone and picked my son up from his cot and gave him a huge hug through my tears.

I know this is pointlessly silly, but should it be the 7th July, not the 8th? I know it's the 8th now, but 11:30 would have been last night, wouldn't it?
So pointlessly minor but I'd like to remember it on the right day, iyswim :(

Me and some friends joined the bone marrow register because of brave, beautiful Aillidh. I am going to spend so much time getting others to, in her memory-feels like it's a good legacy.

Leigh, DH and beautiful children-I am so so sorry. Thank you for allowing us in to your lives, you have raised so much awareness amongst so many and should be very proud of that. Xx
