Aillidh Christine Kinnaird died of complications from treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia at around 11.30 on 8 July 2012. She was surrounded by family and friends and most of all, love.

Words are utterly inadequate. So sorry.

I don't know you, expat, but I've followed Aillidh's story. I can't tell you
how sorry I am. Words can't help, I know, but I am so very very sorry. Thinking of you all. I hope you will always be proud to have had her as your daughter. Sending very unmumsnetty hugs.

Zero, I just said the same thing on the other thread. I am home alone and properly crying. And I have never met any of expat's family, so it does feel like being a fraud somehow. But I think it just showed how much Aillidh touched all our lives.
