"it" not "i"

eefs · 18/01/2006 16:23

LOL at a countess shouting "minging" at her PC in regular intervals.

Not very countess-y now is it?

Bozza · 18/01/2006 16:30

No I think the countess would class that as minging. We are having leftover pot roasted brisket and veg. However I have omitted to do anything about a carb element. So will have to see what I can persuade DH to do, depending what time he is home. Will aim for potatoes, chopped and sprinkled with olive oil and black pepper and roasted but might end up with oven chips. Will ring him now.

Bozza · 18/01/2006 16:31

Poo. He has not answered. Hmm it might end up being bread and butter at this rate.

moondog · 18/01/2006 22:04

Major ming alert!!

Easy is having gravy granules.
Jeez that stuff is freeze dried rat shit.

I have already explained the art of making gravy (or rather a sexy little jus) if not having a roast but don't think it is necessary with TITH (were the sausages mingers too?? Huh? Huh?)
How about mustard???

Meanoldmummy · 19/01/2006 08:27

gravy granule do bear a startling resemblance to rat droppings. I know this because they regularly turned up in the bran flakes at school...maybe it was one of the dinner ladies having a laugh with some gravy granules!!!

Now muesli...that is freeze-dried vomit. And porridge is pureed maggots. Breakfast is a tricky meal, in fact. What's everyone having??

Bozza · 19/01/2006 08:38

Well he did roast some potatoes in the end. So not minging.

Moondog was it on my thread that you explained your sexy little jus? You will be relieved to hear that we had proper gravy to go with our leftover meat last night.

moondog · 19/01/2006 21:13

Ooh very crafty bozza!

I'm sorry MOM????
How can you cast aspersions on muesli??
I will be sending you a sample of my delicious and nutritious home made stuff forthwith and you will eat your words, girl!!

Meanoldmummy · 19/01/2006 22:00

I'd rather eat hamster food

pinkandsparkly · 20/01/2006 00:06

tonights dinner- home made beef burgers (nuked from night before) slapped between hefty wadges of baker fresh WHITE bread with lashings of tomato ketchup, washed down with glass off been-knocking-around-for-a-few-hours- diet coke

FOLLOWED BY.....

Half a big bag of minstrals left over from the cinema yesterday, some of them were a bit melted and resembled squashed snails.

Yum

Regurgitated salmon is not good.
Bloody hell pas,had to read that with my eyes half shut....

Passionflower · 20/01/2006 13:15

DD's 2 & 3 and I had BLT (very good bacon from proper butcher). Not minging but not cordon bleu.

Am trying out duck liver pasta sauce a la nigella for their tea. DD2 will doubtless think it minging but I think DD's 1 & 2 will like it.

Meanoldmummy · 20/01/2006 13:36

I am eating my delightful lunch. Crap sarnies again, this time with Somerfield own brand sunflower pread and....wait for it.....Shippams Salmon Paste!!! Fishglue, basically. But I can't be arsed to load the kids up and go shopping. And I am hungry.

Sherbert37 · 20/01/2006 13:53

Value Tesco cheese and tomato pizza which is bare in places - may add a bit more cheese and force feed veg to up the nutrition. It was reduced to 59p yesterday and will do my 3 nicely (they complain if I serve posh pizzas).

moondog · 20/01/2006 14:31

lol at fishglue.
Fish snot even???

Ha!

As predicted DD's 2 & 3 scoffing. DD2 yet to put any in her mouth.

Ok with much drama the first mouthful has gone in...

Meanoldmummy · 20/01/2006 17:50

Passionflower...cultivate the "Face? Bovvered?" approach!!! It was the only thing that worked on DS1!!

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 20/01/2006 17:54

Homemade Vegetable Soup (with a chicken stock made from the carcass from the chicken earlier in the week). Got celery, carrots, beans, cabbage, potato, mushrooms and brocolli in it

Passionflower · 20/01/2006 17:58

She is now on third mouthful, if she had till 9pm she might even manage the lot .

Passionflower · 20/01/2006 18:15

Ok, tonight we have a grand total of 5 mouthfuls.

This is actually quite impressive for DD2 wasn't expecting her to try it.

Meanoldmummy · 20/01/2006 18:17

5 mouthfuls is impressive!! You can now say she has "eaten" that meal!!! I have had so many evenings with DS1 where every pea is cause for celebration. The little bu66er knows it gets to me!!!

Bozza · 20/01/2006 21:53

Well we had peppered pork steak (peppered by the butcher), mash, cabbage and sauteed leeks.

..... With instant gravy. Again.

HeyBaby · 20/01/2006 22:01

Just had all day breakfast fry up for dinner two days in a row ...... My DH suggested we have white wine with it tonight to celebrate it being Friday! Drew the line at that and just had a cup of tea ....
