I don't understand people who mix the jam in and make the whole thing go pink. Why dilute the pleasure so you can only attain a low level of ecstasy but for a longer time? Personally I like to "do my time" eating the plain semolina/rice pudding while knowing that the jam is sitting waiting in the middle like a big unadulterated juicy red jewel. Then when I've excised all the boring stuff from round the edge I eat the whole lump in one big orgasmic sweet blast of gorgeousness. Heroin can't possibly be better than that

Tanzie · 21/01/2006 22:22

Ooh yes, potato croquettes. Bring them on.

Meanoldmummy · 22/01/2006 01:01

potato croquettes are OK until you soak them in gravy. Then they go flaccid and sort of ulcerate. It's gross.

What is this national craze for Not Foodles? I don't understand. They taste like salted sawdust. And they stink

@ Not Foodles...love it! We're having a roast tonight but, as I'm cooking it and am in "idle cow" mode a Pot Noodle sounds fab atm.

mazzystar · 22/01/2006 16:30

i love them because they are so grotty

Meanoldmummy · 22/01/2006 17:49

They are only fit for emptying over Mark Oaten's chest - less of a health hazard than sh*t, but probably revolting and smelly enough to float his boat

Misspiggy · 22/01/2006 18:00

Ok MOM...after picturing Mark Oaten with Pot Noodle smeared on his chest and a sickly grin on his face, a Pot Noodle for dinner has lost some of it's appeal and roast is looking good again!

PeachyClair · 22/01/2006 18:29

We had a roast for lunch ( OOh I'm coming over all Anthea Turner), but for tea we had:

peanut butter on toast

Chocolate bread and butter pudding, made with only sugar, lactose free milk, bread (organic, but that was a coincidence, drinking choc and eggs), and apples with meringue topping.

Sugar overload.

DH has made broccoli casserole. I may have to sneak out to the chippy in protest.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2006 16:51

alicatsg · 24/01/2006 17:24

broccoli casserole - broccoli chopped up with tinned tomatoes and a bit of stock. Prob vvv healthy but tastes like broccoli in tomato sauce and I'm iffy about broccoli at the best of times.
