foxinsocks · 17/01/2006 17:06

how do they keep the mince fresh in a tin? Is it in some sort of sauce already?

I bet that cow was last alive many years ago.

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 17/01/2006 17:06

oh and as I've got LOADS of the (non-organic, non-free range - frozen) chicken left from last night I'll be putting some of that on too

Enid · 17/01/2006 17:07

the steak and blue vinny cheese is lush

Enid · 17/01/2006 17:07

cant believe dd1 is chucking me off pc

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 17/01/2006 17:07

oh and I forgot to mention the bettabuy (value) cheese going on the pizza as well - does that give you enough to work with

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:08

NotActuallyAMum · 17/01/2006 17:08

foxinsocks I didn't think about how it stays fresh??!! I think it's minced beef anyway, this is making me wonder now......

Enid · 17/01/2006 17:08

(it is old school rubbers cd)

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 17/01/2006 17:09

no no no - not paying £1 for mozzarella for one meal - I buy a huge block of value cheddar for £3 and it lasts the week for meals, sandwiches and snacks

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:09

Enid, but free and minging, and frankly I can't be arsed to cook tonight.

Cooked lamb in chili sauce last night....rather scrummy.

Scrummy one night, scummy the next!

expatinscotland · 17/01/2006 17:09

pizza hut's NOT mingin'. now domino's, that's mingin'!

brits can't do pizza as it is. nothing like papa johns.

Feistybird · 17/01/2006 17:09

LAST night, I had breaded fish and steak chips and peas (all freezer fodder) smothered in ketchup, vinegar and tartare.

How's that

PiccadillyCircus · 17/01/2006 17:09

Not sure yet - DH is out tonight and I am useless cook.

Might have fishfingers

NotActuallyAMum · 17/01/2006 17:10

lol CD

I'll still eat it if it tastes OK

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:10

Ahem we have a Papa John's up the road

OP posts:
melrose · 17/01/2006 17:10

I was making chorizo chowder, new recipe and sounds yum, but just read about egg and chips and my mouth is watering.....has to be my all timme favourite meal and what DH cooks me if I get in really late and am really tired

Blandmum · 17/01/2006 17:10

Expat....we have a papa Johns near us! I almost have it on speed dial!

Bozza · 17/01/2006 17:10

countess dracula - you are showing your aristocratic tendencies as I'm sure you realise. The cheese will be "cheese" or at best "cheddar".

Enid DS (4) is forever chucking me off the PC. Most irritating.

puff · 17/01/2006 17:11

No I'm not, but continue to hanker after Findus crispy pancakes (cheese filled), many years after eating them (used to live on them as a student).

expatinscotland · 17/01/2006 17:11

Yeah but it tastes pants here. It's not the same.

. . . ah, for a real ChiTown pizza . . .

Mmmmm.

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:11

Feistybird, Surf'n'Turf... well, not sure. Was the steak good quality that you froze or slabs of uncuttable nastiness that you bought pre frozen?
