When I was younger and shared a flat with my friend we regularly had enough money to either eat properly or buy fags ang go out drinking. Fags and drink always won. We ate lots of minging dinners then.

best pizza I ever had was freshed baked in proper stone ovens in a shop called Da Guido's in Harare, Zimbabwe - fantastic pizza's - and went down really well with a bottle of cheap zimbabwean plonk LOL.

right oven should be about hot enough now - off to put my homemade pizza dough (using value butter ) in the oven with value tomatoes, cheese and ham, and some battery farmed chicken, morrisons mushrooms and market onions

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 17/01/2006 17:15

oh forgot the value milk powder inthe pizza dough.

Sainsbury's 'Taste The Difference' Fish Pie probably with some broccoli. Generally we eat whatever our nanny has cooked for the DDs (fortunately their tastes extend to beef casserole, Thai green curry, lamb hotpot etc.) but tonight she's cooking macaroni cheese which DH regards as 'food of the devil', so we get said Fish Pie. I've eaten it before and I wouldn't descibe it as 'minging'....

foxinsocks · 17/01/2006 17:17

have just checked the sausages we are all having tonight and it says they are filled into 'natural sheep's casings' eewww (bet that means intestines)

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:17

fox - that's why I don't read the labels - the only frozen meat I buy is chickens (because the fresh ones don't have the giblets and I need them to make a good stock) and all my fruit and veg are fresh. Other stuff - well I just don't read the labels so I don't need to worry - I know I cook all my food from scratch so it's nutrious.......even if some of it is full of cr*p LOL.

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:18

JG you - fine
kids - minging - give them spag bol fgs!

OP posts:
JenumGeranium · 17/01/2006 17:19

Nah they're only kids! They dont care!

Issymum · 17/01/2006 17:20

Exactly CD. And I need to know - is the fish pie minging or has it just scraped through to 'OK if you have to'?

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 17/01/2006 17:20

exactly - give em the decent proper food

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:20

No but they will when they are 18 and 20 stone because they got into bad habits....

foxinsocks · 17/01/2006 17:20

normally get sausages from sainsburys but passed a tesco express and saw they were on special - first time we've tried tesco's sausages. I'm sure sainsburys ones were cased in something that sounded nicer than sheep's bits .

JenumGeranium · 17/01/2006 17:20

They wont eat it - honestly!

I only wish they would! Bloody fussy eaters my two!
Dont know where they get it from - me and DH eat most food!

Hattie05 · 17/01/2006 17:21

I just popped on MN before starting on my dinner (hadn't decided what but something to do with chicken breasts).

And i'm feeling so lazy but so hungry, the words Pizza printed in a few peoples posts have made me decide to order in a yummy pizza instead!

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 17/01/2006 17:22

they will if you don't offer them anything else. DS1 started to get like that when he little. We went for a week where he ate his lunch and breakfast ok - but wouldn't eat his dinner (when we gave him what we were eating) after about a week he realised it was that or nothing - and started eating it - will now eat anything.

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 17:22

Hmmm not sure

Just googled it, has salmon in it which will be farmed and have two heads and lice and ticks and be flabby so .....minging sorry
