We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

oh and don't worry about names being overly popular - if its a nice name, its a nice name end of story.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 10:14

Eliza
Victoria (but never ever shorten it to Vikki)

Enid · 02/01/2006 10:14

lizzie
and vicky

immediatement

I like Elizabeth

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 10:17

My friend is a Victoria and I refuse to call her Vikki/Vicky/Vicki.
She has always been/will be Tora to me.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 10:18

Ds3 would have been Eliza
(Liza for short...pronounced Li-zer not Le-zer)

Beetrootoyourself · 02/01/2006 11:00

Mary is a gorgeous name.

Beetrootoyourself · 02/01/2006 11:02

I was going to call dd Treasure but dh wouldnt let me

laughinglil · 02/01/2006 11:41

how about a remake of a traditional name such as instead of louise , louisa?

thecattleareALOHing · 02/01/2006 11:43

Enid, my posh Russian friend is called Sasha - short for AlexandrA which is definitely very much a feminine and a tradtional name - as in the Empress.

Saskia is nice IMO. Sassy is a cute short form. Dd is Cece - Sessy - for short.

Nina was a big contender for us. Means little girl which is sweet.

LilacBump · 02/01/2006 11:43

Ellen

thecattleareALOHing · 02/01/2006 11:44

I do like Lulu as a short form of Louise. Quite trendy but cute IMO.
I like Stella too despite not much caring for Ms McCartney.

Miaou · 02/01/2006 11:45

I think Georgia/Georgina goes nicely with Charlotte/Lottie. As does Harriet.

harpsichordcarrier · 02/01/2006 11:47

yes Enid Sasha is the shortened form of Alexander OR Alexandra so boy or girl

Sidonie · 02/01/2006 12:42

How about Lexie - Alexandra/Alexandria

Blandmum · 02/01/2006 12:47

Nice to see that my name and both dds names have been approved of!

Remember that people will have to say it out loud in school...Glad your dh blocked Treasure Beetroot, I'm sure she would have been your wonderful little Treasure, but it would have been a hard one to read in regestration every say . But then you like Mary as well and I have always hated it (my middle name BTW), so I guess we just dont agree on names

loobywoof · 02/01/2006 13:31

Someone suggested Anya earlier. Don't do it!! There's a new contraceptive pill coming out and that's what it is going to be called!! There seems to be a trend to name them with girly names now (Yasmin etc) what was wrong with microgynon and ovranette?

Nbg · 02/01/2006 13:46

I like Esme too Pruni.

I have a few names I like atm. 2 I really like are Celeste and Ophelia.

thecattleareALOHing · 02/01/2006 15:05

I like Celeste too. My friend's little girl is called that.

motherinferior · 02/01/2006 15:15

Celeste reminds me of Babar and Celeste. I still like Saskia. And Nina.

PeachyClair · 02/01/2006 15:17

Sapphire and Harmony are on my wish list, DS2 was supposed to be Aisha and DS3 Katie (DS1 was bethany but that turned into a corrie brat name- yuck).

Also like Amber but couldn't use it myself (altho that would depend on how horrid the PG was- Amber Peach, what a fab punishment )

OK, starting to like MAber now.... perhaps Dh better get a vasectomy
