We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

I love Esme; couldn't have Marion as it's the MIL's name and the poor child would be jinxed. I like Livia as opposed to Olivia and Matilda/Tilly is very pretty as well.

thecattleareALOHing · 02/01/2006 15:34

I like Barbar and Celeste! Wouldn't actually call a boy Barbar though

harpsichordcarrier · 02/01/2006 15:35

Matilda is very lovely
at Virginia being called Vagina. yes that IS what would have happened at my school anyway

MistletAero · 02/01/2006 15:50

Anyone suggested Elspeth yet? Think it's very pretty and sounds nice with Lottie too.

Thomcat - we also have a Lottie and called our second dd Kezia, which is unusual but pretty... well, I think it is anyway

Meanoldmummy · 02/01/2006 16:36

Kezia/Keziah is beautiful I think, it means "cinnamon flower".

I like:

Scarlett
Roisin (pronounced Rosheen)
Philomena (Pippa and Lottie)
Josephine
Madeleine (Maddy & Lottie)
Harriet (Hattie and Lottie!)
Tamara (Tammy and Lottie)

...and hundreds more!!! I am so obsessed with babies' names I'm even tempted to have more children just so I can go on thinking up names

Twiglett · 02/01/2006 16:44

Aloha .. you like Barbar .. what? for a human child?

Tamara - Tampon??!? A bit tenuous!!

Mind you I don't like Alice because I always read ot as "A - lice" !! Sorry anyone called Alice! Or Tamara for that matter.

BARBAR?!?!?!??!?!?!? Perhaps he would be the "black sheep" of the family, arf arf!!

DH says how about Dorothy, then you could have Lottie and Dottie. But I don't take any notice of him so no reason why you should

harpsichordcarrier · 02/01/2006 16:56

Hausfrau at tampon
I was thinking of Tamsin for dd2 (or dd3....?) but Maybe Not

what about Lola?

hunkermunker · 02/01/2006 16:57

There was a Tamsin at our school who was called Tampon

WideWebWitch · 02/01/2006 16:58

harpsichordcarrier · 02/01/2006 16:59

PrincessPeaHead · 02/01/2006 17:12

we had a girl at school called Katie Letts and the way to make her cry was to call her Lily.

Lily Letts.... get it.... !!

unicorn · 02/01/2006 17:16

Anyone suggested Enid Blyton type names...

Daryl,
Felicity,
Alicia

Georgina
Henrietta (was that one?)

collision · 02/01/2006 17:18

Gwendoline was another Unicorn!!

mamandelion · 02/01/2006 17:34

My DP loved Saskia too. (we ended up having a boy though and it didn't really suit him). Other names we loved were Saffron, Jana (pronounced Yarna) and Lola. I also really like Elsie, Miriam and Maelle (pron My Elle).

PrincessPeaHead · 02/01/2006 17:35

unicorn can't believe you forgot gwendolyn mary lacey! you also forgot Belinda (sporty one) and wasn't there a wihelmina (now that is a BAD NAME)

mamandelion · 02/01/2006 17:36

oh and Rowan.

hunkermunker · 02/01/2006 17:37

There was a Sadie, wasn't there? Showy American girl who only lasted one term (book)?

dinny · 02/01/2006 17:40
