We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

The normal shortening of Anastasia (ie the Russian one) is Asya - pronounced Assia.
I like Evangeline, but then I really loved Angelica.

collision · 08/01/2006 11:19

Evangeline is a lovely name. And Beatrice.

Reminds me of House of Eliott.

Aloha · 08/01/2006 11:21

Are you completely off Amelie now?

Do like Polly! But then I've been reading Clever Polly and the stupid Wolf and am in love with both Polly and the wolf.

I love the wolf

he talks like Baldrick in our house

Aloha · 08/01/2006 12:12

I adore the wolf. He is a wonderful mixture of hope and despair and so, so funny. Love his jaundiced view of the world. And Polly is perfect.
I also love the fact that he passes so well as a human. That really amuses me.

Enid · 08/01/2006 12:13

yes his over excitement followed by despair at his own stupidity

Polly lets him down so gently!

Enid · 08/01/2006 12:15

I know, lovely blend of kindness and patronising manner that I try to utilise in my life as mother

Aloha · 08/01/2006 12:17

Yes, I can see you being very Polly-esque.

Get a grip, Lockets. If you can't be ar$ed to explain how to pronounce something properly then just say so.
