We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

I just love Lizzie (as in Bennet) (or Dripping) - feisty and sharp but also sweet. Perfect combination.

bubbles2904 · 07/01/2006 09:44

my dd2 is called Mia, i also love Eloise,Saskia and Sienna. My niece is Lauren and she's a little sod. Sorry laurenholly.

TinyGang · 07/01/2006 09:58

Lol over 400 posts on here now! Poor TC - my head would be reeling now in her shoes

Thomcat · 07/01/2006 13:01

PMSL at you lot. Think D and I will sit down over dinner tonight and go through this thread and our books and try and make a decision. God help us.

LOL Soupie, not still not! Aren't we terrible parents. But having said that, met up with my active birth / yoga mums in the week and 3 of them were already regretting / having doubts over the name they had called their DS's. You can't rush these things, but having said that D and I do need to actually do some serious thinking on it asap.

Have a look at the black lab naming thread, TC - you might get some inspiration there, lol!

Tinker · 07/01/2006 17:47

Book teh Registry Office, that'll get you moving. We only decided the middle name when the Registrar asked us what it was to be!

Thomcat · 07/01/2006 17:53

LOL, cheers Jan!!!!!!

Good idea, might book it actually, for the latest date I can , but all the same, booking it is a good idea.

stop thinking about it

call her pickle for a couple of days until something clicks

Turquoise · 07/01/2006 17:58

Don't be rushed into anything TC - I slightly regret my dd's name (Elizabeth) as it just doesn't really seem to suit her. She was Elsie for ages, though most people hated that.
If I had a girl now, I'd be humming over:
Nina
Tess
Violet
Grace (though there are so many of them about)
Mary
Marnie
and I also really like Evie and Saskia.

Aloha · 07/01/2006 18:00

Met such a sweet baby called Iris the other day.

I think Elsie is sweet.

CountessDracula · 07/01/2006 18:02

Elsie is a scullery maid's name though

Turquoise · 07/01/2006 18:09

I love below stairs names, Ruby etc, and old codger names for boys. DD would have been Sebastian but Stan for short if she'd been a boy.

Aloha · 07/01/2006 18:23

posh Elsie

SoupDragon · 07/01/2006 18:26

Not so posh Elsie!

Gem13 · 07/01/2006 18:29

I'm joining the Elizabeth campaign if it gets shortened to Betsy.

I love Betsy but we already have an Elizabeth neice.

Charlotte and Elizabeth - Lottie and Betsy. Ahhh.

Tinker · 07/01/2006 18:31

I've got a shortened Elizabeth (not Betsy) so cack the campaign.

Janh · 07/01/2006 18:31

No, Gem, sorry, it has to be Lottie and Lizzie
