We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

is it ok to have two children with same initial? I already have an Alice

Enid - yes, so long as the names don;t sound too similar.

Enid · 06/01/2006 13:34

Saves on name-tapes Enid.

I think you should give serious consideration to Arabella personally! or Augusta.

MrsBadger · 06/01/2006 13:54

ah, nametapes. This is where middle initials come in:
Make sure one middle name has the same initial as other's first name - fold end of tape under for R.Badger, leave end of tape showing for C.R.Badger. Sneaky!

Janh · 06/01/2006 14:03

Not if they're the same sex, Enid. They will open each others' mail and war will break out.

Janh · 06/01/2006 14:04

OTOH Araminta would be perfect

I like Annie better than Anna (despite the red-haired moppet).

Anna and Elizabeth are both lovely. Quite like Betsy as a pet name.

Kittypickle · 06/01/2006 14:19

Thomcat, I think this name business is one of those things where it gets harder the more you try. Pickle is a great name and will do just fine for now (I have a pickle, a Katherine flavoured one, though she hasn't been called pickle for a few years as she's 7 now. Call your DD Pickle for the moment and I bet that once things are easier all of a sudden something will click.

DS would have been an Anna, Elizabeth or Alice if he was a girl. Don't think we did a very good job of his name and wish we'd spent a bit more time on it instead of rushing.

My dd is Elizabeth, Betsy for short but her bloody schoolfriends have started calling her Izzy, yuk yuk yuk.
