Alrighty then! New rules for Haiku. I will have a go at this, I hope that I will find more great ones when I wake up!
Birth:

Pushing, Reeling, Clutching
Baby in my arms
She is smiling

October:

Pumpkins, apples, and cinnamon
The wind is up
leaves turn brown and crisp

Thankyou Mooma, I've never been in a haiku before

Here's todays:

Night out tomorrow
Rare treat. Have lovely black eye.
Purple eyeshadow?

I feel the black eye needs a note of explanation: headbutting toddler

CountessDracula · 09/10/2003 09:23

Worked till 11
last night, baby woke at 12
Back to bed at 4

marthamoo · 09/10/2003 09:26

Poor Draccy, big hug!
Lack of sleep is real torture.
Sell babe on ebay?

marthamoo · 09/10/2003 09:32

I need willpower.
I could sit here all day long.
Must switch PC off!

[shamelessly resurrecting this thread because I'm bored]

A Haiku A Day
Helps you work, rest and play... YAY!
Or was that Mars bars?

hmb · 24/10/2003 18:03

Helf term is here, yes!
A week without rude children
Except mine, bless them.

GeorginaA · 24/10/2003 18:06

Trying to feel joy
With dirth of activities
And potty training

princesspeahead · 24/10/2003 18:53

sore snatch for princess
sitting in a salty bath
she wonders "why me?"

GeorginaA · 24/10/2003 19:01

poor princesspeahead
you have all my sympathies
hope you get well soon

codswallop · 24/10/2003 19:03

I am sorry but you have to laugh !

You are writing poems about each others infected, well...bits!

Rofl

GeorginaA · 24/10/2003 19:09

Surely poetry
Is for every life aspect
Including one's bits...

princesspeahead · 24/10/2003 19:44

maybe poetry
dignifies my sad ailment
I know, it doesn't

JJ · 24/10/2003 20:08

Codswallop could not
Do a haiku; it's something
She is not bothered

zebra · 24/10/2003 21:17

Deprived of Mumsnet,
Did not have clue what to do,
Must get me a Life.

Janstar · 09/12/2003 08:49

I printed this thread
To take to show my tutor
At poetry class

Back later with verdict

lilibet · 09/12/2003 23:55

What was the verdict?
on our haiku ponderings?
so impressed or not?

Very impressed that you have a poetry tutor Janstar?
do you write?
Who are your favourites?

Forestfly · 09/12/2003 23:59

I forgot this thread
I'm glad it is born again
I enjoy these times

popsycal · 09/12/2003 23:59

did she like the poems?
If not, then what did she say?
Worth hearing or not?

Forestfly · 10/12/2003 00:06

Your class in wonder
Of mumsnets growing talents
I bet the're jealous

lilibet · 10/12/2003 00:11

Forestfly's good son
is in need of a haircut
Where will it all end?

Forestfly · 10/12/2003 00:13

My life is happy
Sometimes i need the man love
i will masturbate

only joking

turnupthebass · 10/12/2003 00:15

bagful of goodies
or go in and just ask him?
you will find some one

lilibet · 10/12/2003 00:17

rabbits can't cut hair
as a temporary thing
they can do just fine!

Forestfly · 10/12/2003 00:18

I will find a man
Just like being so silly
It makes me giggle

lilibet · 10/12/2003 00:20

Glad you are happy
on your own after a split
