Alrighty then! New rules for Haiku. I will have a go at this, I hope that I will find more great ones when I wake up!
Birth:

Pushing, Reeling, Clutching
Baby in my arms
She is smiling

October:

Pumpkins, apples, and cinnamon
The wind is up
leaves turn brown and crisp

Have to prepare for conference call in 30 minutes (darn). Here is a discusting one:

Dreamt my mucus plug
Had slid right down my legging
It was just a dream....

Much as I would like
to stay here and chat all day
I have work to do.

Oh WSM, Jimjams, Northerner and GeorgiaA !! Don't stop now, you are brilliant! Georgia, you have described the first three months of my pregnancy! And I adore the cranberries, almost as much as PostMan Pat--you guys get all of the fun shows and we get all of the violent ones...how does that work out? The only place I can find Dettol around here is the oriental market! I love cleaning my drains with it, that good old hospital smell...
