Welcome aboard.

The first rule of the tea room is - No fisticuffs.
The second rule is - Put the kettle on and lets have a Brew or open a bottle of Wine if its that time of day. Pull a sofa and relax. Parents of one, more (or less) children are welcome to hop on board and chat about anything and nothing. Introduce yourself if new and if you name change give us clue please.

How are all of the poorly people tonight?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/11/2011 19:47

Poorly and in need of distraction! (Oh, and, incoming!)

Bleedin' heck!

CMOTdibbler · 06/11/2011 20:34

I think standing for the H Chorus is because some king stood for it. I know my mum would refuse to stand for it cos she didn't do things just because kingy did. And this was before she was mad Hmm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/11/2011 20:44

Yes, that rings true, Cmot. I remember being told the story when we performed the Messiah ::cough:: years ago, but had forgotten the details.

Ah, good old Wiki.

Scout19075 · 06/11/2011 22:52

Right, who's going to do my Sunday night ironing for me? I pay in Wine.

Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 08:01

Good morning all. Brew?

I have to say, Toddler's grandmothers are the best. Grin NanaScout bought him a scooter over the weekend and GrandmomScout bought him a camera this weekend. Both are things we (MrScout and I) thought he should have at some point in the coming year. I think GrandmomScout is giving TS the camera as part of his birthday present (which means he'll open it on Sunday morning after a (hopefully) good night sleep Saturday (we land US time around 8 p.m.) which means we'll see what his holiday looked like to him. Can someone convince me I want to go out tonight?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 07/11/2011 20:12

Look into my eyes, Scout.

::waves pocket watch to and fro::

::speaks in mesmerising voice::

You want to go out tonight. You want to go out tonight. You really want to go out tonight.

Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 20:33

Nope, didn't work.

That's okay, MrScout got home a little late and has left again he's walking 3/4 of the way across down in the drizzle to collect the clunker other car from the garage so he can go to work tomorrow and I can have the carseat-- back.

Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 20:42

How are you feeling, Maud?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 07/11/2011 20:49

Truthfully? I feel like death warmed up. There's no sign of the infection clearing up and I'm exhausted by the incessant coughing and lack of sleep. I need some distraction.

!
Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 20:55

Would going to the pub with a bunch of Guiders be enough of a distraction for you?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 07/11/2011 20:57

Hmm. Could be. Are they good company?

Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 20:59

Mostly. And there will be a newborn (late August) there to cuddle.

Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 21:00

Well, I assume the baby would be there. I know when TS was that new I didn't go to the pub without him. Then again, I was EBF and couldn't express enough....

UniS · 07/11/2011 21:14

did you go?

weekend over, I'm back.
This week is kinda busy too. My new career as a temporary TA starts on Thursday!! eekkk. just a morning. Also PAT testing for a couple of customers and doing a condition report on some equipment in the hope of gaining another customer.

Happy Birthday Fine lad.

Maud, sorry that you're not feeling better - that doesn't sound good at all.

Scout - GPs sound fab! How many more sleeps is it until you go?

Good luck on Thursday Unis!

Scout19075 · 07/11/2011 23:12

Well, I went. Sometimes I wonder why I do.

Fingers crossed for Thursday, UniS.

Virtual baby was real baby (10.5 weeks old). Still tiny.

We leave on Saturday afternoon, bean. YAY!

mistlethrush · 08/11/2011 10:01

I'm back....

Sorry for absense - dodgy internet connection whilst at my parents and then lack of time and thread not on 'my threads'....

Maud - sorry to hear you're not well - I have had coughs that have hung around for ages, and the Dr never has an issue with me returning to wheeze at them, even if they can only give me sympathy - but they eventually do send for chest x-ray....

Well, we missed meeting CMot - mc would like to try ot meet up another time CMot, not quite sure how the logistics of that will work. Despite not meeting CMot and boy, we did have a good day at legoland.

I was then extremely embarrassed by mc's behaviour when we met Donki. However, I think it was partly a reaction to coming back home and facing school starting again - now he's back at school sanity seems to have returned to some degree at least.

Hope travelling goes well for those travelling soon.,.
