Welcome aboard.

The first rule of the tea room is - No fisticuffs.
The second rule is - Put the kettle on and lets have a Brew or open a bottle of Wine if its that time of day. Pull a sofa and relax. Parents of one, more (or less) children are welcome to hop on board and chat about anything and nothing. Introduce yourself if new and if you name change give us clue please.

We really enjoyed CWACOM when we saw it.

I don't remember hearing that song before, UniS. It's beautiful - is it part of your repertoire?

::Hoping UniH didn't bring you back a Pacific fish as a souvenir::

beanandspud · 20/11/2011 23:02

Maud - Disappointed! I really did want Robbie Savage to go - I find him very, very irritating. I am still rooting for Jason though.

Unis - my Christmas CD goes in the car next weekend but that's the extent of my musical 'involvement'. I sing extremely loudly when no one is within hearing distance!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/11/2011 23:08

No, Russell had to go. It's great fun watching him but it wouldn't be right for someone who's a much better dancer - which they all are now - to go so that he could stay. Poor old Jason with his mistake. I'd like to dance with Bruno.

beanandspud · 20/11/2011 23:21

I know, I know... I would have just kept him for One More Week and got rid of Mr Savage!

I do often wish that there was an opportunity to do an amateur Strictly crash course - I think it's just what I need to drop a couple of dress sizes!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/11/2011 23:26

Nah, I quite like Mr Savage. He's made huge progress. An amateur Strictly course would be fabulous, although I realise that the telly contestants do it as virtually a full-time job.

Scout19075 · 20/11/2011 23:32

I once took a dance class that covered the dances in Strictly -- years ago but post uni. Took it as a once-a-week over several weeks adult ed course. Fabulous fun. I'd love to take one again in the UK but given MrScout's schedule I don't think I can.

One Migraine, free to a good home. I hate them.

So many places here are having pre-Thanksgiving/Black Friday sales -- it's fabulous. We got Toddler "'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving" book today.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/11/2011 23:35

Hey Scout! I was just thinking of you. Have you seen this clip? And there's going to be a new Muppet movie.

::All is right with the world emoticon::

Boo to the migraine.

Scout19075 · 20/11/2011 23:39

Thanks Maud! Grin The Muppets opens here this week sometime. So tempted to go to a matinee (solo) to see it.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/11/2011 23:44

Obviously I'm the last person in the world to know about the Muppets movie!

Scout19075 · 20/11/2011 23:47

The new Muppets movie is heavily postered here. I'm excited about it. Don't think I can get MrScout to go with me (he'll go to some things with me but doesn't "get" The Muppets) and TS is too little for the cinema. Mom might go with me (just like when I was a young'un).

Is there a comfy sofa on this barge? Preferably with a hot water bottle and warm blanket? Bad cramps. Not happy. They lied to me. "Oh, you'll never have a menstrual cramp again after you have a baby!". Liars, all of them. I'd like to kick them, whoever "they" are.
Miserable. Hmmmph!

Thumbwitch · 21/11/2011 07:10

I love the Muppets. Always have, always will Grin

amberlight · 21/11/2011 07:40

Brew and breakfast a la barge available for all.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 21/11/2011 09:15

Thanks for the Brew, Amber!

These aren't very effective Thanks as pain relief, but have them anyway, JM!

UniS · 21/11/2011 09:55

I did have an idea for the next tea room, but then I woke up and forgot it. shucks, story of my dream life.

It def needs to have a roaring fire for roasting chestnuts on ( and making smores) So I guess that rules out an igloo or a tree house.

Good Morning!

Thank you for Brew. Amber and JM - hope you are both ok.

I still feel a bit like a tearoom newbie so I'm not sure where we have been before. How about a cosy log cabin in snowy Scandinavia with log fires, big rugs, lots of books, schnaps, and some skiing for those active tearoomers?

beanandspud · 21/11/2011 10:33

[or even schnapps?]

UniS · 21/11/2011 11:24

I'm liking teh idea of schnaps

Thumbwitch · 21/11/2011 12:33

Oh yes, back to the log cabin, with the outdoor spa and hot water geysers! It was lovely there, especially for Christmas because the NMBs can decorate the very tall Scandinavian pine trees outside, and reindeer trot across the back paddock.

beanandspud · 21/11/2011 13:07

I'll set it up.... better start packing!!!

mistlethrush · 21/11/2011 15:16

Return visit to the log cabin sounds good. Whether we'll manage to make it last round until Christmas is questionable though! Based on their noteable absence, I think the bishops might have made it there in the advance party.

Back from rehearsal weekend - mc took ages to fall asleep in the car (unusually) so he was a bit tired this morning - quick tea and early to bed tonight. He also came off his scooter - mind you, at the speed he's been roaring down the pavement near my parents' on it, I'm surprised he wasn't more damaged - just a bit of a grazed knee - at the moment he just seems to bounce, long may it continue!

beanandspud · 21/11/2011 16:32

Here we are... Log Cabin

I took the liberty of moving us before we ran out of space. Back later!
