Didn't there used to be a Gigs thread?

Anyway, just sorted tickets etc for Masta Ace + Live Band (!) at the Jazz Cafe nexrt month. Very excited about that! No late-night train to get home from Euston, sadly, means an overnight London stay, though. Resigning myself to being the oldest in the audience by some distance 😃, but I can live with that.

I've got The Strokes and The Wonder Stuff with Inspiral Carpets this week. 6 gigs in November: Fontaines DC, Yard Act, Bleachers, Teenage Fan Club, WH Lung and Goodbye Mr MacKenzie. The Strokes will be my 21st gig of the year.

@Geeseofbeverlyroad saw the wonderstuff last year in Birmingham. Would have loved to see them this year but can’t make it work. Hopefully next year 🤞

I saw them at Shepherds Bush on the same mini tour - such great fun! Had many bruises from moshing

Think I’m going to book the Jesus and Mary chain in January. I mean we weren’t supposed to be booking anything else…

I love a good gig. Music helps me through the long winters!
This year I’ve seen the Manics, Garbage, Placebo, The Pixies, Lewis Capaldi, ASAP Rocky, the Levellers, Bon Jovi and the Cureheads (cure cover band) a couple of times.
I’ve got The Wedding Present on Friday. I was due to go to the Levellers again but that situationship has abruptly ended and I’m struggling to get a ticket so feeling a bit gutted. I’m also looking at Manics again with Suede and FatBoy Slim. Plus Morrissey in December. TJAMC in January.
I usually go alone, sometimes with my daughter or a friend. ASAP Rocky with my son. But will check out gig buddies as good to have friends

When I hooked up over Tinder with my partner a couple of years ago, definitely one of the things that attracted me to him was his love of live music. He's a 6 Music listener and has introduced me to so many new bands. Which I love because I was a bit stuck in my old music. And they're all getting scarily old bless them. So nice to see young fresh bands as well as the old favourites.

The Reytons tomorrow, Alex Spencer is support who is also excellent so looking forward to seeing him. Then it’s pretty much a gig a week til Christmas

6music is great. It’s because of that I’m going to see Get Down Services next month.

Desperately need to put a few more gigs in the calendar pronto though.

Steve Hackett was brilliant in Gateshead last week. Did Supper's Ready which was amazing as well as his own stuff and other older Genesis. DD got to meet Nad Sylvan afterwards which really made her night.

Saw TWP in Glasgow last week, also earlier this year. Fabulous as always, love the Gedge bants.
