  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try?

*The Tom Yum, salmon Bahia, vegetable koshari

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

My little boy seemed to really like the flavours of these, particularly the salmon one. It was nice giving him some different spiced things that I wouldn’t probably have tried him with yet. They all tasted good and weren’t too overpowering but different enough for babies to enjoy.

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

I like the packaging prints and the colours used on the pouches. I’m not sure it would stand out that much against other brands in a supermarket though as most other brands use similar coloured products.

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

Perhaps some exotic fruity flavours to give some sweeter things to try other than savoury flavours. I would try anything though as I like how unusual the pouches are.

Korma, Tom Yum and Salmon Bahia

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

My son enjoyed all of the pouches. It ass so nice to see him eat dishes that I wouldn't have been able to prepare for him. I had a look online and what Tom Yum and Bahia are as I hadn't heard of them. I love that they are new interesting flavours. Whilst I love the other ranges available too they tend to be very much the same and don't offer a lot of different flavours.

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

The packaging was amazing. So bright and colourful. It would certainly catch my eye in a supermarket. It would then bring me to read the flavours and most certainly buy them to give my little one something new to try.

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

We would love to see some Chinese and Caribbean flavours added to this group of dishes:)

  1. Korma, Tom yum and bahia.
  2. Baby is 13 months and usually would manage about half a pouch with finger foods and then get fed up. She absolutely devoured every one of these. Her face lit up as she was eating. She thourghly enjoyed everyone
  3. Love the packaging colours. It would absolutely stand out to me next to others.
  4. I would be happy and confident to try and new flavours from this range. Toddler inspired dishes would be fantastic to see as well as we are almost beyond puree stage, but the flavour aspect was fantastic.

1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try?
Laksa, Korma, Bahia

2. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?
My 8 month old will normally eat a whole jar/pouch but unfortunately didn’t really like any of these and didn’t finish any of the pouches. That may be due to individual taste rather than any problem with the product though! They were a bit too smooth for him, he prefers the thicker purées with chunks in. I liked the fact that they were different flavours to the standard baby food options and gave him the opportunity to taste something different to what I would cook at home.

3. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?
I thought the design was ok but wouldn’t necessarily stand out on a shelf next to other pouches like Ella’s Kitchen etc. I probably wouldn’t have bought them if I’d seen them especially at the price suggested. I do generally prefer jars to pouches as they can be recycled.

4. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?
More veggie options, paneer biryani, veg fajita / enchilada etc

  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try? Bahia stew, Vegetable Sambar and Tom Yum
  2. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried? I liked that some of the meals were ones that I had never heard of and that they included spices.
  3. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket? I liked the packaging - it was cute and colourful. It would stand out on a shelf because of the picture of babies - other brands mostly have pictures of food. I think the fact it’s organic should be highlighted more
  4. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range? I would love to have more dishes I haven’t heard of before so don’t really have any suggestions!

  2. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried? The flavours were tasty but clearly without salt etc so definitely appropriate. What I liked most was the fact that the salmon had a good amount present compared to others available on the market.
  3. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket? Packaging was nice but I don't think they stand out as much as says Freddie’s but i liked the variety it represented.

  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try?

Salmon Bahia Stew, Vegetable Koshari, Vegetable Sambar
  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

My daughter just polished off the Vegetable Koshari which really surprised me as I do not add many spices in the food. The vegetable sambar was also good. I liked the fact I was able to introduce new flavours to her diet as that’s always a bonus with a fussy eater who tends to throw food around!
  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

I like the packaging, especially the bright colours! That said the packaging also looks bit same-ish to other competing brands so unless it’s sold with some other bright banners (or with endorsement) it doesn’t really stand out.

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

I would say either some middle European inspired dishes would be nice. Also some more vegetarian options.

Thank you for letting me have these pouches for testing, it was good experience.

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

It was nice to see my child enjoying new tastes in an age-appropriate product with no added salt or sugar. I didn't taste these, but they smelled delicious.

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

The packaging was bright and attractive, quite similar to many others so I'm not sure it would necessarily stand out to me. It would be good to know if the packaging is recyclable or sustainable in any way.

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

I'd love to see some Mexican-inspired flavours.

  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try?

Tom Yum, Laksa and Salmon Bahia

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

He was definitely into the laksa the most but enjoyed all of them. I loved that the pouches were aromatic and a nice change from the blander alternatives out there. We like to eat a lot of different cuisines and really want our son to experience all the different flavours, so I was very happy to finally see options like this for babies.
My son eats quite chunky textured meals now, so I would love to see the product range eventually expand for 1-5 year old textured foods as well :).

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

They were colourful and fun, they would definitely stand out.

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

I'd love to see this expand to all sorts of cuisines like Japanese, Korean, more Thai dishes, Mexican etc.

  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try? Vegetable Koshari, Laksa and Tom Yum
  2. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

I liked that they were more flavoursome than many bland pouches. However, he didn't like to eat them as they were - he is nearly 15 months and eats solids well, so I used them as a sauce to mix into rice or have as a dip with pitta bread and he took more then. He doesn't like bland flavours normally so he doesn't like other pouches so it might be that the pouch put him off, but he isn't a massive puree fan. However clearly when used as a side to something he was v into the flavour!
  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket? I like the packaging but I don't think they're significantly different from other pouches available so the flavours would make me choose them rather than the packaging.
  2. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range? I like that they use a variety of spices - just more range of Asian foods would be great.

Thanks!

  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try? Laksa, salmon Bahia and korma
  2. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried? I really liked the variety of flavours and meal options - different to the majority of what’s out there. I feel it’s so important to introduce babies to a wide range of favours from a young age. My son enjoyed the different meals, but he’s 17 months old so the portions weren’t big enough and he’s too old for this type of puréed food. It would be great if they had a meal range for older kids as there is definitely a gap in the market for that sort of thing.
  3. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket? I like how colourful they are - they stand out and it’s easy to differentiate between each flavour. The only downside is the plastic caps and fact the pouches are not recyclable. Sustainability is so important in this day and age so it would be good to see a brand in baby food leading the way on this.
  4. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range? Can’t think of any, but as mentioned would be great to have a range for older kids.

Korma, Laksha, Sambar

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

I liked that the flavours were different from the usual bland baby food flavours.
I like introducing international flavours without the pressure of cooking a new recipe which may be rejected

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

I liked the packaging. It has a matt finish rather than the usual glossy or metallic look pouches and this made it obviously different to other pouches. They were colourful with cheerful designs
The 3 flavours we tried were all illustrated with pictures of white babies, it would be nice to see some diversity to represent the international flavours

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried? The spices, baby food can be extremely bland! These were stand out, in that regard. My baby really enjoyed the flavours.

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket? I like the capped baby pouches as my baby doesn’t eat the full amount in one go. They probably won’t stand out as they are just like other brands - Tesco, Ella’s kitchen - in terms of packing. Nothing revolutionary but handy!

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range? Maybe some foods like shepherds pie or pasta ‘jazzed up’ a bit so that they aren’t as bland. I definitely would buy more.

We tried the korma, salmon tom yum and veg sambar.
My baby liked salmon tom yum the best and didn’t seem to like the korma at all. I liked that the recipes contained interesting spices like our baby has in home cooked food.
The packaging is ok - I like the colours and think it would stand out on the shelf but the name does seem a bit unoriginal. I don’t like that the packet says that it has to be consumed immediately once open - comparable products can usually be kept in the fridge for 24 hours and a pouch of this size would usually be 2 meals for my baby (with finger foods etc).
I’d love to see other cuisines eg Middle Eastern.

  1. Which flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard baby food did you try?

My ds tried the laska , Tom yum and vegetable koshari.

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

These pouches were really popular with my ds and he was really keen for the next spoonful each time. I liked the fact that he was experiencing some new flavours (such as lemongrass) that I don't normally use in my cooking. The aroma, particularly from the laska, was lovely. He was clapping his hands between mouthfuls so I think he really enjoyed them. His favourite was the laksa.

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

The packaging definitely stands out. The bold colours make it appealing.

  1. What other flavours would you like to see in the Oliver’s Cupboard range?

I would love to see the range expanding further. It would be lovely to have a wider range of dishes, potentially incorporating African, Caribbean and South/Central American dishes. It would also be nice to have some more Indian curries (I know there is already a korma). My ds likes a little spice so it would be nice to see some options with a little heat- potentially marketed for slightly older children (12 months) or clearly labelled so it could be gradually introduced.
In addition to when we are on the go, we tend to use fruit pouches as a pudding or snack option, particularly using fruits that can be harder or less cost effective to puree myself (papaya etc). It would be nice to have some exotic fruit options as a naturally sweet option.

  1. What did you and your child like most about the flavours of Oliver’s Cupboard you tried?

It was great to find a baby food with actual taste. I think introducing spices and flavours to young kids is only going to be a good thing and I was pleased to have some in a child friendly form which didn’t involve me slaving over a stove.

  1. What did you think of the packaging of each pouch? Would this stand out to you on a shelf in the supermarket?

I liked the packaging and colours. But I don’t think there was anything about them which made them stand out or would alert me to the fact that these are international recipes and not something that you generally find in baby food form. I think more work could be done to highlight the fact they are not your standard “cottage pie” or “spag Bol” recipes.

More of the same really! Ramen, Katsu, Hoi Sin etc.

We tried the Korma, Laksa and Sambar.

We liked that the flavours aren’t something we would usually use at home so my daughter was able to try something new. They smelled really good, especially the Korma.

The packaging was bright and colourful. It wouldn’t necessarily stand out though as most baby food pouches are bright and colourful.

I would like more of what they are already doing, so more flavours from around the world, rather than the same type supermarkets do. Love

I would like them more if they were able to be opened for 24/48hrs in the fridge.

Thanks for letting us test them.

The packaging was easy to store, kept the product fresh and didn’t take up a lot of room. I think it’s hard to stand out in the baby/childrens food aisle. It would be a product I would take another look at if I was shopping.

More flavours on the spicy side! My little one can’t get enough of flavour! I’d also love to see some older childrens options as we mainly used the pouches as a sauce to add to things as our little one have been following baby led weaning so hasn’t had many pouches.
