I liked how easy they were to use, not adding a million and one other ingredients to make the meal, yet the flavour was great.

We tried the pulled pork and chilli con carne and both made a really tasty dish- this was great because I often struggle to get a punchy flavour in the slow cooker, it often ends up a bit bland.

1. Would you recommend the Homepride Slow Cooker range to others? Why?

Yes definitely the pulled pork in particular, it was so easy to do and the flavour was better than homemade in my opinion, much more intense. I did add the optional brown sugar at the end and it transformed it.

1. Which other flavours of Homepride Slow Cooker Sauces that you would like to see introduced?

With how intense the flavours are, I'd love to see a cream and mustard variety/stroganoff type sauce as they can be hard to get right in the slow cooker. An Italian meatball type sauce would be good too.

Really tasty and very easy to use.

We tried the chicken curry and chilli con carne ones and they were a hit with hungry teenagers.

Very handy for a midweek meal. Great to prep first thing and then to have dinner done when you finish work. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Maybe as a quick alternative to a takeaway or ready meal but they are not as good as home cooking and flavours. But I am married to someone who worked as a cook for a long time.

Non bulky packaging. The fact it was concentrated as slow cookers don't allow for any evaporation a lot of slow cooked meals can be too liquid.

The curry was very mild so the children didn't complain about it being spicy. The beef and ale was quite rich yet inoffensive.

I think I would to anyone that complains of other sauces being more sauce than anything else.

Other curry varietys. Chicken in wine or chicken in mustard. Pork and cider/mustard. Chinese style sauces. Bolognese.

I was asked to try the chili con carne but it wasn't available in store so I got the beef and ale and the curry sauces.

These home pride cooking sauces were so convenient and easy to use. I just put the ingredients and sauces in and let the slow cooker do its job.
All the family liked the two flavours that we tried (Beef and ale and Pulled pork), these were the only ones available in the supermarket. The Beef and ale one was really rich and full of flavour, although I did add some water to make the sauce thinner.
Definitely would recommend these sauces, especially for busy days and a store cupboard staple.
Would love a spicy chicken dish and perhaps a meatball one

I love the concept - these sauces make it that bit easier and quicker to ensure that you have a healthy meal ready in the evening. This is so important in our house because we are all very busy. I often find it really hard to motivate myself to cook 'proper' meals, so these sauces were a godsend.

2. What was your family's favourite thing about the Homepride Slow Cooker Sauces you tried?
We loved the chilli con carne flavour, as we all like chilli in this house! My husband and I like a hotter chilli, but the Homepride version was perfect for the kids, and very tasty.

3. Would you recommend the Homepride Slow Cooker range to others? Why?
Yes definitely, because they are a very useful thing to have in the cupboard for when you know you've got a really long, busy day and you know you won't want to faff about in the kitchen at the end of it!

A creamy white wine one would be nice for chicken.

Yes i would for those who want a more home cooked styled dinner that can be prepared at the start of the day to be cooked throughout the day.

Unsure...maybe slow cooked chicken ones like in wine and leek sauce or something like that.

I was supposed to try beef & ale & pulled pork but my supermarket only stocked beef & ale & chicken curry. We all loved the beef and ale (had this evening as a matter of fact!), the chicken curry was nice but no different to any jar of curry sauce etc that is already on the market so no way would I spend £1.80 on it!

I would if someone wants a lazy meal, but at £1.80 I think it is expensive as all it really was is some spices and tomatoes. I could therefore make the base of a curry for a lot less money.

Very easy. Best thing ever is my slow cooker. Put on first thing in the morning . Takes 5 minutes. Ready for when the kids come home from school. Low in fat too.

My family loved these! So easy to use, adding some great variety to weekday meals! And so easy to add extra ingredients to tailor to individual tastes. Our favourite was the beef and ale 😋! As for other flavours, how about a stew variety? Beef or chicken? Or potentially some different curries? Obviously the milder ones so little ones can enjoy too! Maybe Thai green or red? Would definitely recommend and will use to entertain once we can again x
