The whole family loved the curry one!!! The beef one was nice but not as nice as the curry! Great for speedy meals. Good price would definitely buy again!

It was easy and good flavour! Made an easy meal rather than using lots of spices etc.

I would recommend because the sauce was easy to use and made a good family meal. I only tried the chicken curry one as the others weren't in my supermarket.

Thanks for selecting us to try these sauces, we don't normally used prepared sauces in the slow cooker and I was so impressed with both the flavour and the ease of these, I will definitely be buying them in the future.

Thanks for my vouchers. I applied as I had already tried the chicken curry and beef ones and really liked them. I wanted to try the other flavours but sadly can't find them in my local supermarkets. I will persevere but will get the curry and beef again if I'm unsuccessful. I looked again today in Sainsbury's. They still only have the two choices but if anyone's interested they are only £1 at the moment.

I liked that it told you exactly what to buy to go with it on the packet. The prep was minimal.

These were a big hit with the whole family. Easy to use and everyone liked them.

Family liked the flavour particularly of the pulled pork one. I loved the ease

Simple to use add to slow cooker and you can just forget about it till it’s done always a winner on a busy day

I would love maybe a tagine flavour or something Italian

The convenience. I use my slow cooker lots and this made it even easier than ever.

The flavour of the pulled pork was delicious. It was polished off by all.

Yes. I think they would be great for a slow cooker novice as they are ultra easy with good results.

Maybe Mexican inspired flavours.

1.I really liked the depth of flavour of the sauce; sometimes food can taste quite bland when it's cooked for a while in the slow cooker but the beef & ale was really rich.

1. My family's favourite thing they all agreed was the rich flavour. I liked this too but also the convenience of being able to leave a meal to cook all day with minimal fuss.

1. Yes I would recommend. The price is reasonable compared to other ready made kits and I liked the flavour better than other slow cooker sachet mixes I have used.

1. I would like to see maybe an Italian tomato type flavour which would go with chicken?

1. I liked how easy they were to use - 5 mins prep & a tasty dinner ready that evening!
2. My kids liked the curry flavour but we (the adults) found them quite bland. Would definitely be interested in a stronger curry flavour in the future.
3. Yes, I would recommend them because they are easy to use, tasty and great for a busy household who want to cook nutritious, tasty meals.
4. Definitely a spicier curry would be a hit in this house. Also maybe a sausage casserole type sauce - that would be a hit here too.

Before answering the questions, I would like to say that I was unable to purchase the sauce in our local Tesco. I tried a couple of times and then, just so I could try them, I tried to order as part of my online shop. This meant I was unable to use my vouchers and, although I tried to order the two sauces requested, the only sauce available was the Beef and Ale one (which was one I was asked to try). Therefore, my replies are based on tasting the one sauce.

Additionally, in my opinion, I would have liked a little more sauce in the sachet. Although the instructions stated extra water could be added to the sauce, I liked the texture and consistency of the sauce and so didn't add water as I didn't want to change that.

I do think there is a gap in the market for slower cooker sauces and it was nice to add an actual sauce to the ingredients, rather than make up a sauce with dry ingredients and water. However, I don't think I would want to pay more than £1.50 for a sauce.

1. What did you particularly like about the Homepride Slow Cooker Sauces?

The sauce very much fit in with what I like to cook in the slow cooker. The recomendation of adding carrots and onions to the beef is something I would do anyway, although I would normally also add more veg. In this respect, the sauce was great as I would normally add some herbs, some alcohol and other ingredients to create my own sauce. To be able to just pour a sauce over my ingredients was definitely a time saver and I really did like this. Also, the range of flavours mean there are several other varieties I would like to try.

My son particularly enjoyed the strong flavour of the herbs added to the sauce, although that was something that I wasn't so keen on as I found both the taste of herbs and the smell quite overpowering. We all liked the thickness of the sauce when served up.

I would recommend the Homepride Slow Cooker range to others as the sauce adds a nice flavour to the meat and veg in the slow cooker and it saves time using the sauce rather than making your own sauce. Also, I am often stuck for ideas as to what to add to different meats, so this is a good way to experiment and add flavour that everyone enjoys. I was disappointed that my local Tesco had none in stock.

I would love to see a Slow Cooker Sauce for Lamb and also for Gammon (perhaps an apple & cider type sauce).

The chicken curry was very tasty (I got Beef and Ale and chicken curry as they were the ones i could find .The instructions were easy to follow.

We found the beef and ale too sweet and couldn't taste the beef or ale flavour really but the curry one was lovely.

Beef stroganoff would be lovely or chicken casserole

I eventually find these in Morrisons. Unable to find in my local Tesco or Sainsbury's and was just about to give up hope!
I liked that they were easy to use, recipes that I'd normally choose and needed just a handful of ingredients added.
My family's favourite was the Beef and Ale one. Lots of flavour.
I would probably recommend these if I was asked.
I would like to see a lamb dish added to the range (I love lamb cooked in a slow cooker!) - a lamb curry, tagine or casserole?

Have been so far unable to purchase the product: getting Covid at end of Jan left us confined to the house and dependent on home deliveries. Today is first trip to actual supermarket since then (the voucher stated that it could not be used for home deliveries). Hoping we can get the sauce today, but unable to use until the weekend. Sorry!

I tried the pulled pork and the chicken curry one.

How easy and very little prep was required to cook.

Pulled pork was full of flavour and delicious. The sauce was lovely and sticky to add onto the pork once it was pulled.

We found these super easy to use - i love the convenience of the slow cooker.

Would highly recommend the chicken curry however i thought the beef & ale was a tad on the watery side and didn't feel as nice of quality as the curry.

Easy to use. Definitely having days where I don’t want to cook or stand over the oven, perfect for that!

I often make a chilli too hot so they complain hehehe but this was perfect apparently!! The OH said it was better than most packet sauces.

I thought they were tasty and easy to prepare. I liked that it took the thought out of what to have for dinner when I came home from work because it had been cooking all day. They are relatively healthy and good value for money. I like the variety that's available but look forward to seeing if any new flavours are introduced.

We tried Beef and Ale and BBQ Pulled Pork as we couldn't find the other two flavours in any of our regular supermarkets. Beef and Ale was my favourite of the two. I thought it was very tasty and quite versatile as to what you can accompany it with. My children preferred the BBQ Pulled Pork which I also liked but I wouldn't tend to eat this much anyway so that's why I wasn't as keen as them. One of them especially is very fussy and she ate both meals with no complaints which is a big plus.

Yes I would definitely recommend the range to others as it is a stress-free, convenient way of making tasty dinners that the whole family enjoy.

A vegetarian option would be good, curry flavours, chicken casserole, bolognese - there are lots of possibilities! Takeaway favourites might be a good idea.

2. We weren’t so keen on the flavour (steak and ale and chicken curry). I think we make nicer slow cookers meals using sticks, spices etc that we have in the house.
