At the same time as giving their feedback on this thread, testers completed a survey on their experience of testing the Morrisons nappies with their child.

84% would recommend the New Baby Nappies, 83% would recommend the Ultra Dry Nappies and 85% would recommend the Ultra Dry Pants to a friend or family member, therefore Morrisons Nutmeg nappies and pants have been awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge.

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing nappies or pull up pants from the Morrisons ‘Nutmeg’ range.

Testers trialled Nutmeg New Baby Nappies, Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappies or Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants.

We tested size 6 pants. They fitted perfectly, there was no leakage during day or night. No skin issues with these nappies - my child frequently suffers from eczema and these nappies didn’t trigger this.

I tested Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants size 5 on DD, 19 months. The fit was comfy but a little narrow on the bum for DD and so would often ride up at one side or other. Despite this we had no leakage day or night. No dryness to report.

I liked the look of them and their reliability in terms of no leaks.

We tested size 6 nappies. Got was lovely and snug, loved the feel of the nappies, very soft, comfortable material. Had some Leakage at night from the whole nappy, it also expanded hugely at night. Skin dryness was good, no rash in nappy area at all

They seemed to expand to quite big with only a small amount of liquid/urine. Wouldn't necessarily put me off buying as I do change her regularly through the day, but her bottom half was damp sometimes on a morning

Size 5 pants. They were a good overall fit and I was happy with skin dryness. We did have a leak one day, so not 100%, but probably any range of nappies leaks sometimes.

They feel nice and soft, not plasticky, and are stretchy. They seem comfortable.

They can't talk yet, so I'm not sure! There didn't seem to be any problems.

nappies fit really well, tabs didnt slip down and no leaks. Not being aware of what the price is per pack, i would certainly buy if on par price wise with 'little angels' or lidls/Aldis.

I tested Nutmeg Ultra Dry nappies size 6 on DS who has just turned 2. I experienced no leakage at all and his skin stayed dry. They fit well but often slipped inwards on his bum so could do with being wider in that area.

I liked the fact they didn’t leak. They also felt and smelt pleasant when taking them out the packet.

DS seemed ok in them but due to the lack over width over his bum he did pull at this area quite a few times through the day.

The bum area needs to be wider and the design on the nappy could be brighter. DS likes the bright colours on other brands as well as looking out for different patterns/pictures at each many change - he missed that with the Nutmeg nappies.

Yes I think I would, most likely for smaller children than my DS.

We tested the nappy pants in a size 4
I compared them to my usual pampers premium pants and these felt equally soft and had a similar all round stretch which I liked. The only difference was that they were shorter on the waistband so found that they rolled down.
DD's skin was always dry so no issues there.
We had two incidences with leaking, once during the night and once during the day after less than two hours wear.

Soft, stretchy, easy removal and a sticky tab on the back for disposal

• I tested the Size 4 Nappy Pants on my 18 month old daughter. I found the fit perfect on my DD, they were quite slim which is what I liked.

• I liked the physical appearance of them, nice and light colours so they do not show underneath clothing. Alongside that, I really liked the fit.

• I found them quite hard to rip, which is both a good and bad thing! Good because DD can’t do it but bad when I was in a rush. I would perhaps make that slightly easier.

Ultra dry nappies size 3. They were fine during the day, unfortunately we have had 2 overnight leaks. We previously used morrisons nappies and this has never happened before.

Very thin feeling when in, not at all bulky.

They could have been more absorbent overnight. Possibly this was due to the design or sleep position of my lo as they were dry at the back but leaked through the front.

Sadly not for overnight. We currently use morrisons nappies however and have had no leaks.

We tested the newborn nappies, we found the fit perfect but still wuth plenty of wriggle room, We experienced no leaks, and nearly 100% dryness on the skin.

1. I tested the size 4 baby dry nappies on my 11 month old son. They fit perfectly, no leakage day or night and my son suffers from eczema but no skin concerns at all wearing these.
   

1. I really liked the cute design on the nappies and in particular it stating front and back which is simple but with a wriggly baby that doesn’t like to stay still for nappy changes it’s great to quickly glance and see if you have it the correct way around!
   

The material was soft and thin not bulky.

We tried the Nutmeg ultra dry size 4 nappies. They fit pretty well but gaped slightly at the back. However we had no leakage, day or night. There was also no dryness.

These nappies were super soft. I also like that the front and back are clearly labelled which made changing easy when you're overtired 😂

We tested size 5 pants. These were great overnight 12+ hours, no leakage. However during the day they didn't work well for us at all. We needed multiple clothing changes a day after wee leaks.
Her skin was dry though. No soreness. They seemed to fit her ok so can't work out why they were great at nighttime, less so during the day.

They were so soft. Much softer than the usual brand so can imagine they felt very comfortable. And super stretchy and looked comfortable.

Size 6 pants. They fit perfectly - my child is quite skinny but they stayed up fine. We didn't have any leakages during the test which is good news because we have had leakages with other brands in the past. He didn't have any issues with skin dryness but he never has really.

2. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies?
The design was appealing to my son. They were easy to put on and take off and he could pull them up and down himself if he wanted to use the toilet while wearing them.

He liked having a new type of "night pants" to try and he said he liked the design because it looked like a cloud.

It would be nice if there were two different designs in the pack. Sometimes my son likes to do eeny meeny miny moe to choose his clothing.

5. Would you recommend the Nutmeg nappies to others?
Yes they were effective and seem to be comparable in price to other supermarket own brands.

We used the pants for my 6 yr old for nighttime. I was really impressed with these! They fitted well, no leaks at all and she stayed dry all night.

1. How did your child feel wearing the Nutmeg nappies? These were an absolute hit. DD has sensory issues so texture and fit is important. If something isn't "right" she can't wear it. Unlike some of the other supermarket own brands these are lovely and soft.

   We tried size 4 nappy pants. They fit really well and had no leakage even over overnight period (12hr+). Skin was dry and comfortable.

Like the tab to stick wet/dirty nappies together and easy to tear seams

Pattern on the front/back. Extremely boring as is and can’t talk about the pattern/shapes/animals etc with baby

In my own words:
These are good nappy pants and wereally like them.
Soft and absorbent. Seems to be three main absorbent channels and they keep the wee contained and bottoms dry. The seams are easily teared for easy changes and they have the tab to stick them together when wet/dirty which many supermarket brands are missing but very very useful.
Stretchy but comfortable and good fit even after 12hr night. No leaks.
Fits snugly and comfortably around legs and tummy and not too tight despite being on a chunky baby. Baby also free to move comfortably/normally too. Also good for around bum cheeks which some brands aren’t.
Not a fan of the plain and boring pattern. Can’t explain to baby what it is (no stars, elephants, rainbows or different colours/shapes etc to talk about and very boring).
