At the same time as giving their feedback on this thread, testers completed a survey on their experience of testing the Morrisons nappies with their child.

84% would recommend the New Baby Nappies, 83% would recommend the Ultra Dry Nappies and 85% would recommend the Ultra Dry Pants to a friend or family member, therefore Morrisons Nutmeg nappies and pants have been awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge.

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing nappies or pull up pants from the Morrisons ‘Nutmeg’ range.

Testers trialled Nutmeg New Baby Nappies, Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappies or Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants.

We tried the size 2 nappies. They are lovely and soft fitting, unlike some brands that have a stiff plastic feeling. I found the sizing of the nappy seemed on the small side in comparison of my usual brand. We had 2 leaks (of number 2s) but I think this was purely because my little one has constipation so no relation to the product itself. No urine leaks even when left for longer periods. Skin felt dry and soft.

We tested the size 2 newborn nappies. Seemed to be a good, comfortable fit (my daughter has chunky legs the nappies didn't rub). No leakages and the area appeared dry at changes.

Yes, I have recommended them to my cousin who's pregnant with her first baby.

We tried the size 4 nappies with my 6 month old, the fit was perfect, we used them during the day when she was playing and overnight (from about 9pm-7am the next day) and there was no leakage! Very impressed!

2. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies?
They're very soft, they stay on securely which is a big plus for me and the fit was VERY good.

She's 6 months old but she was very happy and comfortable in them.

We tested the Size 4 Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappy Pants. The nappy pants fitted my son like a dream, he didn't have any red marks around his waist and his skin was dry after each change. We had no leaks during the day or during the night. This surprised me, as we have had a few leakages recently with other brands. The nappy didn't result in any leaks even after a 12hr sleep and a middle of the night poo. I was pleasantly surprised, as I didn't expect them to perform so well.

1. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies?

The nappy pants felt of a premium quality and they kept my son dry. The nappy pants didn't feel like they were supermarket own brand. I liked the tab on the back, which helped to keep the nappy and wipes altogether during a wriggly nappy change.

The nappy pants weren't too bulky on my son and he was pleased to be wearing nappy pants over a nappy.

My only improvement would be for the nappy pants to be biodegradable. My ultimate goal would be to use biodegradable nappy pants all of the time, but it isn't an affordable option for my family.

I tested new baby nutmeg nappies in size 2. They are really good, my baby was comfortable, he had good fitting and no leakage problem

We tested the nappies size 5 on my ten month old. The nappies were excellent. I was really impressed. The fit was excellent. There was no Urine leakage during the day or night. We did get one small pop leakage but that was during a trip out where we were unaware that little one had spiked himself so I would not blame the nappy for this. Little one had been getting quite a lot of redness and soreness with other brands and this did not happen with these nappies.

Great product. Loved the dryness and fit was perfect for my little one.

The writing front/ back on the nappies. Although this was not an issue for me some people (Visual impaired etc) may struggle with this

We tested the nutmeg nappies. The nappies fitted really well, perfect for the day but a bit of leakage overnight. No dryness or soreness from them though even though my daughter has sensitive skin.

She was quite happy wearing them but she’s generally happy in any of the nappies we use.

Possibly the design. They were quite sweet for my daughter but I feel a bit more colour (not just shades of pink) would make them more appealing.

Definitely! They were great for an everyday happy. We just needed something a bit mor3 for overnight.

Size 6 pants. They fit exactly as Pampers. He only wears nappies at night. His skin felt dry to touch in the morning.

We tested the size 5 nappy pants. They have a snug fit, which means we’ve had no leakages and the skin remains dry.

They are perhaps a little snug to get on. We worried at first that they’d be too small, and we a little difficult to get over thunky toddler thighs!

We tested the Nutmeg Size 4 nappy pants and overall I’m very impressed with them. We only had one wet leak in total Which is quite impressive! Our usual brand leaks much more than that so I think we may be making a switch over to Nutmeg nappy pants!! They fit my daughter really well, weren’t too loose or too tight and fit perfectly still when her tummy retracts overnight. Left her feeling mostly dry besides that one time it leaked.

I liked how they were soft to the touch which is a big pick for us. There’s plenty of stretch in them too!

She’s only 8 months but I think as far as nappy’s go she was comfortable in them.

Perhaps make the leg flaps a little bigger and a bit easier to tear off for nappy changes.

Absolutely!! I think they might possibly be my new favourite nappy pants!

1. We tested the size 2 nutmeg nappies: I was Initially pleased with the thickness/softness of them and they feel a great fit. There were no leaks and the skin around his bottom was not wet when changed.
2. I liked that the nappies didn’t leak with wee or poo and also how comfy they looked on my little boy

We used the newborn Nutmeg nappies in size 2.
They stopped leaks onto clothing and were successful in keeping my daughter's bum feeling dry.

As she's a newborn, it was difficult to tell. However, she seems comfortable in them, and did not have an allergic reaction to them.

Yes, I would. It is a good quality nappy and seems to be good value for money.

New baby - these nappies were fab both day and night. Easy to out on and take off, if you stick the tab in the wrong place it’s easy to rectify and the tabs are still stick just as well. They fit really well and we’ve only had one leak. The skin feels really dry after 1 wee but you can feel slight dampness after two, but my son does seem to do very big wees.

Love how if you stick the tab in the wrong place you can move it and it still sticks just as well. They don’t have the chemical blue stripe one the inside like a lot of nappies do.

He’s only 16 day old but he seems comfy, they aren’t to bulky so don’t push his legs apart and they are soft

I’m struggling to think of an improvement, we love these nappies and they are now the only one’s we use.

I Tested size 2 nutmeg nappies - the first was a little bit big for my little boy as still only weights 7llb - no problems with leakage during the day - haven’t used during night as due to being a bit big size wise. No problems with skin

Newborn size 2. They fitted well, no leakage and no dry skin.

Size 6 nappies for my 3yr old twins - boy and girl They leaked during the day for both of them, didn’t want to risk nighttime. The fit seemed good and they were soft to touch, didn’t cause any soreness on either of them.

• size 6 pants, there were ok overall but not really excited about them. I think they are a bit bigger than other brands of the same size. Night leakages.

Baby dry size 6. No leakage and kept skin dry. A slightly bulky fit - fine around waist and legs but just seemed to be a lot of nappy!

Less bulk - not as long I guess but it wasn't a big issue

We tested size 5 pants. They fitted well although never seemed centred - always had to be adjusted once my child was standing up. We had no leakage issues at all, even overnight. No issues with skin dryness either.

Good fit, didn't impede my toddler's movement and no leakage no matter how much climbing/running around they did.

The design is a little 'wishy washy'. Neither one thing or the other. Almost looked faded. Also the use of 'front' and 'back' really irked me!

Yes although I wouldn't make a special trip to go buy them rather than my usual ones.

We tested the size 4 nappies. The nappy performed really well, we had no leaks or skin irritation although we did only use these in the daytime. We tend to use size 4+ overnight. They fit really well and actually seemed a little less bulky than the ones we currently use.

As above, we were very happy with the performance, fit and absorbency are the most important factors for us.

He had no issues with them and seemed comfortable.

It would not put me off buying them but I do like it when a nappy has a cute design, these were very plain, mainly white with a small design.
I also like a nappy with a clear design which guide you to where to place the tabs, mainly for my husband's benefit!

Yes definitely, we don't always shop in Morrison's but if we were passing and needed nappies I would.

We tested size 5 ultra dry nappies. Fit was pretty good and I didn’t notice any leakage (and Ds is a heavy wetter). Ds has a tendency to nappy rash and eczema but we didn’t have that issue with them. He seemed happy wearing them and didn’t pull them off, which was a bonus!

They did what they needed to. They were fully fit for purpose and everything I needed them to be. No complaints!

Well he’s too young to ask! But he seemed perfectly happy and it didn’t get in the way of his adventurous climbing activities!

Hmm, I wasn’t keen on the chemical smell, but then you get that with all disposable nappies. The pattern in the nappy was a bit bland.

Sure, yes I would.

Size 4 nappies. Seemed pretty good. No leaks and kept babies dry but could be a little bit wider and longer

Didn't have the weird smell I've noticed with other supermarket nappies. Didn't get too bulky and were quite soft

We tested the ultra dry size 6 pants. The overall performance was good, as was the fit. Not worn during the day but during the night - a little leakage but I find this with most pants for an ‘older’ range. No skin dryness around the area, my son suffers with eczema so this was a relief!

The fit and apart from one leak, the absorbency seemed very good.

Slightly bigger size perhaps to contain leaks 100%, especially for older children.

Yes I would!
