At the same time as giving their feedback on this thread, testers completed a survey on their experience of testing the Morrisons nappies with their child.

84% would recommend the New Baby Nappies, 83% would recommend the Ultra Dry Nappies and 85% would recommend the Ultra Dry Pants to a friend or family member, therefore Morrisons Nutmeg nappies and pants have been awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge.

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing nappies or pull up pants from the Morrisons ‘Nutmeg’ range.

Testers trialled Nutmeg New Baby Nappies, Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappies or Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants.

We tried Nutmeg Nappy Pants size 5. They were absolutely great. The fit is perfect for my little girl aged 2. We didn't have any leakages. I liked the stretchy fit all around like Pampers Nappy Pants.. definitely comfier for her than some nappy pants we've tried. They absorbed all the wee and left her dry and comfy.

See most of q. 1! But also I liked the sticky tab on the back for easy disposal.

She liked them- they were easy and stretchy enough she could pull them up herself easily. They aren't as colourful as some other brands tho.

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why?

One small thing I noticed was that when taking them off, if you rip down the side seams, sometimes it's not that easy, resulting in having to rip it bit by bit so that it doesn't rip horizontally along the stretchy bit instead of vertically down the seam.

1. Would you recommend the Nutmeg nappies to others?

Yes definitely and I'd definitely be buying them myself if the price was good.

Overall I found these nappies average. They did the job but other supermarket brands perform better. Skin was kept dry and there were no unpleasant smells. I thought the size 3 Nappirs were a little long in size so came up quite high on his belly. No leakages whilst we have been using them.

I didn’t like the pink and yellow design on the nappy. Would prefer something bright.

Yes, I had no issues with them and would buy if I was a Morrison’s customer. I don’t think they are quite as good as Aldi.

Size 5 nappies. I thought the nappies were great, my nearly 1 year old and 3 year old are both in size 5 and fit them both comfortably. No leakage on either of them, though the nappies did seem to expand quite quickly once slightly wet. No rash for either child and both can be prone to nappy rash.

We tested size 2 they fitted my son perfectly, no leakage either day or night which I was really pleased about and it absorbed well as the skin remained dry in the nappy area.

Size 4 nappies. Overall fit was great, initially wanted to test as tabs keep slipping down in current brand, did not get this once with Nutmeg Nappies. No leaks whatsoever and no nappy rash, all was well!

Yes, not knowing what the cost of a packet is, i would recommend if a reasonable cost. Been great to use and would keep and eye out for them again.

We tested the size 4 nappy pants. Overall fit seemed ok. No issues with dryness but they leaked both during the day and at night.

one thing that really stuck me was how soft they were. I really liked that. My DD has sensitive skin but we noticed no redness/irritation with these nappies

So disappointed they leaked. The leak was around the leg area, so perhaps changing something in the design there would help.

●I chose New Baby Nappies size 2. It did very well in terms of leakage control, Absorption during Day and Night!!! My baby's Skin was still Dry through her sleep.

We were sent the nappies so only used them for daytime as my daughter does better with pull-up pants for night sleeps and long naps. I thought the fit was great and they seem to be of very good quality, no issues with wetness around nappy area. My daughter is an absolute monkey though and as soon as I stick the sides down she's at it taking the nappy back off! So we have been using pull-up pants instead for quite some time now.

Great quality, great fit, especially compared to other low cost nappies.

Nothing in the sense that they perform exactly as nappies should. However, as mentioned, we are more of a pull-up nappy household.

We tested size 5 nappies. They fit well and did not leak. Unfortunately, my child had a reaction to the nappy, coming out in a very red rash.

The design is very basic and in a tired state it's hard to see which is the front or back. A clearer or more colourful design would be better.

Definitely. I've used size 1 & 2 with no issues and glad to see size 3 is still a good quality. Would definitely buy more.

We tested the size 6 nappy pants. Since applying my daughter has become dry in the day, so we have used these at night. I was a bit nervous about trying them and I didn't want them to leak and wake her up!

Initally I thought the fit was poor - they just don't seem wide enough across the gusset/bottom area. Even once you've pulled the elastic out around the leg, they just seemed too narrow. That being said, we only had one leak overnight, and that was a super heavy nappy - not sure if it was due to the seemingly poor fit or not. I didn't think her skin felt particularly dry when removing the nappy but then again, she might have only just done a wee! No poos overnight to test those!

The price is cheap, they tended to not leak.

She enjoyed wearing her "big girl night time pants". She is able to get them down herself for a final bedtime wee too which is great.

I found the design a bit boring, it definitely made them feel 'budget' to me. The material wasn't as soft or pliable as our usual brand.

Yes, I don't see why not. They're a lot more affordable than the leading brands. I'd encourage friends with bigger children to test the fit first though!

We tested the new baby nappies size 2.
The fit I found to be quite good, especially around the tops of the leg but I found the sizing to be small (especially around the waste/short fastening tabs) compared to the current nutmeg size 2 nappies and other brands. The sizing was more like the equivalent to a size 1 and was a bit of a squeeze. The nappies performed brilliantly and we experienced no leaks or wetness, even when the nappy had been worn for 12 hours over night.

I was impressed with how soft the nappies felt, they felt very high quality. The pattern was also cute but simple.

As my child is unable to tell me how the felt I’ll have to take a guess. My child seemed quite comfortable wearing the nappies. There was little fuss even when the nappy was soiled.

A wetness indicator would be great on the new baby nappies, this is something all other brands feature including the current nutmeg nappies. Although not a necessity it’s something parents like to have.

The sizing also could do with looking at, I found these to be quite small compared to other size 2 nappies. My daughter fits well in the current nutmeg size 2 nappies and has plenty of room left in pampers size 2. However these size 2 nappies were a tight fit and with another week more they wouldn’t fit.

Yes I’d definitely recommend, I’ve been very impressed with this brand and the performance of the nappies.

1.We tried Ultra dry nappies size 4 .The nappies were great on protecting from leaking,fitted well and left the skin soft and dry.

2.I like that they were soft,protected well and don’t irritate the skin during the heatwave.

3.I think my little one felt comfortable wearing them .

4.I would add a stripe on the front that changes its colour when there is wee inside.That is really useful and easy .

Nutmeg New Baby Nappies size 2.
Great fit for our little boy. No problems with drying out skin. No leaks and pulls moisture away from baby’s skin leaving him comfortable.

I liked the look of these - looked like expensive nappies compared to other supermarkets nappies which I normally use. Good elastic design and double gusset, shame it didn’t totally prevent leaks for us.

I received the size 5 pants and as a first time user of nappy pants I was thoroughly impressed I had visions of them not being as good as a proper nappy but I was greatly mistaken! They performed as well as my current nappy brand I use and they are great as I'm starting to potty train my DS

They fit really well and it's great that they have a front and back made obvious too.

They were dubious at first as never worn them before but was soon convinced when I showed him he could pull them down and have a wee then pull them back on and carry on playing.

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why?

The only thing I would recommend as a change is the sticky strip to fasten the nappy pant up after use could possibly be made so it doesn't come away after a few hours wear this making it difficult to fasten up when used.

I would definitely recommend these and will be buying myself in the future.

we tested the ultra dry pants in size 5 my baby is quite chunky so would buy a size 6 the fit was a bit small but very snug there was no leakage at all day or night my baby also has sensitive skin in that area and i noticed her skin was not irritated at all which i was amazed at as usually i have to buy expensive nappies.

i loved that they where soft and gentle on my baby's delicate areas the price is great too.

Nappies size 4. They fit a bit loose bit kept leaks in really well. We had one leak but baby was in the nappy for too long so I wouldn't blame the nappy itself. It was dry and kept baby's skin dry enough.

I liked the label that says front and back on the nappy. The design was quite nice as well, with a cute picture on. They are thin and lightweight despite being very absorbent.

Baby seemed okay wearing them, no complaints from her.

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why? The tabs weren't the best at sticking so I'd improve those. Also making the parts around the legs a bit tighter.

As a budget disposable nappy, yes I would. They didn't leak and are thin and lightweight yet absorbent. Great for out and about under outfits.

We tested Nutmeg nappy pants. My toddler found them great to wear during the day and night. There was no leakages whatsoever. My son has very bad eczema but the nappies didn’t react or make his eczema worse. They were very comfortable and a great fit.

I liked the quality of the nappy pants. Also the fit as great and snug and didn’t leave marks from being too tight.
