At the same time as giving their feedback on this thread, testers completed a survey on their experience of testing the Morrisons nappies with their child.

84% would recommend the New Baby Nappies, 83% would recommend the Ultra Dry Nappies and 85% would recommend the Ultra Dry Pants to a friend or family member, therefore Morrisons Nutmeg nappies and pants have been awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge.

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing nappies or pull up pants from the Morrisons ‘Nutmeg’ range.

Testers trialled Nutmeg New Baby Nappies, Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappies or Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants.

Size 6 nappy pants for my 2 year old DS, we had no problems with leaks, they fit well and DS skin stayed in good condition.

1. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies?

They fit well, were soft material and the sticky catch on the back to wrap them up after they were take off was fab!

He didn't seem to have any complaints, so Fine, I think!

The sides were harder to tear when removing them, but that was it

Nappy Pants - I found them to be as effective as other brands.

We tried the Ultra Dry Nappies, her skin felt really dry even after a nights wear and we didn't have any leaks, I do feel like they were quite large in the sizing though.

We had size 5 pants. They fitted well and seemed to work well, DD is potty training at the moment so they have only been used for naps, we haven't managed to overfill one yet!

I tested the size 6 pants for my two year old. They fit really well and there was no leakage at all during the day or night time. My daughters skin stayed dry and the pants seemed to be very absorbent. She experienced no redness during the time we used the nappies.

I liked that they were soft and gentle on my daughter's skin. They weren't bulky and fit well under her clothes. She is starting to potty train and could remove them herself which is also a big plus. They absorbed really well and didn't leak.

She enjoyed wearing them and had no issues with them. She liked the pattern on them and liked touching them because they were soft!

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why?

There's nothing I would change. I have never used Morrison's nappies before and I was surprised at the excellent quality from a supermarket brand.

Yes definitely, they are some of the best nappies I have tried!

I tested Nutmeg new-born on DD, 5 weeks. The fit was a little wide on the sides but I think this is because DD is a little on the small side (only just hitting 7 pounds). Notwithstanding this, there were no leaks and she actually had diarrhoea due to undiagnosed (but now diagnosed) CPMA thank goodness, and the nappies held it well with no leakage!

I liked the durability of them and that they held the explosive poop in.

They seemed to fit my long bodied not very fat baby well. Some other brands gape round the legs but these didn’t. I didn’t have any wee or poo leaks even at night.

They we nice and soft and felt like Pampers. Some cheaper nappy brands can feel a bit ‘crispy’ and hard.

After the trial I went to my local Morrison’s to buy some and they were completely out of stock of size 3 (but had all the other sizes). So I would improve your stock availability.

I tested the Ultra Dry nappies. I found the fit was good and the dryness was ok. There was a bit of leakage at night.

I only used during the day. Found they looked a bit smaller than other brands but had nice soft stretch. No leakage issues. Nicer softness than aldi and less smell than pampers.

We tested the baby size 3s. They performed really well, comparable to other brands.

Tested size 2 nappies. They leaked quite a bit in comparison to the nappies we usually use (Aldi Mamia). I had used size 1 Nutmeg ones previously and preferred them to the size 2. My baby is 14lbs so definitely size 2. They were ok in the day but at night when I wasn’t monitoring him all the time they leaked twice.

We had size 4 ultra dry nappies. They didn’t leak for us ( dd isn’t a big wee’er). Over all fit fine, skin was a little damp when o went to take them off but only slightly. No rashes were caused.

We used the nappies at night time and thought they performed well. Had a couple of issues where my daughter managed to take off the nappy and the second night she peeled one of the tabs off the side. But this could be because we are used to pants..

Pants size 5. My little girl is in between size 4 and 5 depending on where I get them, so these were slightly on the large size, but still no leakage! No dryness and really soft!

I tested the newborn nappies for my twins, they were alittle prem so the newborns were slightly bigger than i hoped but overall they were a good fit and ive saved a couple for when they are abit heavier. I found they performed better in the day, at night they were quite full and i did have one or two leaking. The skin dryness and nappy area was good, no rashes and no sore skin!

We tested the newborn nappies (size 2) on my 3 month old. Overall they performed pretty well day and night and I felt as though I could rely on them.

We tested size 6 nappies. They fitted perfectly & we had no trouble with leakage. My child is prone to eczema & there were no issues with this; the nappies kept his skin nice & dry.

We tested the Nutmeg newborn nappies in size 2. Baby was at the top end of the weight range for this size, but the fit was still good, no issues with leaks and baby seems comfortable.

Size 6 ultra dry nappies, DS2 is 2.5. No leaking, good fit and no issues with soreness.

The decision was imo quite girly with a pink bird on. Not an issue for my little boy at all, and shouldn't be an issue but why a cute little pink bird?
