Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

Foam cone factory. It looked really exciting when we first opened it. Bright and colourful.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

She loves the hundreds and thousands shaker. Didn’t like the hard handle. Also she kept trying to press the decorative circle at the front as it looks like a giant button and then got frustrated when it didn’t do anything.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

No. It just didn’t do enough. Once you have squeezed some foam at a few times it gets boring quick.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Not really. It wasn’t the most fun toy we have played with.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

The lever was too hard for my 20 month old to pull she also found the coordination of holding the cone and pulling the handle very hard and I would say this skill is much more guided towards an older child. It’s great it doesn’t require batteries though.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The ice cream maker, initial impressions were good, my 20 month old loved the penguin and the 5 year old could not wait until bathtime

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
The fact it stopped working after the first go
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Definitely not

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Unfortunately not

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Make it work seamlessly every time. The first time we got amazing thick bubbles. Followed by big bubbles. Followed by the handle not moving at all so no bubbles.

My little one tested the Rocket fountain-
He loved it here is my review!

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the the rocket fountain, my first impressions was that it looked very well made and I like the design and colours
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My child loved this toy. He's such a water baby anyway so any new toy for the bath is a treat for him. He can easily fill it up himself and hold it in the air so the water comes out so he is very happy with it. There's nothing I can really say about this toy he disliked
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes I would buy this toy over other bath toys
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I have already recommended this toy to my friend, she has a baby that is a month younger than my son and I suggested she looked into buying one for little guy.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Maybe add something else other than just pouring water. Maybe some nozzles that turn and twist just to add some more fun to the product

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The Foam come factory - initially was very excited to try it and daughter was desperate to get it out the packaging and started to play with it even before bath time

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My daughter loved that it was completely different to all her other bath toys which are all very basic. She also loved that she could wash herself with the bubbles. She however got quite frustrated that she doesn’t have the strength to pull the lever by herself yet as it is quite stiff

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes, would definitely consider buying it in future as a gift

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes. The stiff lever isn’t a huge deal as I know she will be able to do this by herself eventually. In the meantime it is a great bonding experience

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Some way to access the insides for cleaning purposes

JustPurple · 30/08/2019 16:36
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the cone factory. Out of the box, it looked bright and lots of fun.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My daughter loved pulling the lever to dispense the foam. She had loads of fun making ice creams for me and I had to pretend to eat them.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

I would definitely buy this again.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

I would recommend this toy. We had a lot of fun playing it and it was a nice change to all of the water squirting toys that you get.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

We added food colouring to the foam , that was fun.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Toomies fountain rocket. I didn't expect it to be so big!
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
my youngest who is 21 months old liked to grab the soft yellow edges and wave it around. He didn't seem to understand more than that. He liked it when I filled it with water and let it run over him. My 7 year old absolutely loved it He played with it much more
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
maybe when my youngest is older, I felt he didn't really understand how it worked. I would purchase for my 7 year old
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would recommend. it was a quality toy, lots of fun and enjoyed in different ways by both my kids
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
For a younger child, I think it should be abit smaller. my youngest struggled to hold it and dropped it a lot.

Hitsnooze · 30/08/2019 16:53

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the Toomies fountain rocket and the kids loved the bright colours and were definitely intrigued

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My daughter loved the way the water poured from the rocket like a waterfall. It made washing her hair much easier and more fun!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I probably wouldn't choose to purchase this again but only because my kids prefer bubble toys
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would recommend this toy to family and friends
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I would like it if you could fill with water then release manually
Cocomelon1 · 30/08/2019 16:56

My DD got the Octopals and loved it.

How they floated in the bath as she doesn't sit in the bath so she was following it and sticking the Octopals on the tiles taking off the tiles and arranging them on the side of the bath..
She really enjoyed playing with them wasn't anything I would change..
I also liked how there wasn't loads of plastic packaging 10/10Smile

Testers please answer the questions below:

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
The rocket. Seemed fun to look at.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Water went EVERYWHERE. The fountain didn't last long - she actually enjoyed it more when we stuck the shower hose in instead so it lasted longer. It doesn't do that much. She got bored very quickly. Maybe it might be better suited to younger children?
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? No.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Depends on the child. My LG is quite advanced in some respects and she bored quickly of the rocket.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? Sound to make it more engaging.
Lanahsmama · 30/08/2019 17:19

Damnpeskykids · 30/08/2019 17:37
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Tooomies rocket ship. Thought it was lovely and colourful and very sturdy. Also easy to clean!
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My son liked filling it with water so the star rose up, he didn't want it over his head (currently going through hating having his hair washed!) but like doing it in front of him.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes definitely, we've ended up having to throw lots of bath toys away due to mould & not being able to clean properly but this is very easy to & that makes a massive difference to the longevity of a product!
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Probably add something else, a scoop or another toy that comes with it maybe?
Mumofone1860 · 30/08/2019 17:48

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Toomies Foam Cone Factory

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My child loved the pumping motion and getting to make his own cones! He needed help either pumping or holding the cone as he can't do both yet which he disliked at first as he's quite independent, but he knows he needs help now and just loves pumping the foam. He also loves when I splat the foam cones on his belly!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I would definitely choose this bath toy in future, it is lots of fun and sturdy and we both enjoy playing with it!
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would definitely recommend it! I showed a video of my son using it to my sister who now wants one for her neice!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I would add a holder for the cone under the pump so smaller children who don't understand how to pump and hold the cone in the right place can get a nice high foamy cone easily.
hespi · 30/08/2019 18:05

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? Fountain rocket

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?colourful -he enjoyed the water coming out the bottom but got bored within about 5 mins-I like that the packaging was recyclable
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? possibly for only from 1year to 18 months
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? would have another function to kepp interest such as a sound or windup motion
Mummabear2212 · 30/08/2019 18:14

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The octopals toy. I loved that all of the packaging, even the ties were recyable.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My son went instant mad for this, loving the tactile nature and bright colours.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

I would, he's enjoyed playing with it in and out the bath.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes, although I'm a bit worried about mould in the toys as there is potential for thos to happen.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Make the small figures stick to the bigger island as they knock off easily

Seb19521710 · 30/08/2019 18:42
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the foam con factory. The first impression was good. The packaging is attractive and you can clearly see the toy. My son new it was “icecreams”
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My children love playing ice cream vans so the idea of making icecream was very appealing to them. My son who is just under two loved the sprinkles and playing with the cones. Although my 5 year old is older she was thrilled with the opportunity to play with this
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I would have bought this toy and i would buy other toomies toys.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I wouldnt recommend the foam cone factory as it didnt work very well for us. The children loved the idea of it but we really struggled to get it to make decent foam. The children found the lever stiff and it kept slipping down the bath when they were pulling the lever. They still enjoyed the cones and sprinkles
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I think i would add some icecream tops with holes in that can be used to play with water but also to make icecreams and then they could put bubble sauce on. It would be less frustrating if the bubbles did not need to make the ice cream
Angelzebra · 30/08/2019 18:46

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We had the foam cone factory. I've seen these before in shops and thought they looked good.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My 2 year old loves it it's easy for him to pull the handle and play with.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Definitely it's a brilliant toy
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I wouldn't change anything it's good how it is
duck22 · 30/08/2019 19:04
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We got the rocket. It looked like it would be lots of fun and great for washing hair in a fun way.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
We liked the effects. Well made. Easy to use. Would be good if you could adjust the width.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes definitely. Great for kids scared of getting hair wet as it makes it fun.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes definitely. Good for all ages. My 2 and 5yr old both loved it, even outside the bath.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Adjust the spiner at the bottom so that the width of spray could change.
Mommaplaysthebanjo · 30/08/2019 19:04
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Fountain rocket
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
He liked the mushroom fountain coming out of the bottom and he liked putting his hands through into the rocket.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Perhaps. See comments below.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
My son and I really liked this but perhaps it could have something inside it like a floating astronaught as the water does come out quickly so something else would have been good. Or a way of the water coming out a bit slower?
susiesioux · 30/08/2019 19:08

we used the Octopals last night for the first time. Our 18 month old daughter wasnt really interested but she is teething as was a bit sad and just wanted to get out.
Our four year old loved it. She particularly enjoyed the squirting and spent a lot of time looking at all the different faces making sure she knew where all 8 babies were so they could all have a seat.
My only issue is that its another toy hat can end up getting mouldy water inside without you realising.
Also it is not the easiest think to store away between baths especially with all the other bits we have

Hk24498 · 30/08/2019 19:12

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the rocket. I liked it on first look, it looks robust and it's quite a bit bigger than other bath toys so it's fun for my little one

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

He loved the design - I put it with his other toys and purposely didn't draw his attention to it and he saw it straight away. He liked playing with it like a rocket and tipping the water out. He had great fun!

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes, it's fun!

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes, another good thing is to doesn't have small holes or parts that could get mouldy - I've had that with bath toys in the past.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

It can be messy as my son did enjoy tipping the water out whilst pretending it was a rocket - it holds quite a bit of water!!

leeleeloves89 · 30/08/2019 19:13
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested to foam cone factory, initial impressions were it looks fun and was easy to set up!

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My 18-month-old and 4 year old both loved this toy. They enjoyed the foamy bubbles, playing ice cream shop and it was great to share with 3 cones to take turns. I did find it slipped around on the tiles from time to time and the lever does need some good force to pull down.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes, it's a nice easy to clean toy that both children can enjoy and share at bath time.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes, this isn't the first tomy bath toy we've owned and I've found them to be great quality and provide endless fun.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Make suction cups a little stronger, like the type with clips that press down to secure?

Overall it's gone down great with my little ones :)

Dav123 · 30/08/2019 19:13
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the foam cone factory. When it arrived I thought it was nicely packaged and my little one was interested straight away.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
I didn’t like the toy. Trying to get a toddler not to eat bubbles or drink bath water is difficult enough. This toy only encourages this!!!! The lever handle which dispenses the bubbles is too tough for an 18 month old to pull by themselves.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
No
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
No
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Change it to something that doesn’t seem edible to a toddler
armoholt · 30/08/2019 19:15

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
toomies fountain rocket

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My child love filling it up and watching all the water come back out. The colours are nice and bright. Besides filling the rocket with water and watching it all come back out there wasn’t anything to it so it quickly got pushed to one side.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

I would try the toys as my little one loves bath times.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Definitely
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I would add another feature maybe something like a squirter so it can squirt water when flying.

cautiousoptimist1 · 30/08/2019 19:22
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the octopals and like other posters I was impressed with the packaging. My eldest liked the look of the toy from the box.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Both girls liked squirting each other and the babies sticking to the side of the bath. I’m sure the box said there was a shape sorting aspect so I was expecting the bases to be different shapes. I’m concerned about the potential mould issue, I tend to buy cheaper bath toys which end up being replaced often because of the mould. Difficult to dry and cumbersome to store.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
No probably not but I’d try another in the range that doesn’t have squirters!
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I’d make the numbers on the base a different colour and have smaller holes on the octopus.

Thank you for letting me test. Reading it back it sounds negative but my girls loved playing with it and I would consider another toy in the same range.
