  • Which product did you test? The fake tan
  • What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan? It applied easily and I didn't find it streaky.
  • What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan? Not as biscuity as some other tans, a bit stronger in the morning before showering but DP said it wasn't noticeable.
  • How long did your tan last? About 3 days looking nice and after 5 days went patchy
  • How important are cruelty free and natural products to you on a scale of 1-5 (1 not at all - 5 very)? Probably a 3, sometimes I don't realise if they're cruelty free or not but I would actively buy one that is.
  • Would you purchase this product again? I think I would at the right price, the current tan I use is about ÂŁ8 per bottle.
  • Is there anything you would change about this product? I don't think so, nothing will entirely get rid of the biscuit smell and I think it lasted well enough.

  • Which product did you test?

I was sent the Sun kissed self tan mousse in dark to and a mitt.

  • What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan?

I really liked how much of a natural colour it was, definitely wasn’t orange as some other tans are and although it wasn’t as dark as I was expecting, I loved the shade and it didn’t go patchy at all, the mitt was great too.

  • What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan?

Really liked the smell when it was being applied, smelled like a piña colada! The ominous fake tan biscuit smell did seep through after a couple of hours, but it wasn’t too bad.

  • How long did your tan last?
It started to fade at 5 days and almost completely away by day 7.
  • How important are cruelty free and natural products to you on a scale of 1-5 (1 not at all - 5 very)?

5

  • Would you purchase this product again?

Yes, absolutely.

  • Is there anything you would change about this product?

Only if there was a way for the coconut scent to last the whole time the tan was developing, otherwise it was great!

I received the mousse.

I actually really liked this false tan. The process is easy, the guide colour means that you can see if you've missed any spots, the product itself glides on so easily and dries very quickly. My skin didn't feel tacky or sticky in anyway.

I applied it before bed (after moisturising) and was surprised to see, when I woke up, that none of the colour had transferred to my sheets! One of the things I hate the most with tanning is it ruining my linen so that was a really nice touch.

After washing it off I was left with a heathy, natural looking golden tan. Not 'Dark' but still lovely all the same, perfect for spring.
I applied a second coat the next day, just to see if the colour was buildable, and was happy with the results. The tan still looked natural but was a deeper colour (not murky brown like some other brands tend to develop into.)

With gentle exfoliation I've found that the tan has been fading evenly without leaving stubborn patches in the usual places. My skin doesn't feel as dry as it can do with other products so that's another bonus.

Overall, I don't have a bad word to say about this product. The packaging it was sent to me in was well presented (the personalised card was a lovely touch) and the product itself is in a nice bottle.
The environmental aspect is also a massive plus for me - with the ever increasing publicity of the wrecking of the environment it's important for everyone to do their part.
Fake tan is a product I use a lot of, so it's nice to know that by using Sunkissed I am not hurting the environment.

10/10 for me. Would recommend!

SmellNO · 15/05/2019 23:14

Oh, just to add, with gentle exfoliation every night the tan lasted me around 6 days. Excellent timing to do a fresh application for the following week!

  • Which product did you test? The dark mousse
  • What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan? How easy it was to apply, you could see wher you had applied it however it wasn't as dark as other brands meaning I could still be seen in public whilst it was developing!
  • What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan? Great yes, first time ever my husband hasn't complained about the smell when I have fake tan on!
  • How long did your tan last? around 3 days before it started getting patchy, however I did use it before going on a mini break in Europe. • Which product did you test?

Sunkissed Hydrating Jelly Tan

  • What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan?

The colour was very nice. Almost like a golden tan and not a hit of orange in sight. I am naturally very pale and don’t tan at all so I am always worried that fake tan will make me look silly. This however did look very natural, even if it did come out a little darker that I was expecting.

  • What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan?

The smell was very pleasant. It definitely had a holiday/ suncream type of smell to it. I didn’t get the soggy digestive biscuits smell that most other self tans appear to have.

  • How long did your tan last?

5 days total but was starting to fade by the end of day 3 and noticeably lighter by day 4.

  • How important are cruelty free and natural products to you on a scale of 1-5 (1 not at all - 5 very)?

5 - this is a top priority for me in all products I purchase. I was very impressed that the entire packaging is recyclable, including the pump as these usually are not. Also the biodegradable label was a nice bonus.

  • Would you purchase this product again?

Yes I would. I was very pleased with the results. I only used about 1/6 of the bottle for a full body application. So I feel like it’s a decent amount of product for the money.

  • Is there anything you would change about this product?

Maybe a guide colour would have been helpful. I did miss a few patches on first application but was able to go back over them once the colour came out and thankfully it blended in seamlessly. I did love the jelly formula and the quick dry in time so maybe that’s the compromise. Guide colour or formula - I would still pick the jelly formula over other formulas.

Which product did you test?
The Hydrating Jelly

What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan?
I loved the colour - it had a really nice glow, and one that didn't instantly scream 'fake tan'. I also liked how quick it was to develop, and that it didn't ruin my white bed sheets! I received a couple of compliments too, which was nice.

What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan?
I have a heightened sense of smell, but I didn't find the tan offensive like some other tans. I quite liked the scent! Smile

How long did your tan last?
About four days.

How important are cruelty free and natural products to you on a scale of 1-5 (1 not at all - 5 very)?
5! I loved reading the notes about how it was cruelty free and vegan, as well has having over 95% natural ingredients.

Would you purchase this product again?
Yes - I would. It was easy to use and gave a good natural glow. I've already recommended it to friends who have commented on the great colour.

Is there anything you would change about this product?
I can be quite useless with tan sometimes so often prefer a guide colour but that's just my personal preference.

SmithyDarlingLetsDoShots · 16/05/2019 21:16

I tested the dark mousse and I absolutely love it!
It smelled great but the biggest plus point was the way it dried without any tackiness at all and no one bit transferred onto my bedsheets or pjs.
The tan lasted about 4/5 days and faded really evenly, even in the spots that usually go patchy like inner elbows and neck/jawline.
The colour was very natural and I am so impressed with this tan I'll definitely be using this from now on instead of my usual st Tropez.

Which product did you test?
Thé dark tanning mousse

  • What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan?
The application was a doddle and it smelled delicious. I also don’t mind the subtle biscuit smell mentioned by other testers, so: win!
  • What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan?
It was a pleasure to use. Not overpowering; reminiscent of holidays by the pool Smile
  • How long did your tan last?

I’m not particularly keen on the packaging (looks less high-end and more aimed at a youth market—maybe it is?) and would probably have swerved if it hadn’t been for this opportunity to trial.
Chedfords · 23/05/2019 17:52
  • Which product did you test? Dark mousse
  • What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan? The even colour when established and the application - it went on really smoothly and wasn’t hard to make even which surprised me.

  • Is there anything you would change about this product? Just the colour - as I said, dark is good for a holiday but a bit much for my every day tan.
Mollypolly2610 · 23/05/2019 18:02

Hi Ellie. I never received a replacement for the tan remover from them. I have left feedback on the remover.
