This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who tested out Sunkissed’s Self-Tan Mousse Dark variant and their new innovative Hydrating Jelly Tan.

I tested the dark mousse.
What I liked most was the smell.
Instant holiday atmosphere with the fragrance.
My tan lasted 4 days.
Cruelty free products are very important to me. I'd score a 5/5.
I would buy again definitely.
I checked the price online and can't believe how cheap it is.
I wouldn't change anything about the product.

I wouldn't change anything about it, it's a brilliant self tanner, light, non sticky, pleasant smell and good colour.

I liked the tan a lot. It went on easily and was smooth and not streaky. The tan smelt really good

• What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan?

I loved the smell. I absolutely cannot stand biscuity fake tan smell and this did not smell like that at all. I happily slept in it and it still smelt good in the morning

• How long did your tan last?

Tan lasted well, around 5 days. It did wear off inside my elbows a bit but this is due to the number of exercise classes I do and is the same with all fake tans I have used

• How important are cruelty free and natural products to you on a scale of 1-5 (1 not at all - 5 very)?

I would say 3 for cruelty free and 4 for natural

• Would you purchase this product again?

Yes I would it was really good

• Is there anything you would change about this product?

I found the mitt was awkwardly shaped and the sides of it were scratchy. It also felt quite thin and cheap. A thick velour tan mitt would really do the trick and would make the product seem even more luxurious.

About 6 days, I shower every day and I was using exfoliating gloves and moisturiser

It does end up smelling quite "fake tanny" after a while, if I could change that so it kept its coconut kind of smell for the whole development time that would be amazing.

This is honestly my favourite product. I've had one bottle of it and use it about once a month for occasions/competing and it never fails. My tan always looks perfect and if I use a mitt it's gorgeous and streak free. It goes nice and dark without being orange.
No unpleasant smell associated with this tanning product, no streaks & my skin feels so soft after rinsing.

What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan? I loved the fact it absorbed so quickly when you applied it and it looked natural.

• What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan? I loved the smell of it as its not your normal smell but did get the biscuit smell like most tans the day after.

• How long did your tan last? About 3 days then needed to re apply.

Yes definitely loved everything about it best tan iv had. Although first time I did end up abit patchy as it dries so quickly I forgot where I had done.

I thought the smell had a great aroma - quite tropical and no nasties.

Absolutely. Good product, Application was easy with great results. Definitely on par with my usual tanning mousse. (Bondi Sands).

Good clear guide colour, easy to apply. Love the smooth mitt.

Lovely smell. Not too strong or biscuity.

Around 3 days. It was very subtle and didn’t leave much colour.

Maybe slightly more pigment. Though it does give a good natural glow.

The colour was natural looking as I'm very pale. Also liked that it was natural

It was better than other tans but I could still smell it.

5 - I can't use lanolin so vegan is always a bonus as I know I won't react.

No although it said dark it was actually quite natural once on the skin

I tested Hydrating Jelly Tan in light-medium.

• What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan?

I loved fragrance and that it is vegan and cruelty free. Jelly tan was something new I never tried before and I liked how this tan worked. Skin felt moisturised, not sticky, fragrance was lovely, just right strenght. Bottle is attractive too and you can see how much jelly tan is still left.

• What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan?

Smell was wonderful, different from usual self tan fragrances.

• How long did your tan last?

My tan lasted 6 days.

• How important are cruelty free and natural products to you on a scale of 1-5 (1 not at all - 5 very)?

5 for me natural and cruelty products are so important, firs of all there is less cruelty to animals, better for environment and of course better for me too. Nowadays most products are full of nasty chemicals and some people worry about food they eat and don't skin about stuff they put on their skin. It is great to choose product with natural ingredients which works.

• Would you purchase this product again?

Yes. I would purchase it again as it is great product for lovely tan. I do messed first time around with my feet and they didn't looked too attractive but next time it was much better. I never used jelly tan before and it was exciting experience. Skin wasn't sticky, smelled gorgeous and looked great.

• Is there anything you would change about this product?

Product itself is great however my bottle come damaged with pump broken. I didn't find anything at home which would be suitable to replace it and was using it without any pump at all just opening bottle and trying to squeez jelly out. It was harder than I was expected and bit mesier that I would have liked as it was jell it stayed in bottle.
That's why my only advice would be pack better bottle's pump part because without pump it isn't easy to get jelly out.

• What did you like most about your Sunkissed tan? It was easy and fast to apply

• What did you think about the smell, when you applied the tan? It has quite a nice, sweet smell and not a chemical one that so often lingers from other self tans I’ve used in the past

• How long did your tan last? About 4 days, it needed topped up on the 4th day in places.

It was easy to apply, no streaks, it developed into a lovely golden colour & it dried fast.

It wasn't as overpowering as some self tans I have used in the past.

Natural - 3 - it's s bonus if it's natural but not a necessity.

Animal cruelty - 5 - very important, I hate the thought of animals being harmed for beauty purposes.

No I was really happy with all of it.

I tested the dark mousse.

I liked the coconut smell and that it was easy to apply and fit once no streaks.

I really liked the smell hate the biscuit smell that you usually associate with fake tan.

The colour lasted with good effect for about 4 ish days but I did exfoliate heavily before application - not sure if that made a difference.

I would use this again and have recommended it to people at work
