This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who have been testing brand new range of cold-pressed baby food, My First Savsé.

Here’s what Guka, the founder of Savsé has to say: “When we looked at manufactured baby food, we realised babies weren’t getting the nutrients they deserved. Refusing to feed my own child pasteurised product, I wanted to push boundaries and create the freshest baby food possible. After all, real food isn’t just for adults.

This is why we created My First Savsé – Europe’s first cold-pressed, HPP baby food that’s as good as homemade. Unlike heat pasteurised baby food – which experiences a shocking 40% reduction in nutritional value – with My First Savsé the nutritional value of our 100% Organic, Grade A fruit and veg is never* compromised.

*Source: Fruselva Laboratories, July 2017 (tests carried out vs. heat pasteurised competitor x)”

Also from My First Savsé: “By cold-pressing our fruit and veg we don’t strip the goodness, replacing heat pasteurisation in favour of non-thermal High Pressure Processing (HPP) to ensure all vital nutrients are locked into each pouch, removing any nasties without compromising on taste or quality.

A busy parent will have to make a million compromises on a daily basis, but quality nutrition for their baby should never be one of them. However, with 1 in 4 parents unable to prepare homemade baby food due to work pressures, many have been forced to rely on heat pasteurised options bought in-store, with a sell by date often older than the babies themselves! But compromise no more. Our brand new cold-pressed baby food range, My First Savsé, has solved the problem - because babies deserve real food too.

Unlike heat pasteurised baby food, you won’t find My First Savsé in the baby aisle - oh no. You’ll find it in the chiller, alongside all the other fresh products!”

Testers, once the products are finished, please answer the below questions as well as leaving any other feedback you have:

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

We’d also love to see some photos of your little one testing My First Savsé cold-pressed baby food, so please share on the thread if you can.

If you’d like to share your experience on social media, please do using the hashtag #myfirstsavse

All testers who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I did know that and had seen it in the pet aisle. I don't think this will change the way I shop though.

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

She really did like them all, hard to discern if here was a favourite!

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I think the quality is good and there is a USP there with the production method. I would like to see more savoury / dinner options though.

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Probably not I'm afraid, purely because I normally use pouches when out and about and I wouldn't want to worry about keeping them cool.

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes, if they were looking for something different to the usual pouches.

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I wasn't aware that there was chilled pet food before this, but it may change how I shop for my little one.

2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

Pear, Pea, Apple and Spinach was his favourite flavour from the range, he enjoyed it and could eat more than the pouch had

3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

Most of the flavours are fruit-based and it would be nice to see more with a veg predominance so that they get used to the taste of sweet and savoury instead of just sweet. My First Savse compares favourably although I think some single or duo flavours, especially veg ones would make me want to buy them.

4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I would purchase it if I were due out for a meal and there was no alternative I could get, but it wouldn't be my first choice mainly due to the price.

5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would recommend if I felt that their personal ethos fit in with the company ethos but I wouldn't go out of my way, because they are quite expensive, quite thin and easily damaged pouches (one of the pouches had split and had to be thrown away) and this I feel would give a bad impression if I recommended something that split and spilt. I feel that if the packaging were improved, price point changed and more flavours added I would be more likely to recommend to more people.

  1. I wasn't aware that you could buy chilled pet food but I had realised that there was no availability of chilled baby food. I'm not sure I would buy the chilled product because of the 'best before date' situation.
  1. Oliver did enjoy all of the products, but as he's just turned 1 year old he 'drank' them rather than being spoon fed.
  1. I think there needs to be more meat and vegetable products so they could be used as dinners and there is no sugar from the fruit content.
  1. I would only buy it if I was out shopping and I hadn't thought to bring along lunch, but I find it a bit expensive to buy regularly.
  1. I would recommend them as first tastes for babies, it becomes less economical to buy them as baby gets older.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I wasn't aware of chilled pet food being available. I doubt it will change the way I shop for my baby. I use pouches for convenience when out so having to keep it in the fridge would defeat it's purpose for me.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

She liked all of them as they were mostly apple in them. We didn't get to try the lentil one as it was sent out of date and no replacement turned up as promised.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

Even though the flavours were interesting they were mostly apple. If using interesting ingredients I wouldn't overide them with the strong taste of apple.
Also, they are very expensive. With so many pouches out there offering organic ingredients with no added sugar or preservatives, parents have many other options that are cheaper.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Unlikely because of the price. I usually give her fruit at home and so I don't see the benefit of replacing the fruit and vegetables I make for her at home with these pouches.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would probably make them aware of this option but most likely recommend just doing it at home as I use pouches for convenience only.

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No I didn't, and probably not as I tend to buy long life ambient stored fruit purees so they can be taken out with us for her lunchtime.

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The apple one

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

more adventurous flavours

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Yes probably, my daughter liked feeding herself and she liked the flavour.

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes, because they're fresh, some nice flavour combinations and they're handy.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No I wasn't aware, no it won't change anything.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

Pear, pea apple and spinach.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

You need to do more savoury flavours - they all have sweet fruit or veg in them and babies need more savoury to begin with.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Not thought about that before, probably not as they seem expensive and have too many flavours in each pouch.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

No, too much hassle having to keep it in the fridge and they need more savoury flavours.

salisunflower · 06/09/2017 18:54
  1. No I did not know this. I probably won't change my shopping habbits as it is very expensive.
  2. My little one loved all of the pouches I don't think there was a particular favourite. He devoured them all and made yummy noises. I tried them too, they were delicious.
  3. I don't think the recipes can be improved. Great variety of flavours and healthy! I think they are better than others on the market as they are fresh and so not full of preservatives. Unfortunately they are too expensive for me so I will make my own food.
  4. I would buy occasionally or if on offer as they are pretty expensive. I think they are great though as they retain all nutrients as opposed to jarred food.
  5. I would recommend to others as my baby loved the food and it is full of nutrients as it is fresh. Unfortunately however I don't think many of my friends would want to spend this much.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one? It's nice to have chilled food for the baby in the fridge but the convenience of pouches with a long shelf life will always be a winner for me.
  2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? The one with coca it was delicious and enjoyed by the whole family.
  3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? The combinations are great and the taste is luxurious. As long as the price and shelf life is the same as other supermarket options I would always choose the chilled savse.
  4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? It wouldn't make a difference to me.
  5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? Yes because it is delicious and great for teething toddlers who want something cold/chilled on their gums.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
No I wasn't aware. I may look to purchase if the flavours were more like ones I'd create at home.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
Just Apple.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
Have flavours that people are likely to make at home. The flavours are a little different to those currently available.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
If it was on sale at the same price as other brands.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? Yes for first tastes. Possibly not for meals.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? I wasn't aware.

Will this change the way you shop for your little one? Honestly I don't think so. I think for us the appeal of baby food in pouches was that it could be chucked in a nappy bag and pulled out when needed. Having to have it refrigerated makes it less appealing in the convenience area.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
Cucumber, kiwi, kale, spinach, apple, and banana.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes?
I don't think they need improving really. There was a nice range of flavours and nothing seemed over powering.

How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? As far as freshness goes it's second to none but needing to be refrigerated hinders it really for those looking for more on the go conveince.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? I may occasionally purchase it but I can't see myself changing completely to it.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? If my friend was looking for an organic fresh type of baby food then sure but in honesty I don't think I run with the serious "natural" crowd.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I have no idea there is chilled pet food available in retailers as I don't have one. Though it would definitely not change the way I shop
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
Kiwi, cucumber, kale apple and spinach flavour, though she enjoyed all of them and never refused any.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

They should include more vegetables and keep it simple to 2 or 3 varieties of veg or fruit in one pouch. Is one of the best baby pouch product I have tried and you could tell the taste of the veggie or fruit inside. This is a distinct difference to other products I have used.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I will definitely purchase it if is widely available on the condition the price is reduced as is too expensive.
It seems one of the best out there and my daughter really enjoyed it and no issues with it and for the fact is organic and cold pressed

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I will definitely recommend it to friends and family to try as the taste stand out for me and is organic fruit and vegetables .

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No, I've never seen chilled pet food. I will now look out for this product but doubt il find it in sleepy Shropshire! Sadly I'm not sure this will take off, the woman who launched kiddylucious tried and failed to get fresh baby food fridges in stores.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The pear and pea one, but I'm not surprised as it was super sweet with very little savory ingredients.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

More savoury, less fruit heavy. I was deffo sucked in by the 'fresh' idea and subconsciously thought fridge food=healthy but as I say, it's a bit of a gimmick.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I am a bit let down by the out of date stuff that never got replaced and the sweet flavour to everything BUT I might occasionally get sucked in if I had a third child.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

No I don't think so, mainly for the above reasons. Sorry.

once the products are finished, please answer the below questions as well as leaving any other feedback you have:

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I didn't know that! I don't think knowing this would change the way I shop.

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

she loved the apple....and cried when it was finished...I had to let her see the empty packet lol

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? the cuCumberland wasn't a big hit....it was a clean taste to me but I can see why she didn't like it. very strong taste for a little baby.
How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

we always used elles kitchen which were a hit, but my first savse tasted healthier and not as sugary. I'd like to know what the RRP will be as this would be my deciding factor.

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

yes I would ,again price dependent, but if.prices similar is pick my first savse as it is healthier and more nutritious

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

definitely, my baby ate them... this in its self is a great reason as she can be so fussy. I froze a packet as I knew I was going on a long journey with no cooler and it defrosted perfectly and still tasted great

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
The thought had never crossed my mind and it won't change the way I shop.

2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
The one with cocoa in for sure. She wasn't really fussed about any others; the flavours seemed thrown together.

3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
I think the flavour combinations were a little too weird and were all very strong on the apple. More savoury options would probably go down well.

4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
No I wouldn't. The science behind it needs to be more clear for how beneficial it is, especially for £1.70. They didn't blow me away enough to buy more.

5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
No. They're a bit too pricey, they can't be taken out and about because of the time frame they need to be used in, and they can't be stored due to the expiry date. They don't seem very convenient.

jeezlouise85 · 06/09/2017 20:19

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I wasn't aware that there was chilled pet food available, but it won't change how I shop.

2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
Pear, Pea, Apple and Spinach.
He tolerated the cacao and the beetroot pouches but really disliked all the others and I ended up eating them myself.

3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
I think it's a bit sneaky that they're called 'pear, pea, apple & spinach' for example when it should really be listed in order of volume, i.e. 'apple, pear, spinach & pea'. It makes them sound healthier / less sugary than they really are.
I do like that they're cold pressed as I've always wondered how nutritional the heat-pasteurised pouches are so it's reassuring to know that my baby is actually getting all the vitamins and nutrients that they would be if I made the same puree at home.

4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I only tend to buy pouches either to take on holiday with me (as I know I'll struggle abroad) or just to have in the cupboard in case of emergency, so keeping a fresh pouch in the fridge isn't really appropriate for me. While I do appreciate the higher nutritional value it's not enough to overrule the convenience of heat-pasteurised pouches. I would only ever buy them as a one off.

5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
If I knew someone who was just starting to wean their baby and they weren't the most savvy with various fruits & veggies then I might, but only in those circumstances.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food?

No I did not know this.

Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No it will not change the way I shop.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

My daughter liked them all but the cacao was probably her favourite.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

As my daughter is slightly older and well established with solids I found that each of the pouches contained a sweet fruit element and I think she would have preferred something a little more savoury.

The pouches are convenient but it is not great that they are chilled as you can't easily take them out and about and keep them cool.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I may purchase these if they are on offer but otherwise they are very expensive in comparison to the pouches we normally buy.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would recommend but again only when they were on offer and as a way of discovering new taste combinations.

Chocolatekeepsmesane · 06/09/2017 20:37

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
No and no, but I didn't know there was chilled pet food either.

  1. Probably the Apple.
  1. More savoury flavours would be good. I think it has less choice than other pouches at the moment.
  1. No I would not for a few reasons. They are expensive, I have a lot more cupboard space than fridge at home so for storage, I tend to use pouches for day trips out and it is harder to transport chilled pouches. I'm not particularly bothered about it being heat pasteurised although after reading other replies I now think it is probably better if baby food is heat pasteurised to prevent any bacteria from being present which could make them poorly.
  1. No for all the above reasons

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I think I did know that but I hadn't made a connection. It would change the way I shopping except DS didn't like the flavours.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

He didn't really like any of them I'm afraid

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I think you could do with more savory options. He loves savoury and ate a lot of the piccolo pouches.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

If they brought out a wider range of choices I would give it another go, because it seems like the freshest option compared to the other similar brands.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes I would because although my ds didn't like them I like the idea behind the brand.

Mindblank · 06/09/2017 20:51
  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one? No, I didn't know this. Probably wouldn't change my shopping habits
  2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?. Pear, pea, apple & spinach seemed to go down ok.
  3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? Less apple! All of the pouches that I was sent had apple in them - I thought the options were pretty limited in comparison to other ranges.
  4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? It wouldn't be the deciding factor for me. I'm not familiar enough with the pros & cons of heat pasteurisation to allow that to persuade me. I'm more influenced by the range of flavours and prices.
  5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? No, I wouldn't. To me, the convenience of a pouch is being able to shove it in my bag as a "just-in-case". Having to keep it refrigerated defeats the purpose. I also found the texture very runny & like many others, my DD had a very bad stomach after eating these.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I was aware that before My First Savsé there were no chilled baby food available. I love the idea of the freshness and as much of the nutrition being kept. I guess the only downside is the practicality of keeping it chilled when I'm out and about which is when I predominantly use pouches. If my baby was younger (currently 10 months) I would use them more at home, but for his age, because of the texture being too runny for his stage of weaning I probably wouldn't buy these for the house because of the need to use them in a 12 hour window.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

He loved all the flavours except for the cacao one. I would say we both (!) enjoyed the kiwi, kale & spinach one - it reminded me of the Savsé green smoothie!

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I personally love the flavours available, except for the cacao one. I would just like different textures for the different stages of weaning to be available.

In comparison to the other brands available, I love the predominance of the vegetables in these pouches. But as mentioned above, it's the practicality of keeping it chilled which would make me choose other brands over this one.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

If I was in the earlier stages of weaning I would buy these, but not too often because I wouldn't be able to take these out and about with me. But for having a back up in the fridge at home when I've not managed to make something, then yes. If different textures were available, all of the above would apply now.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Definitely to someone at an earlier stage of weaning. They taste great and are nutritionally great. As stated above, you couldn't have them in your bag when you're out and about but for having food at home, these would be great.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one? Yes. I've bought a lot of baby food that requires no chill but this one definitely tastes much better and fresh.
  2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? She loves all of them and i tried myself they are delicious.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one? I was aware of this but it will not change the way I shop
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? The plain apple purée
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? I would suggest maybe they offer plain flavours rather than different fruits & vegetables mixed so you could get an idea of what your baby enjoys. I have never purchased baby food as have always made my own so I couldn't compare
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I would not, the price seems a lot for what the product is & I feel that if people are looking for the convenience of food in a pouch they will also be looking at the price difference
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I would not recommend this product, I don't feel it was good enough to warrant the price or that it was any better than making the food yourself

Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one? I did not know about Savse and for me it is less appealing to know that this brand made, makes pet food.
Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? She just sucked in the pure apple pouch and finished it in no time. Other recipes were not as lucky.
How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? It is a good product, but also there are other organic fruit and veg mix pouches available.
Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurized, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? No, it is because if I want to give a none pasteurized, none cooked fruit or veg to my baby, I will smash them and serve her like that and she will have fresh fruit and veg. Also this pouch is crazy expensive £1.69 for one, last 1 min.
Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? I do not think they would be impressed with the RRP.

  1. No I wasn't aware. This will change my opinion about shopping, but because I don't buy pouches very often.
  2. She loved Apple, Pear, Pea and Spinach
  3. I would like to see more veggie pouches and more textured options for older babies.
  4. Yes, I would buy it once in a while, as I'm always looking for a healthy option for my family.
  5. Yes, but it's expensive. It's a bit different than the other brands, more healthy, organic.

This in itself doesn't really change my view. But, this is the first "processed" baby food I was able to get my daughter to eat. At 18 months, she's really too old for puree, but she did love the fruit options. The apple one tasted exactly like the apple purée I prepared for her, which was very reassuring.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
The blueberry, prune etc one she particularly liked. She ate it like a yoghurt pouch. The others she wasnt particularly fussed about but again, I think she is a little old.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
I cannot compare them other than to say this is the only pouch I have been able to get my daughter to eat, which must be a positive! I tried Ella's kitchen but she wouldn't take more than a mouthful. Hipp she wouldn't even let me spoon in! I would recommend marketing the fruit ones as a fruit pouch, rather than/as well as a baby food option.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I wouldn't buy these as my daughter is too old to need them.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I think that I would recommend them, as they taste home made but with added convenience
